My go to drink is a pink drink with sweet cream cold foam and both strawberry and dragon fruit inclusions. I Asked for this and about 10 minutes later received this with no strawberries or dragonfruit and the cold foam was sweet milk, I asked about the inclusion and they said they had no more dragon fruit after I had already paid for it. They took about 25 minutes to get out 4 drinks with no other customers in line they were very unorganized and ended up giving us two extra drinks because they messed up the order and made the wrong ones! Decent Starbucks on the corner of San Jose and Old St. Augustine. The store gets really busy; which when I got here at 7AM to "work from home" it was really dead, but by 8AM it was super packed out. The parking lot looks scary from the inside; I guess too many "Florida drivers" in the parking lot. Staff here is friendly and have been great my entire time. Service is good as always, but they destroyed the store with the remodel. Gone is the attractive architecture and the seating area that provided a sense of community. It was always a diverse clientele from people working, educators, European Domino players, families and students. Now it is cramped and unattractive. This is my preferred Starbucks since it's a hop, skip and a jump from me. It's just like any other Starbucks you've been to. Dark but hip and simple decor on the inside. If they are jumping, it may take a bit for your order, but hey, at least Starbucks is about quality, not quantity. You pay more for better quality, right? Sometimes it's best to use the app and submit a mobile order so that you skip the line. The baristas are very friendly and professional, never had any problems. And it's sad though that I frequent them so often, they know it's me with the mobile order at the drive thru, LOL (which also happens at their competitor... you'll find that review). I have a coffee addiction, OKAY?!?!? I'm not ashamed of that! Downside is parking lot is small, and the drive thru is tight and a bit awkward. The drive thru for this location is always busy. Even with the 2 entrance/exit the line creates traffic jam on the the main roads. This location is one of the slower service. This Starbucks is on point nine times out of ten. The staff is always very friendly and even though it's in a congested area they don't allow the drive-thru to get too backed up. My only complaint is that this location -unlike many others in the area- seldom has a dark roast coffee. I have been morning, mid-afternoon and night multiple days of the week and I guess they just don't offer it. They just suggest an americano or something like an espresso blend every time... Not what I want! The Pike's Place does the job when I need caffeine but I am a dark roast lover and would just really like to see them offer it more often at this location. read more

I like Starbucks and don't usually have bad experiences but this store is pretty much the exception. I also rarely give two stars but I feel like I need to here. The baristas all act as if you are inconveniencing them by being there. When I order a frap they usually make one for themselves too. So if I order customizations about half the time I don't get it, I'm assuming because they didn't want it the same way. They have forgotten my mobile order on more than one occasion and are rude when I ask. If I say I am there to pick up an order which is what the sign tells me to say, they just say "yup." Please pass the "COFFEE"! I love coffee and coffee loves me. I have always enjoyed going to all Starbucks. They are kind, patient and helpful. I am usually a creature of habit, but sometimes I like to change things up and try something new to me or different. I love how I can preload my card for Starbucks purchases. It makes it easier on me. But, my favorite coffee is coffee latte grande(large)with sugar free vanilla sweetener. I have always had pretty good customer service here. See you guys soon! read more

I usually overlook the terrible parking lot situation that they seem to completely ignore. But today they decided that they were going to close their lobby and not update the app for mobile orders. When I got there a lady was walking away with her drinks, I knocked on the door because I didn't have time to go through the driveway and the app won't let you cancel your orders. They completely ignored me knocking and turned their phone off so no one could call in. So that I wasn't out money I went through the drive through line and they couldn't give a reason the lobby was closed and as for the app "only their manager can do that." As Starbucks go... this is pretty middle of the road. They have made my drinks correctly about 75% of the time, but they struggle with the concept of good foam. To be fair.... the ability to make good foam is a difficult skill to attain. The baristas are friendly, and will bend over backwards to try and make your drink right... but if they mess it up twice, you start to feel like a dick making them do it again... so you just smile and say thank you. read more

Sorry do not go to Starbucks ever. Went a few times early on. Found it really expensive and there cup of coffee was far from my taste. To me was bitter and not smooth at all. There snacks were overly expensive, and may be not be the freshest in town. I guess I will just have to admit I am a Duncan Doughnut person fresh smooth American coffee and fantastic doughnut display and fresh made sandwiches for breakfast, and if you like a scoop or two of Baskin & Robins ice cream. This is by far my favorite Starbucks in Jacksonville. I have been coming here since middle school at the least, and have never had an unpleasant experience. This morning definitely reminded me of that. Friendly service, staff that remembers their regulars, and quick service all make this location great. I won't lie, the location itself is a bit of a drawback. The awkward corner position of this store makes visiting difficult during peak hours. My advice: don't visit peak hours, or if you must, park next door and walk over. My favorite thing to do is drop my car off at Bubbles for a wash, and pop in to have a coffee. I stop here almost every morning, and always get fast friendly service through the drive thru and inside. The baristas here are so nice and make really good drinks, unlike some locations. The drive thru can prove to be a little tricky since they have an entrance in the front on San Jose and in the back on Old St. Augustine. This can cause some back up and confusion but if you get there after all the rush hour madness you shouldn't have an issue. I also visit here a lot to study and I love the inside. There's lot of seating as well. My only complaint about the inside is wowza it's COLD! So if you plan on sticking around for a while, bring a jacket! read more

I love me some Starbucks, and this one is no exception. They are always pleasant, even at 5:00 am. I swear they're mainlining caffeine all day. I mean, who is that happy at 5:00 am?! The baristas here are exceptional. I go to a few locations around town and beyond, and I think this one has perfected the art of perfectly brewed coffee and espresso, knows how to steam and froth the milk just right and you never end up with chunks of green tea powder in the bottom of your latte (3 other locations recently). They get it right. My only irritation with this particular location is it's on an awkward intersection, and has the worst drive thru set up. I'll often pass it and head to the next one because the drive thru is such a nightmare. Some idiot will be blocking parked cars from exiting, and the line gets wrapped around the building sometimes to the point the cars at the window can't get out. Um, hello?! And forget it if your making the left turn in from St. Augustine Road. You'll sit there for 10-15 minutes, patently waiting for the line to move up, until some jack ass comes from one of the other directions and jumps in the line. Perfect location! Between my jobs, i love this place. The staff is always extremely friendly, they definitely give Chick-fil-A a run for their money. This seems like a gathering spot for many people. I'm a new regularly at this Starbucks place now since I moved San Jose from Orange Park. I only went there like twice a day everyday. One of Starbucks co worker already knew my order and it's so amazing how they know my order and it saved our time! Thank you Angela for make everything easier for us! Years ago this spot was reinvented with a beautiful raised ceiling. Now it seems to just magnify the things beneath. This place is the closest one to home, but I avoid it to head to another Starbucks that can offer me a place that has been swept and won't have a fly sitting on my food. I attribute that to its well-placed fit in a coffee-drinking community. One I can hear clearly from the other side of the room thanks to the new recessed ceiling. At least there are power outlets in most of the spaces and the people friendly for the most part, right down to the guy who bids me "God bless," when I drive out of the drive-thru. read more
