I was excited to return to Killeen after 2 years of paying $4.62 for a Venti Carmel Machiatto . I was shocked to find that it cost more in Killeen then in California. The cashier was friendly and the service was fast but from the second I got my cup of coffee 75% I knew I had been had. Not only did it cost more than the same cup in the Bay Area but it was 25% light not Lite but light! Had to believe they can get away with it. Only the five Star server kept this from being a 1! So frustrated...I keep coming here because its close to home and work and has a drive thru. But I think I am going to have to drive out of my way bc the staff always seems to act like they are inconvenienced. I don't work for Starbucks, but I study here alot. First off, this is a busy Starbucks, so I can see Katie R.'s frustration. However, like all places, things come waves. If you get here during breakfast or lunch, expect a little wait. I really don't believe she waited 15 minutes. I like to go here to study and so I wait until the crowd dies down. I've yet to wait longer than 3 minutes and i've been here about 4 times now. Also, it may be busy, but most people take their drinks to go so Iv'e never had trouble finding a seat/table. There are only two locations for power outlets as far as I can see though. With that said, I've actually been able to sit down with the district manager of this location. Again, don't worry, I don't work for starbucks. It was a bit random. She and some of the crew were doing a taste test and invited me. Anyhow, I learned that this is the 2nd highest grossing Starbucks in Texas, which is pretty impressive considering it's in the middle of nowhere. She also said it was busier than any of the Manhatten locations. As for the internet, if you have an AT&T/SBC DSL connection at home, you get free Wifi at Starbucks nationwide. I've been mooching off the account I set up for my parents. Great deal, but that's another story.I'm sitting at the location using the wifi to type this out. It's obvious that I'm a big starbucks fan (blonde roast, steamed heavy cream or iced green tea!). But...this Starbucks holds a special place in my heart in the Killeen area...and I'm really going to miss the people that I have met over the years. I appreciate Paula who knows it's me by my order in the drive thru (and finishes my order as I attempt to finish it and then calls me sweet pea) to Christian who always knew exactly how to brighten my day (Thank you!) and Amber who knows me by name as soon as I walk through the door and no matter where she is at in Starbucks, makes it a point to say hello and ask me how I'm doing. Okay, look - a Starbucks is a Starbucks, but do yourself a favor and save some heartache and just go to the one on Ft. Hood street. For some crazy reason, my husband keeps going to this god awful place and has had his order messed up four times in a row. Once, I was on the phone with him and heard him tell the woman a Venti cafe latte, and got back a grande vanilla. Some of my best friends have been Starbucks baristas and they're all competent. I'm pretty sure this is the slowest Starbucks in America. At a New York Starbucks, if your grande double soy frappelatte isn't done in 30 seconds flat, there will be hell to pay. You'd be lucky to get a drink in less than 15 minutes here. It doesn't matter if I choose to go in or drive through, it's always the wrong choice. Went there a couple of days ago. They were nice and all, but the service sucked! I waited 30min just to get one drink that I ordered and they got it wrong! Not to mention that the 8 customers that ordered after me had ordered at least 4 drinks and they made it before mine! And I ONLY ORDER ONE! if I hadn't asked them where the heck my ONE drink was at, I don't think they would have ever made it. I know how busy they can be and I am a very patient person but making 32 drinks before mine. Not to mention that I ordered FIRST! Is crap! At least offer to make a size bigger! I work at a fast food restaurant and we get busy! But one thing I learn is never skip orders! I must have missed the memo about it being take your kid to work day... A toddler was running around the store and then was back behind the counter and obviously belonged to one of the three people working there.... Place behind counter was dirty for a Starbucks... Things on the floor; pitchers filled with beverages sitting out... Just surprised me. read more

We always go through the drive thru and its always really fast! They have just the average Starbucks service and taste, but they've never made a mistake for my drinks so I would say this is a good place. The location isn't totally ideal, but it's still really easy to access. read more

Every time we come here there is a line as long as the building. They have gotten my drink wrong more than 5 times; I've stopped going to this location as a result. Plus they have a guy that keeps calling you boss, which I find annoying, it's like every other word is boss... been a regular at Starbucks for years, since I love coffee and they do it right despite their ridiculously high pricing as of late but at least for me, it's worth the convenience, although not at this location.... you'll be waiting and waiting no matter the time of day. read more

Of the 4 Starbucks along 190 in Killeen/Harker Heights, this one is definitely the worst. We went in to relax, chat, and have a cup of coffee and even though we asked for mugs because we were staying in, one drink came in a to go cup and they forgot mine completely. No pleasant greeting, no music playing in the background, not even a smile on a single worker's face. I saw at least two other customers have to ask for corrections/fixes to their orders as well. It might as well just be a fast food style coffee drive-thru. read more

Love me some Starbucks! This location is wonderful, right there for when I grocery shop and go tanning. I enjoy going their to study or skype with a friend. Visiting the drive through today and picked up a grande tazo tea "Joy" seasonal flavor. The drive through line was quite lengthy but it did not linger and moved in a decent amount of time. My friend frequents this place, me not so much a Starbucks fanatic, and told me about a homeless man who usually positions himself in the nearby parking lot adjacent to the Starbucks and he likes hot coco. Anyway, I decided to purchase one for him. We made the circle around the building and called him to the car, told him it was hot coco and "happy holidays" he was very appreciative, asked us if we were single and told us we were beautiful. He had such a kindness in his voice and a pleasant smile. It felt bittersweet giving him cup of coco and knowing he would still be standing there in the cold. Wish I knew the information for the homeless shelter that will be opening in Killeen I would have passed on the information to him. This review seems to not be much about Starbucks at all, not the intent but a small good deed can make someone's day. read more

This Starbucks is awesome everyone is always friendly and i always got my Iced coffee exactly how i wanted it. Definitely miss having a Starbucks with a Drive thru now that i am back home in NYC. Worst starbucks I have ever gone to. I had to go to this one because the one I usually go to on clear creek was closed because of some minor flooding in the front. This place was the slowest, rudest, nastiest Starbucks I have ever done business with. After waiting almost 30 mins for 2 coffees, they ended up getting one of them wrong. When they replaced it with the right one, mind you almost a 5 dollar drink it tasted like watered down decaf with fat free creamer. When I got home I called and asked for a manager (Tony) he said to just bring it in. I told him its not worth the effort and I wanted him to know his employees are practicing bad tactics.
