Went to get my propane tanks refilled for my husband, who was cooking breakfast burritos down the street for DST coffee. I've never done that before and it's my first time here for that. I pulled up to where the propane tanks are and I saw a guy sitting there. I asked, "Is this where I get my tanks refilled?" He replied, "I'm refilling one right now" and he motioned for me to park. So I did. He got done filling that tank and said, "Be right back." So I sat in the car for about ten minutes and waited. A truck pulled up behind me while I was waiting, almost blocking me in. He actually backed up a bit so I can get out. I told the man in the truck that I was waiting for propane and he said he is there for that, too. The guy comes back and immediately greets the man in the truck and starts filling up his propane. I got out of the car and said, "Hey, I was waiting for you!" And he said, "Well where are your tanks?!? Everyone else puts their tanks on that table for me to fill!" I told him they're in the back seat of my car and that they're heavy and I needed help to get them out since I just recovered from a pulled muscle in my lower back. I told him it was my first time there and I didn't know I was supposed to do that and how he could have just told me and I would've done it. So I go to take my tanks out of the car and he says, "You can go somewhere else. I'm not filling your tanks for you." And I was like what? For not knowing I was supposed to take the tanks out and put them on the table?! He again tells me to go somewhere else. I didn't even get the chance to take the tanks out of the car and he was already telling me no. He KNEW I was still there waiting and he KNEW I was there for propane so why help the guy that just pulled up instead of me? I wasn't just sitting in the spot he told me to park in for fun. I was waiting for him to "be right back." He was being a jerk ON PURPOSE. My husband is a long time customer and has always been cool with this guy; they have even gone snowboarding together in the past. We have even purchased tires from him for two of our vehicles. When I mentioned my husband's name, he said he didn't know who he was. He yelled at me to shut up as I drove away since I was yelling at him at this point for talking s**t about me with another customer and for his blatant rudeness and unprofessionalism. He doesn't NEED my business, so he probably doesn't NEED yours either. Everyone is "narcissistic"or "entitled" per his responses to reviews that are less than 5 stars. Read the reviews and his responses for yourself. No gratitude for his 5 star reviews, either. The city of Gardnerville should be ashamed of this guy as he does not represent the kindness this city has shown me since I moved up here from Los Angeles 6 months ago. I have NEVER had someone go that unhinged on me for no reason. Jimmy, go ahead and reply with how I was entitled or narcissistic or don't know how to read or how I was "so mad for some reason" or how I was rude or whatever else you can come up with. Seems like that's your go to response for everyone. It's never you, but all us dumb customers, right? Instead of trying to improve your attitude and customer service from these reviews, you are consciously choosing to berate your customers instead. You clearly hate your job so please go and take a vacation. Also, please seek help for your anger management issues and mental health. Many resources online for you to look up. I can't wait to read your response so I can prove my point to anyone reading these reviews. Save your breath if you want to tell me how you would love to see someone like me drive right by because I will never come back to your dirty dump. Gardnerville, stay away from this place.

$49 for "general merchandise" We were charged for topping off gas.

Never have I been to a gas station and witness a near fight with the owner and a patron. Apparently, there is a small sigh on BELOW the pump that cautions people on topping off. The people across from us who pulled up the same time we did spilled a little gas as we did. The owner came out and demanded both of us pay a $49 fee for spilled gas. The other people argued this which caused a verbal to almost fist fight. My husband paid and we got out of there. We should've fueled across the street at Arco which we only a couple cents more per gallon. Never have I seen a gas station that charges for topping off.

This gas station doubles as a U-HAUL location. It is in a sleepy town in the valley. Pacific Gasoline has cheap gas, making it easy & economical to fill up on your way in or out of town. The employees were friendly

$49 charge for general merchandise diesel clean up!
    Brian C.

