This store is located right across cafe Monde. They sell all the souvenir items & gift baskets of Cafe du Monde. We were there on Tuesday, the store is closed due to covid. There is another store that is open on same side as Cafe du Monde but on the other end, 848 Decature, that's where we picked up our supplies to take home on Wednesday

After having beignets, we happily strolled across the street for the gift shop! Coffee and beignets mix, plus oodles of New Orleans fun fare! A couple of magnets later and him-hawing whether I would actually make beignets at home, we easily checked out! This too is cash only!

They do have a vending machine but there are so many people trying to use it so save time and have some cash on you. There is an option for to-go so you're not dealing with the crowds or dine in. On on first day in New Orleans we explored the night life thoroughly and then stumbled across Cafe Du Monde, it wasn't too late at night but they were still opened which was nice. It was such a hot, humid night so we got their frozen cafe au lait and an order of their beignets. They paired so well together as we walked back to our street car line. I had a cafe au lait every day, it kept me cool and gave me some much needed energy with the heat. I know there's some debate on what cafe has the best beignets because I did find the night time versions do not compare to the fluffiness of those during the day.

They have a special window for take-out which is cash only. If you do have the time, I recommend dining in. It's an experience in itself. The patio was packed with people. Music is bumpin'. Vibes were great. They only serve traditional beignets here. They were good but nothing out of this world. They are bigger in size and come topped with so much powdered sugar. I got their frozen coffee the next day and omg was it so good!! Highly recommend getting that if you go!

I ordered a vanilla matcha. It was one of the best matchas I've had. It wasn't a trendy matcha overloaded sweetener. It was earthy with the perfect dash of vanilla. I also had a blueberry muffin. It's an acquired taste as I'm used to eating pastries overloaded with sweetener. The muffin relied on the natural blueberries for sweetness, which was nice. +Customer service was amazing +Plenty of seating, perfect for work or socializing +Prices are average +Shop was clean and well stocked

If you are looking to avoid Starbucks or French Truck for your coffee fix and want something that is much locally based, Fourth Wall will fit the bill. The cold brew is wicked strong like much stronger than what I order normally at Starbucks. The iced London Fog lattes I discovered are premade, which overall my wife thought was alright, but she liked that they had gluten free blueberry muffins. The chocolate croissant was solid. The service was prompt and friendly. And the decor had a rustic ambiance with the brick walls, dark book shelving and garden patio in the back. The coffee bar has a hidden quality about it that is alluring and appealing. It was good to check out before we concluded our recent stay in NOLA.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

We ordered to go and got rained on. Towards the front there is a seating area that we stayed in to eat our beignets! Service was great.
