Hubby and I stopped in to pick up some things we had forgotten to bring from home. My hubby got me the last pair of tortoise sunglasses they had, very stylish and cute on! This store gives me wood. The firewood at other 7-Elevens closer to Tahoe either had no wood or bundles too overpriced to buy. For that reason, I will forgive this 7-Eleven for the stale apple fritter and bland coffee. Besides, I think the *allegedly* older, rude, joke telling, drug ingesting grey-haired dude from the one-star reviews of 2022 is long gone. My cashier didn't tell me any jokes and had no drugs to sell me. read more

I don't think I have written a review for a 7-Eleven before, but I want to recognize the great customer service by one of the cashiers at this location. I wish I asked for her name, but I stopped by twice with my husband during our recent stay in Tahoe. The cashier was super friendly and patient with us. We got a few drinks and snacks and of course I wanted to get a scratcher. I had a hard time deciding which scratcher to get and I kept picking the ones they didn't have. The cashier didn't get frustrated or try to rush me at all. The second time we stopped by she was helping someone in-front of us in line. She seemed patient with him as well and assisted us promptly after. Even though our interaction was only for a few minutes, I was impressed by her friendliness and customer service skills. read more

**Hoping a manager sees this review.** Went in with my 3yo on Sunday 6/11/23 around 3-3:30pm. Guy behind register first ignored us, then said "customers just don't go away do they" then proceeded to drop the F bomb *while looking directly at my child* - He then repeated himself in some condescending aggressive tone telling me that my chip wasn't working and to "give him cash." I told him he was being rude and to watch himself, especially around kids, and I walked out. By the look of the other customers who went in and came out after me, I wasn't the only one he was implicitly rude to. We have lived in Olympic Valley for generations. I have NEVER had such a rude interaction here, ever. And to think this was on a visit I brought my kid along for them to witness this terrible example of a human at such a young, vulnerable age. The morning cashier totally ripped me off. I had bought and paid for 5 super lotto tickets and when I got to work I realized they only gave me 1 ticket! I tried to call the store but nobody would answer. I came back that afternoon to get my other tickets that I paid for but the employee said there was nothing he could do for me since he wasn't the guy who sold them to me. Owner was supposed to call me back but of course never did. Guessing they do this to tourists all the time. I work in Tahoe City and will never be back and will also tell everyone else of my experience as well. read more

Went in with my dad tonight to pick up some essentials while wearing our masks. Man working was incredibly rude and refused to put on a mask, a concern for obvious reasons but especially because my dad is older. He then sneezed all over the counter without covering his mouth and nose. Absolutely disgusting. read more

We stopped by this place twice during our stay at Tahoe. On the first time they charged a bag fee more than number of bags that my husband got. On the second time I picked up two bottles of water from the shelf which says 99 cents. But they came as $3.18. I pointed out the difference and they said it was shelved incorrectly and pointed out the empty shelf section next to it which says $1.39. Well it still does not add up to $3.18. They said the tax is included. Well I pointed out that the tax should show up at the lower section in the receipt. Then another guy said this is the bottle fee. Well it was also listed just below as the bottle fee. 10 cents. He pointed out yet different shelf which says $1.59 each, and continued to try to "explain" that this is still a good price and the guy who came to shelf water was the one who was wrong... I suggested to check and see if all the items that they sell are in the right shelf with the right price, as that should be the basics of sales. Otherwise they are being dishonest. read more

World's worst 7-11ever. Prices are always wrong, and the lady who works at night is incredibly rude whenever we go there. They won't honor ANY of their price tags either. ALWAYS ask for a receipt AND check your receipt because I've gotten home too many times to find out they ripped me off. Every time I try to buy items on sale, they aren't ACTUALLY on sale. Let me start by saying that its obviously very hard for a convenience store to get 1 star. This 7-11 Has everything you need, all the time. It's perfect. Kind of. Here's the thing... This day in age I find it harder and harder to spend my money where its not appreciated. The fact of the matter is the cashier at this fine establishment spends most of the time broing down with his friends through his ear piece instead of tending to his customers questions or needs. It's annoying when I stand at the counter and say hi to him and he throws his pointer finger up, waves it at me as if I've done something wrong, and then gestures towards his ear piece because he is to busy to greet his customer or be remotely helpful. Long story short this 7-11 gets 1 star because my money isn't appreciated. I will no longer go there. I know most people out there go because they have to and I used to be one of those people as well. Not any more. read more

We always seem to forget to load up on alcohol and snacks before arriving at The Resort at Squaw Creek, so this place is our save-all! $14.99 is fair for an 18-pack of Bud Light. The long line moved quickly. Well-stocked. Clean, spacious aisles. Close to Resort at Squaw. Convenient for guests staying there! Had just about everything we needed. read more

This 7-11 has a very conveinient location for me, otherwise I would avoid it. The people who work here are rude. There are no restrooms. They make you pay for hot food up front because they don't trust that you will pay for it before leaving. They are usually chatting on their bluetooth earpiece to someone in a far off land, while too busy to help customers right in front of them. I just watched the old lady that works there yell at a guy cause he doesn't speak english. They just kept yelling at him. Hello! He can hear you. He just doesn't know what you are yelling at him! I felt bad for the guy and embarrassed they would just yell at someone like that. English isn't their first language either so they should have more compassion and patience with customers. It seems like every time I go there I am turned off or disappointed for one reason or another. But hey it's a 7-11. Thanks for reading my rant about a freaking shitty 7-11! haha -Boom read more

I can't drive in the snow. I know, I know - I'm from Canada, I SHOULD be able to drive in the snow. But I'm from the very flat, nearly sub-tropic part of Canada, which I'm sure will have alligators roaming it's streets in a couple of decades, with the globe heating up at the rate that it is now. Yesterday I ran a nice lady in a big SUV off the road because I did a donut in the middle of Highway 89 while driving my husband and son to Northstar. Sorry lady. She was really, really angry and I was in a momentary state of shock and got turned around (donut left me heading back in the direction that I came from) so I kept driving. There was no place for me to pull over without holding up traffic or going off the road myself, but I still feel bad about not stopping. We turned around at the first possible place, which was Squaw Valley. There was a 7 Eleven at the corner and that's where we went. This location was definitely the lighthouse to my lost ship. My husband realized that I may not make it home in one piece with the roads the way they were and my recent display of driving deficiencies, so he went into 7 Eleven for chains. I've never driven a vehicle with chains on the tires - we use salt where I come from. While he put the chains on, I went in for provisions for me and the children. We munched on donuts (ha ha), chocolate milk for them and hot, but not so good coffee for me. The lady who was working behind the counter made me feel better when she said that even she went for an unintended spin that morning. We also bought an ice scraper brush and a plastic toboggan - you can't find those items at my neighborhood 7 Eleven. I made it back to the condo we rented for our vacation without incident, so those $40 chains were well worth the money. By the way, the lady in the big SUV was not there when we got back on the road and passed that spot, after we got the chains on and drove back. read more

The men behind the counter were extremely rude! They laughed and made fun of my kids because they assumed they didn't have enough money! Are you kidding me?? My kids were so upset and when they finished they pushed the bag across the counter to my daughter.
