SCORE! The older gentleman who did the recert and filled my tanks also taught me something about how to measure the levels bc the gauges are often wrong. Super rad - always appreciate helpful tips. Growing up, my Father and Grandfather owned and operated an APCO station in Estherville, Iowa, hence my tendency to review every gas station I come across. Gasoline is a commodity, so things like price, clean restrooms (as applicable), and convenience are my key interests in what is usually an unremarkable customer experience. Hence, a 3 Star "A-OK" rating is the most common. That's what this Pacific Gasoline Station received then and right now. I have filled up several times since the review, and what I wrote remains true today. So yesterday, I'm attending a Genoa Western Heritage Day event, look at my phone, and see that a comment had been added to my review. I've pasted it in below, and I'll have to say that it's rare to be personally attacked that way for a middle-of-the-road "A-OK" review. Looking at similar (and lower) Yelp reviews, it appears that I'm not the only one in this "owner's" crosshairs, who might not take such realistic comments well. Since this is a self-serve station and he/she isn't normally around to police customer experiences, I'll be sending knowing smiles and optimism his/her way every time I fill up. SMH. "Our business does not cater to the entitlement that you clearly displayed here in your review. Being a customer does not give you a right to patronize businesses because your ego has less than accommodating expectations. All businesses should be vigilant towards narcissistic customers like you. Thank you for saving our customers from the grief you carry around with you by passing on by."

Maverik is our favorite last-chance stop on our way back home. They had everything I needed. My phone mount broke, and I'm so glad they had a few to choose from. I also needed some dill pickles (J get car sick but for some reason these fix it. Don't judge me.) We also needed some good protein, and I'm so glad they had an ample selection of jerky, nuts, and even some bean dip that went well with the chips we already had. The staff was so sweet helping me checkout. The store is super clean, and it was a really positive trip. I'm so glad that we could fill up on gasoline and get our road trip items all in one stop right off the highway.

They offer three different blends for hot or iced. My personal favorite is their house blend. It's a good thing Maveriks are popping up on every corner. While on the road, Maverik will be the only gas station I'll purchase food from. Employees are always friendly and restrooms are usually kept clean. Asking why I was shaking the door the sign on the door says 10 PM closed. It was 9:30 PM and he was curious on why we were having a conversation. At 930, when it says close at 10, he says he leaves it 10, but the sign on the door says closes. At 10 website, says closing soon in a 1/2 an hour. Yet can't get any service would not recommend this place. Either they got to change the sign to whenever they lock the front door why the advertisers open till 10 PM? And it's close at 930 makes no sense to the customer.

I already get 5% back cause I have the City Costco credit card that doubles as my membership card at the store. I like that the card scanners work super well at the Costco gas station. No multiple swipes or taps, just wave it on front of the scanner once and it's done, get to pumping! I was surprised there weren't huge lines here, like most of the Costco gas stations. I think this is one of the least crowded Costcos, the store included, well, compared to any big city Costco. All gassed up and then the pump asks by default, is no receipt OK? If you want one, then it will print one, but just go online to your Costco account page and see all your purchases, including the gas! I like this Costco Gas station!

When I'm around, the Douglas County Recycle Center is very close, of which I'm a regular visitor dropping off mostly cardboard, paper, cans, bottles, etc. I do that because Douglas Disposal does not offer curbside recycling at home and I can't stand the idea of throwing all this stuff away. And since all this burns gas (it takes me about a half hour to get around here from Genoa), I'm happy I have this 7-11 close by. Me and my Upside App have also been here to take advantage of discounted gas. And yes I checked that the discounted price was a good deal in comparison with other gas stations in the area. The Upside App does work, although the ads touting that I could save as much as $200 on fill ups will probably take a long while for me.
