Painting my buddies house in Carnelian Bay so came here a bunch for beer because it is only two blocks away. They have CALDERA beer which is pretty hard to find anywhere and most lagunitas beers so hats off to them. They have also a bunch of different breweries cans and 22ounce bottles so they place isn't that bad for beer like most other 711's and that's why the 4 stars. Got the new lagunitas Citrusinensis which was pretty good on the flavour and not to much of a bitter aftertaste so I really liked it.

A candle for both fragrance and lighting!

Love getting coffee at the local 7-Eleven for our trip to palisades. The store was clean the bathroom was fine. Cashier was OK.

Inside seating was mainly stools along the front window with excellent views of the trees and water. I really liked that there was a central coat tree where you could hang your heavy coat, especially with the limited seating. Some tables outside as well for sunny days. Interesting menu that blends standard breakfast with some healthier add-ins like quinoa instead of rice. Food tasted fresh, supporting their goal to serve natural, organic, and local ingredients. I opted for the Sunrise Sliders, and had no complaints. I particularly liked that the pretzel buns weren't too dense and didn't overwhelm the other ingredients. I was given the option to add pesto, and it added great texture and flavor. Great showcasing of local products like bagels from Tahoe Bagel Co. and Blind Dog Coffee.

The interior is nice and cozy (and warm), with light reggae music playing in the background. There're only two tables; the rest of the seating is VERY comfortable bar seating. With two walls of windows showing beautiful Lake Tahoe views--plenty of trees and the lake itself--there's plenty of morning light coming through. I was happy that they were serving smooth Laughing Dog coffee--a favorite. And the food came out quick and delicious, with a nice crisp on my burrito wrapper. The menu is limited, but what they do they do creatively and well--the quinoa in my burrito went great with the eggs, beans, and sausage, and they told my wife they were experimenting with their already creative pretzel bun sunrise sliders by adding pesto--a perfect extra optional touch for her.

What more could you want? These breakfast tacos are soooo good!! You will see in my Yelp profile that if you find me a breakfast taco, I will love you forever. And we love seeing Ana every time we go in to Tree House :) As a note, the sign says that they come with pulled pork. We are vegetarian, so we ask to have black beans substituted for the meat. It's not easy getting vegetarian food in this town, so we are so happy to have such a tasty breakfast option at this adorable and cozy cafe. Thank you, Ana, for making these pockets of joy!

Well, at the Tree House Cafe, you can have something good and at a fair price We were visiting Kings Beach for the afternoon on a whim and other than drinks weren't really prepared for lunch. This place's menu looked good plus they had outdoor and patio seating since we had our dog. It was hot out and they allowed well behaved dogs INSIDE with the cooler air. I had the loaded tater tots with creamy Mac and cheese topped with brisket. My son had the tri tip sandwich. The portions were large. I split my tots with my wife and we still had to take some home. My son only finished half. Anytime you order tots, the base has to be crispy with potatoe-y insides. This place delivered on that, plus the mac and cheese added a level of creaminess that paired well with the savory brisket. The brisket was BBQed with out too much sauce, this allowed the smokiness of the meat to come through and not be overwhelmed by the other ingredients. So overall, a winner in my book. I can't honestly say anything about the sandwich because I didn't try any of it. Maybe next time. But if facial reaction counts. My son was smiling .

Definitely a popular spot as every seat was filled when we arrived! Very limited food menu--they only offer two breakfast options. Breakfast burrito (rice, black beans, cheese, and chorizo) which can be ordered with or without chorizo but no other modifications since they're all pre made. Also had a breakfast sandwich option as well. I personally wasn't a fan of the breakfast burrito but my boyfriend really enjoyed his. The rice and beans were 90% of the burrito with very tiny bits of chorizo here and there so it just didn't feel like breakfast to me and I didn't finish mine. Everyone has different tastes though so if you enjoy bean and rice burritos I'm sure you would like this!

They did still have quiche available, though, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. I had the ham and spinach quiche, and it was really good. We also ordered a BLAT, what I believe was a Caprese-style sandwich with pesto, and a couple of iced hazelnut oat milk coffees. The coffee was excellent. I don't like overly sweet coffee drinks, and these were perfectly balanced. The cafe is a little off the main road, so you have to make a quick detour, but it's worth it. Service was quick, and we had plenty of time to grab our food and still make our reservation at the river. I didn't get any pictures because we were rushing to get back on the road, but everything looked fresh and tasted great. Next time I'm in Tahoe, I'll definitely make it a point to get there earlier so I can finally try their breakfast.
