Unexpectedly found this five star matcha latte! Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! We stopped in at the Killeen Mall prior to the 2024 eclipse and stumbled upon Coffee Beanery as shops were starting to put up 'be right back' signs to go watch the eclipse. The cafe was small but super nice with a more urban atmosphere, and the baristas were absolutely great. I ordered a small iced Matcha Latte and really wished I'd ordered a large. I'd admittedly expected an average quality latte at best with all of the lackluster coffee shop matcha lattes I've been trying recently, but my expectations were blown out of the water. They used a higher grade matcha and used the perfect amount in this Latte so you could taste the earthy flavor and savor it in every sip. It wasn't as smooth as some of the other five star lattes I've had m, but it was mixed, balanced, and crafted perfectly. They absolutely did this Latte right. It was rich, it was creamy, it was divine. If you're near the Killeen Mall you should absolutely stop in to give this café a try. I'm sad I'll have to travel out of city again to visit Coffee Beanery, but I'm so glad I got to experience it in the first place! read more

Coffee drinks and food are fair. Its a touch pricey but its good. The teens/young adults who work the counter are great. They work HARD, and have great customer service. My reasoning for 2 stars is because it is way too hot in the shop to actually enjoy being in there. There is a huge temperature difference between the mall and the shop. Annette and I go here every Sunday. The workers know our name and treat us like royalty. They actually bring us the coffee and let us us sit there and converse with our friends for as long as we want. The coffee is great and much better priced than the franchise that rhymes with car trucks. Mom and pop shops always seem to be better than the big guys. I wish they would add protein bars to their menu. read more

The service here has always been very professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Today I used a promotion from the text message service that they use. It was buy one get 1/2 off. You can substitute coffee for their smoothies. I got the berry and the second one I mixed the peach and mango. I tried the peach mango and it is very good. It also has a nice aftertaste. I ordered a Panini. She explained that you actually get a choice of wheat bread or croissant. I ordered aturkey guacamole sandwich with an option to substitute the Swiss cheese with spinach. It was good, but the guacamole was a little salty for my taste, but not overpowering. I give this place five stars as an average overall experience from all my visits. I bought coffee, etc. Then I needed a cup for some water. She told me I'd be charged $.50 for the cup. Ok that is WAY TO MUCH. I already overpaid for what I got and to even charge me at all for tap water was greedy. I went to another place in the food court an they gave me a cup of water at no charge. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I work in the mall so every morning I hope over here to grab some coffee before the day begins. If you are lucky Karmay will be working!! She remembers who you are, your order, and is always so happy and helpful. The first time I came in here I had no idea what I wanted, and she whipped me up a drink that is now my daily favorite!! It's also so nice to see her chitchatting with the older mall walkers who come in for a coffee break in the morning. You may come for the great (and I mean fantastic!) coffee but you will stay for the excellent customer service!!!! read more
