If you read…read morethe whole review I'll give you the best tip on how to skip the line (insert shushing emoji) and don't cheat by skipping to the end! Hands down, the best po'boys in all of NOLA. Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go. I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!

The cheese fries are a sad shame. It's just melted cheddar that immediately solidifies on regular fries and gets super greasy. The fried pickles were good. The grilled chicken poor boy wasn't it - it was bland. The gumbo was good but quite watery - not many ingredients. Very little rice. Not pictured - the cole slaw was really bland. The potato salad was the best one. Husband enjoyed the fried shrimp. The roast beef tasted like cat food - terrible texture. The merch is super overpriced ($25 for a dog toy? Out of a vending machine!) The bathrooms were air conditioned and clean.

It's the purrfect option for when you want to sit back, relax and enjoy yourself. Having a fur friend? Bring them along and everyone wins. There's a large space for dogs to run around, and get their pets on. Outside of the dog zone is seating for the bar which is perfectly stocked with alcoholic and none alcoholic options. As someone who is in her mocktail era I really enjoyed that they had none alcoholic spirits. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and truely made you feel like you were part of the gang. In 2025 it's hard to find a "third space" somewhere you can hangout for a while, talk with friends, make new friends, and really just enjoy yourself. That's what makes The Dog House so great, it's bringing back to third space vibes one drink at a time.

Everything was disrespectfully delicious. Every bite had us questioning our life choices in the best way. By the end of the meal, we were all sleepy and completely defeated by how good the food was. The staff was on point, courteous, and polite. Our food came out hot, fast, and perfectly plated with consistency that never misses. My only small complaint is that the sweet potato habanero sauce isn't as thick as it used to be. I'm a little annoyed about that, but it still tastes exactly the same Cochon Butcher remains one of those must visit New Orleans spots that never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a place I'll always adore.

We ordered the black-eyed pea chili and the muffuletta, and the sandwich completely stole the show. The bread was perfectly soft, and you can really taste the difference in quality with their in-house meats. The olive salad tied the whole thing together, complementing the rich, savory flavors perfectly. That being said, the space gets extremely crowded on busy days. It's tight enough that you'll likely have people bumping into your chair or brushing past you while you eat and walk through the dining room. The biggest downside was the service at the counter. The line to the cashiers was very disorganized. Instead of calling the next person in line, one cashier was pulling people up at random, which made the ordering process frustrating. Overall, the food is fantastic, but be prepared for chaotic crowds and a messy ordering system during peak hours.

The Roma is probably my favorite because it is more savory. The positano was a little sweeter than I expected with the fig jam. I love the fig jam. Both sandwiches were great and you can't go wrong Price is pricey Bread is oily Parking is street and somewhat difficult to find, had to walk 2 blocks Only has about 3 small tables to sit outside, otherwise you're out of luck. I took it to go since there was no seating. Overall, I'd definitely come back. I think half a sandwich per person would suffice instead of a whole next time. It still tasted good after being in the fridge for a day.

The prosciutto was heavenly, the sweetness of the fig spread coupled with the spicy Calabrian chilis is out of this world. Sooo good! Mike had the Pisa. Despite the chicken being a perfectly thin cotoletta (yes, I have been taking Italian lessons for the past year ) it was still moist and crispy. The sauce was wonderful and the mozzarella was melted to form the most delightful sandwich. We had planned to get back over there before we left town but failed to. Alas, another reason to come back to NOLA This place is not an eat in establishment but has 3 tables outside for you to enjoy your sandwiches. The young lady who took our order was friendly and pleasant and one of the owners (the mom) chatted with us. Our experience was wonderful. It reminded us of our visits to sandwich shops in Firenze. Panini deliziosi!

Well, this little mom and pop store beside the highway in Mid-city is about as authentic as it comes, but not for poboys, for Cuban food. I can say with confidence that they do the best Cuban sandwich in NOLA. And it costs less than $5. They are super fast. Expect to be in and out in 5 minutes every time. Sin falta. Fastest Cuban granny this side of the Florida straits! They also do a first rate hot lunch: beans and rice, yuca with mojo, roast pork, and flan. Ropa vieja. Anything Cuban, they'll do it. Pre-Katrina it was a full scale operation, but the grandma who forms the foundation for the enterprise now just does food to go at the back of the grocery store. My wife is Cuban, and let me tell you that this place is the real deal...better than the real deal because the family who runs it came over just after the revolution and combines all they know about their country's pre-Castro cuisine with New Orleans knack for kick it up a notch flavor. But loyal to the wonderfulness of their culture, they don't ruin the original, which is even rarer. Instead they improve upon it, but with finesse. Roast pork, ham, swiss, pickle and mustard, perfectly pressed together with a Bustelo coffee and plantain chips? Look no further as you have hit gold, found paradise, located the source of eternal bliss cubano at the Regla store! I am a regular here. These guys are my small business heroes. A hidden treasure in quality and value. Give them some business and feel good about it both for you and for them. In my opinion, they could easily charge more, but do not.
