This Starbucks is situated between gates B8 and B10, and is a good sized kiosk location. While waiting on my afternoon flight out of B8, my group and I wandered over and scooped up our go to drinks. I went classic cold brew with almond milk, while others went iced mocha and macchiato. All the drinks were made as ordered. Service was friendly, but I wouldn't describe it as expedient. Overall, good spot to hit coming off or getting into a flight in/out of B gates. read more

This place was unorganized and took forever. Not a great speed when you are in an airport. The women at this Starbucks started suddenly cleaning when several drink orders came up. None of it made sense. Then i received one of my drinks but not the second one. I waited for a bit before asking where my second drink was. The ticket was sitting to the side along with several others. After that they told me they were out of what I ordered. I took a substitute drink and that was it. No sorry or anything. Ok so this Starbucks was super quick. I ordered on the app and had barely 10 minutes to spare before my flight took off- I'll say that they were quick. However, my "impossible" breakfast sandwich was very much undercooked and it was basically mush. Seems like inefficiency is endemic to airport Starbucks, but wouldn't it be swell if they could hire and train employees properly so that it's not a gamble that you're going to be able to grab your coffee in time to make a flight? Looks like there's only one Starbucks listing to cover all three located at MSY and the one that I'm reviewing here is the main one before you enter terminal B. And although there are Starbucks located in the far reaches of Terminals B and C, you are likely going to want to order from this one because you never know what you're going to get at the other ones either and those are often a hike depending on your gate. There's just never enough staff working at this busy busy location. And I feel like the employees are so burdened by this that they feel defeated. Everyone is nice enough, so I do feel bad for them. This is a management problem. But it's not as bad as T 5 Starbucks where I ordered ahead and was given a 45 minute wait time which ended up being accurate. So at least there's that. But you will likely need to account for a 10-15 minute wait at MSY. read more

Pro tip: ignore the location in the main walkway. Instead, walk down to B10 and visit this location. It's always less busy. When you're in the airport and need some coffee or a snack, this is where you should go. Your Starbucks app will work here. Your app will also allow you to pre-order here. Service is usually prompt and relatively friendly. I would imagine they experience lots of customers and their patience can wear thin. But if you're nice, they're nice. read more

The other reviews are true. I can't recommend this one. It took a very long time for the one person ahead of me to get their order. Then it took a long time for me to order and they messed up my order in the end. I didn't want to wait even longer for them to remake the drink so I just took the drink. I wanted iced, not hot! This is the western hemisphere's slowest Starbucks. There were four employees moving around, but the food and coffee drinks were coming out at a snails' pace. Not sure the issue, but coffee has been served in airports for a long time. And, of course, people trying to catch planes are not a patient bunch. read more

Concourse C the cashier is nice enough but can't hear over the coffee machines and music. They have a diverse Starbucks menu. All the smart people are ordering on line and smirk bullying the rest of us in this line that's literally 12 deep. They overheat everything and the matcha latte is watery. The woman who calls names is not glad to be here serving your order at 445am. Just go get it before she starts using her full face to read the order and stumble over parts of it, like she did with several names. Switch her to afternoons. read more

I get that it's hard to find good help right now, and I've tried not to hold it against places -- a long wait or incorrect order in the grand scheme of things doesn't warrant a rough review right now. But pair both of those experiences with flat out rude service? If I could give zero stars, I would. All four employees I encountered at this busy Starbucks acted like someone had pissed in their lattes. There was only one couple ahead of us when we placed our orders. We were greeted with a flat "What?" and in the middle of my friend ordering, the employee turned to another employee to say something. When she finished, she turned back to my friend and said, "I said what do you want??" We placed our orders and were dismissed, literally my with a flip of the hand and a "go." They messed up the order of the couple ahead of us -- the guy said it wasn't a problem that they gave him an iced americano instead of an iced latte, he just asked for some sugar to add to it (the self-serving station was empty). The girl who gave him his drink didn't answer. He asked again. She looked at him, rolled her eyes, and walked away. So he left and didn't take his drink. When she eventually came over to give us our drinks and take the drink he had left behind, she was talking loudly to one of the other employees about "assholes" and "people don't know what they want." She left our drinks on the counter, looked at me and walked away. Of course, our orders were wrong, too, but having witnessed the display earlier, we didn't want to deal with this staff any more than necessary. We left with expensive drinks that we didn't want or finish. Needless to say, next time I'm in town, I'll get my coffee fix outside the airport -- I recommend you do the same. read more

Reviewing the B10 Starbucks. This is normally very easy to get in and out of. However, being a busier travel day I suspect this was an issue for them to handle. However, when we ordered our drinks this morning they were not any busier than a normal Starbucks... pick a location. It looked like non- Starbucks employees were making drinks so guessing they were understaffed. No one told us the wait time. We ordered two drinks and only one was made which ended up being a combination of both our orders. It took an hour from order to get our drink. They were so inefficient that the mess of mobile orders and people in line continued to grow as the workers walked around as if they couldn't care less. Zero effort and minimal to no customer service. Someone please help this store. read more

I've been traveling for a few years now and regularly stop at this location within MSY on the way to Concourse B. Up until my trip this morning, it had been unorganized, excessively loud with music for the employees, employees playing too much, sloppily dressed, and not very efficient. Today was a 180-degree turn. There was a new lady manager today. I did not get her name, but she was on the ball! The whole crew was professional, pleasant, and efficient. Thank you to whomever made these changes. The food was also good. My usual is a Cafe au lait (Cafe Misto) and egg white bites. It would be nice if the eggs were a little less greasy. I had to wait a long time for my drink while they stood around and talked to one another. There was only one young lady who was working to get hot drinks out and one working the cash register. The others were just walking around like they didn't have a care in the world. There were 6-7 workers behind the counter and 3 customers waiting on drinks. In an airport they need to pick up the pace! We have flights to catch and don't have time to wait on them to talk and then ask how to make the drinks. Train them so they know how to do the job.
