This is a CUTE Boba cafe with wi-fi for those of us who "work-from-home". They have cafe-style conversation seating. I've seen people host meetings here before. It's my go-to Boba place. The team is always HOSPITABLE and PATIENT. I'm always in the mood to try one of the treats from there cafe case of baked goods with my very American palate. My spouse and I went to Aroma Corner at least once a week back in the early 2010's before we moved away from the Jax area, and we came back recently to visit. This gem is still in great shape with wonderful service, delightfully scrumptious desserts, butter toast, and other treats. There is bar seating, tables with chairs, benches, and everything still looks modern and upbeat. Bathroom is in good working order & clean too! It's been over a decade since I last visited this Aroma Corner location. Love the new renovations and decor choices. Came here with my brother and the staff was nice. We ordered the following -- Traditional Milk Tea Oolong Green w/Jelly, Strawberry Smoothie w/Strawberry Pop, Potato Salad Sandwich, Coffee Cheesecake and Boston Cake. The Oolong Green had the right amount of taste and sweetness. The smoothie was good as well. The Potato Salad sandwich was a 3-bread layer sandwich, very good. Both the cheesecake and Boston cake were amazing. The cheesecake had a nice coffee blend taste and crumbling crust. The Boston cake had a nice soft, fluffy texture filled with strawberries and cream. I don't have any pictures on hand but this boba shop is one of the best. I have been coming here for years and being my grandma and cousin and they also love it. All the workers are super nice and the owner, at least I assume she is the owner, is nice and will often come up and ask us how we're doing. They have a wide variety of teas and drinks and even during a rush get then made fast. Their desserts are always so cute and good, not too sweet. The inside is nice with quite a bit of seating and i'm so glad they've stayed open through everything. My favorite drink to get is often the passion fruit smoothie for something fruity or the strawberry green tea smoothie that's a nice balance of tea flavor and sweetness. read more

I am so glad I came here with my husband Saturday night. This is a cute establishment tucked in a corner between Maytag Laundry and a small cleaners business on Baymeadows. First time for us here. I have read many reviews and saw numerous yelp photos of desserts and smoothies since joining yelp but have put it off. I saw the taro mousse many times. This is what I picked out thinking we are just going to get it "to go" but my husband wanted to dine in and try a few desserts and have smoothies. We ordered the Black Forest cake to start with. It wasn't my favorite but I do love chocolate though. Next was the green tea mousse, I love green tea but also wasn't for me. The favorite of all was the taro mousse. Oh yes! It was "meant to be"--lol. This is what I had my heart set on (as mentioned above) before we left the house! It's been said to always go with your first choice, so I did. There were 3 taro mousse slices left in the case when we got here. We had one to share inside and one to take home (I liked it that much!). It reminds me of purple yam so I asked the young lady behind the counter is it really ube. She stated it's related. Loved it. The layers were just right and light, not at all heavy and dense as some cakes are. On the way out, my husband ordered the taro milk tea with boba pearls. This was really delicious! I liked it so much that we came back the following night before closing and ordered the taro smoothie with boba pearls. Definitely recommend both the milk tea and smoothie! I wish I came here long ago especially on those hot and humid days for a smoothie. Nice to know this isn't too far from home, 15 minutes. Surely will be back next to try the frozen explosion. I stopped in and was pleased to see the employee wearing gloves, a mask, and they had a partition up by the cash register. I ordered teas, sandwiches, and desserts for the family to go. I've been coming here for more than 10 years and have always found the store to be clean and tidy. That is very comforting given the current health concerns. My order was done quickly and I was on my way. We had a Thai tea milk tea with boba (my absolute favorite), a passion fruit tea and strawberry tea, both with popping boba. We had the dried pork sandwiches and tuna sandwich for lunch. The dried pork sandwich is so good. We actually ended up buying some dried pork floss at an Asian market to use at home. Finally got to try this place & lately, I've been craving for a regular black milk tea so that's what I ordered. Also got the husband a taro milk tea. I was the only customer there so my order came out quick. They also offer stamp cards here so that's a plus. The milk tea was okay, not the best I've had but not the worst. The taro milk tea was pretty good, no complaints. The actual boba/pearl was on the smaller size and they don't give you much so halfway through my drink, I was bobaless. Sad. I hit both Aroma locations during that time as they received 60% of my business during my boba obsession spike. I wanted to try other places for comparison but always found myself coming back to Aroma. Simply stated, their boba pearls are perfection. Their breakfast items are great and enough to fill you up eventhough portions are smaller than the typical ones. They also cater for birthday cakes and the prices are pretty reasonable. I tried the Milk Flavored Tea with Boba and was able to mix & match flavors so I decided to go for something new with Honey & Rose - best boba decision I've ever made. It was all gone by the time I got home.. Not to mention, I was able to request soy milk as a dairy alternative! My sister tried the Taro & Coconut smoothie with boba & she loved it too. Never have we ever had boba so fresh & perfect! I also tried the taro mousse on display and it was so fresh & simply decadent. Donovan had been so busy answering all our questions & making our drinks that initially, he forgot to give me the mousse cake and so he immediately allowed me to choose one of their $1 cookie packs for free to make up for it. I had the green tea cookies and if you like green tea, that's something else you'll definitely have to try. There's sesame seeds baked in that definitely add to yummy flavor.
