This place serves Taiwanese desserts along with boba teas, smoothies and Thai tea. My daughters had the ordered A mango and a cookies and cream boba smoothie. It's a great place to go when you want to satisfy a dessert craving without breaking the bank. The mousses were light and perfectly sweet. We ordered 3 desserts- taro mousse, cream cheese mousse, and tiramisu. The mousses were less than $3 and the tiramisu was just under $5. My favorite was the tiramisu. It was perfectly creamy. The taro mousse had a layer of cake in the middle. Not crazy about cake, but was still good. The cream cheese mousse was homemade and was delicious and would satisfy a cheese cake craving. I have been coming here for Breakfast, lunch & unique and delicious desserts, some of the best in town. I crave their food and am so glad they were close to my high school and now the place I work now that I'm out of college. Truly delicious food you can't get anywhere else in town. I recommend trying the dried shredded pork puff toasts, sandwiches and breakfast wraps. It might not be the first thing you'd pick but they're all awesome! I also love the mousses they make. Looking to end tonight on a sweet note, my buddy and I searched our area for dessert spots, and we settled on a driving to the Aroma Corner! Going in, there was a nice showcase of different deserts (cheesecake, cookies, mini pies, etc.) and seating available inside. For my order, I got the cream cheese mousse and thai milk boba tea! My buddy on the other hand, got the frozen explosion and half cheese Danish. Moving on with my review, we found the deserts were pretty tasty and price wise highly reasonable! For starters, my boba tea I gotta say was perfectly sweet and had a nice spice vibe to it. Boba balls tasted very tender as if they slightly popped in the mouth. My friend said his frozen explosion desert was good, but wasn't exactly like halo halo, and super sweet as my Thai boba tea. The cream cheese mousse was delectable as it tasted like NY cheesecake and was only $3 a slice. The cheese Danish for $6, was decently sized, but flavor wise just reminded me of a less creamy Japanese cheese cake. I frequent this Aroma corner a lot due to it being 4 minutes from my job. Always quick service and the flavor of the teas are amazing. I usually toggle between the taro milk tea with extra boba or the caramel milk tea with boba. I've also had a few of their desserts and loved them as well. The fact that they have a rewards program makes it that much better because if I come here 10 days in a row (which i have done) my 11th day is free! Lol. read more