This just does not sit right with me! We stop here yesterday 10/16/22 because the diesel price was good. I was pump diesel when I overheard a young man with a broom and a man in a truck arguing. The young man was stating go back to California and cussing loudly, then called this man in the trucks wife a whore. Things quickly escalated where the young man took his shirt off and other customers had to step in to prevent this fight. I then learned that the young man was the owners son. I continued pumping diesel and tried to put the issue out of my mind. I noted the pump was filling my truck fast. The pump shut off and as I always do I waited a few seconds for the diesel to settle. I made a comment to the owners son to try and calm things down, "that I appreciated their price on diesel!" I topped off my truck with a squeeze off the pump handle, diesel fuel began spilling onto the ground. I was surprised as was the customer next to me. Then the owners son stated they have to charge me $49.00 for topping off and that he saw me top off and pointed to small sign at the bottom left hand corner of the front of the pump. I then realized the issue with the last customer was over this charge and topping off. The owners son then told me they had been sued over topping off and came over to the pump I was at, removed the gas pump nozzle and poured gasoline onto the diesel fuel spill. I inquired as to why he was doing this and he stated the gas was a solvent to help clean up the diesel. At this point to myself I stated this is nuts. The owners son then said it takes them 1.5 hours to clean spills. I questioned this and stated there's no way putting kitty litter on the spill and then vacuuming it up takes 1.5 hours. What these people are doing is wrong, they are trying to overcharge for topping off to cover them getting sued. I know a thing or two about fueling stations. I've worked at refueling station performing service to HVAC systems. I know these are not the same but being around the industry you learn things. Most people would not know the pump pressure setting is too high. Most would think the pump are fueling their vehicles fast and that is good, right? The pump pressure at this station is set way too high this causing spills. The owners quit possible do not know this. The issue here is the charge and the posting off a small sign in a place no one would look. No other fueling station in the area charges this fee. My advise is do business some place else. This fueling station is not good for the community.

Came here to return my uhaul trailer. The owners couldn't be any nicer. Felt like an old time gas station in Texas. Filled up the tank and got a Diet Coke.

The OWNERS unprofessional attitude. You think he deserves business?

However, last Sunday, one particular incident left many customers shocked and disappointed. The lady's unprofessional behavior towards a customer and his daughter was completely unexpected and uncalled for. It all started when my ex-husband and daughter went into the store to make a purchase. As my ex was completing his transaction, the lady turned to him and uttered, "Fuck you, you fucking drunk." This derogatory statement was not only offensive, but it also left my daughter in tears. She immediately called me, and I was appalled by what had just happened. Without wasting any time, I rushed to the store to speak to the manager. Despite repeated requests, the lady continued to blame my ex for her unacceptable behavior. This only added fuel to the fire. I firmly told her that her behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. As a regular customer, and a concerned parent, I expected better treatment from the employees of this store. My tone was assertive, as I wanted to make it clear that such behavior would not be tolerated. As a customer, I have the right to expect respectful and courteous treatment from the staff at 7/11. It is their responsibility to provide a safe and comfortable shopping experience for all customers. Their behavior towards customers reflects poorly on the store's image and reputation. I suggested to the manager that if my ex was causing such a problem, he should either be banned from the store or the police should be called. I firmly believe that no customer should be subjected to such derogatory and offensive language, regardless of the circumstances. The lady's actions were not only unprofessional, but they also displayed a lack of respect and courtesy towards customers. As a concerned parent, I was shocked and dismayed by the incident. My daughter's tears were a clear indication of the impact of the lady's behavior. It is important for employees to understand that their actions not only affect the customers but also the store's reputation. In today's digital age, word travels fast, and one negative experience can result in a loss of potential customers. In conclusion, the incident at 7/11 last Sunday was an unfortunate one. The lady's unprofessional behavior towards a customer and his daughter was completely unacceptable. As a customer, I expect better treatment from the employees of this store. I hope that this incident serves as a wake-up call for the management to ensure that their staff is trained to handle difficult situations with professionalism and respect. Let's strive to create a welcoming and positive shopping experience for all customers at 7/11.