What a cute little hidden gem!! I be only been twice but each time I've enjoyed what I ordered. They have milk teas (new to me), smoothies, desserts and stuff. I didn't even know that it's possible for me to find a Milk Tea place here in Jax. I was so excited when my colleagues showed me a boba Milk Tea and asked me what boba means. My heart almost jumped out of my rib cage, knowing that I'm gonna be able to enjoy a large glass of milk tea again. In terms of taste, it's very close to what was sold in Hong Kong versus the ones they are selling in the Philippines. And although my brain keeps converting $ to Php, and tells me it's too expensive, I couldn't care less since it's the very first time since I tried Milk Tea again. I ordered a regular Honey Oolong Milk Tea just to try whether I'd like it or not and so far, it passed my humble tastebuds. It cost less than $3.50 without the boba (tapioca). I'd definitively come back maybe twice or thrice a month, but I'd definitely save up on my other expenses to have extra cash for their milk tea. That's how much I'm willing to comeback. I have a few favorites from Aroma from 3 separate categories: savory, sweet and drinks. Savory food: My favorites from Aroma is the breakfast wraps and the shredded pork and egg sandwich (its part of the secret menu, ask for it!). The breakfast wrap's always just the right doneness with the perfect thin pancake and the right amount of ingredients- it never lasted long once it arrived at the table. Then the shredded pork and egg sandwich, I must have ordered this more than 6 times in the duration of less than 3 weeks and every single time, the egg is fried just perfectly with the yoke not over done & along with Michelle's mayo that she whips up the old fashioned way- this sandwich is just perfect. Sweet: My two favorites are taro cake and chocolate hazelnut. Although I'm sure once summer hits, the shaved ice would climb right to the top of the list with their lovely asian ingredients like red beans. Drinks: Taro taro taro. It was refreshing, knowing how difficult it is for small businesses to continue to invest in themselves. Due to the new location opening, I see more new faces at both locations. I've been meaning to try Aroma Corner for some time now. This time around, I went for their cappuccino and a coconut creme cake. My mom ordered the Ube/Taro Boba and a slice of cream cheese mousse. We shared our goodies with each other and the beverages were pretty good. The desserts were OK. The desserts we chose were mostly flavored whipped cream and very little of anything else. Although unique to most desserts offered in Jax, not mind-blowing. Some of the tea cookies were $1 each which is a little steep for a small biscuit. Currently, they do offer the Mont Blanc (Italian dessert) and I probably should have ordered that as it's not something that I would naturally whip up at home. Maybe next time.... The service was unremarkable. The cluster of menu items on the wall can be somewhat overwhelming so as a first timer, the staff could be a little bit more forthcoming when explaining the options and prices. Really confusing. Overall, this place is promising. I may have to try some other things on the menu and possibly get a better feel. They do offer a loyalty card if you frequent this place a lot. My daughter and I used to sneak off and get our boba tea fix on Sunday's when the rest of the family was napping. Since we moved out of the area, we rarely go back. However, I had to take her to early church and started searching Yelp to find a spot to eat breakfast. Low and behold Aroma Corner was the highest rated breakfast spot on the list. After reading some of the reviews and tips I decided on a pork/lettuce/egg salad sandwich that really worked. I was thrown off by it being pre-made and wrapped like a Dandee sandwich from my youth, but the flavored were amazing. Ordering the Explosion brought some quizzical looks from my server, but Yelpers said it was not to be missed no matter what time of day, so I was in. I was not disappointed, the mixture of fruit, ice, ice cream and boba was really delicious and while I did not eat the entire thing, but I did get down through all the layers. There are a few issues that kind of present themselves for Aroma Corner. First the neighborhood, when I drove up there were two guys sitting in cafeteria chairs in the middle of the parking lot. Not sure why, although I think they were at the nearby laundry but it was odd. Finally service is not swift, because each dish is made individually, and sometimes language is a challenge, but overall it is a great experience and the flavors are fabulous. read more

This is more of a 3.5 review just bc I love the Frozen Explosion!!! That's the only reason I go there. It hads several ingredients that is a perfect combination, not too sweet. They have a selection of other bakery items but it doesn't look appealing to me. I've tried the tea cookies before and the flavor I selected must have been a bad one bc I didn't like it at all, plus the $1 price is pretty steep for the amnt and size of cookies. I've never tried the boba drinks but inquired if they used fresh fruits or not and was told that they used powder for a few of them. It's surprising how few boba places there are in Jacksonville. The best places are further towards the beach and town center area, but if you were as desperate as we were Aroma Corner will do. The store is tucked in a little strip mall behind a gas station with adequate parking. The outside is a little dated but once you're inside it opens up into your normal boba spot with plenty of seating and a display case of some of the small treats available. The menu has a ton of your traditional options like milk teas, slushes, smoothies, etc. I decided to test out the regular milk tea, a hallmark of any boba shop and something that they ought to get right. I was really surprised that there was a $5 minimum for cards, which is actually pretty annoying since almost all the drinks come in at around $4, so I had to buy an additional small s'mores cookie that I didn't want. We did have to wait a bit longer to get our drinks than other stores that I've been to. The milk tea itself was pretty good and the right sweetness but the actual pearls were way too soft -- like they had been boiled for an extra 5 minutes or something. The extra cookie was alright, but I would have rather done without. All in all, this place is a-ok if you're in a pinch for a boba craving. read more

This place is amazing and thanks to my recent discovery of Boba Tea at Pho Today, I'm all about the bubbles. I cannot stress just how huuuuuge the drink menu is and it allows for a spectacular amount of personal preference tweaking. They offer a staggering range of hot, cold and frozen drinks: Thai teas, tea, milk tea, tea lattes, Asian smoothies, iced coffee, traditional hot teas, hot coffee, caffeine-free drinks and fruit juices and shaved ice. You pick your drink type (hot/cold/frozen), pick your size, pick a beverage type and select any add-ons you want to make. They also carry a fantastic assortment of desserts, mousses, cookies, wraps, noodle salads and so on. I've heard their macarons are legendary, but they were all out when I visited. I went for a Pina Colada Asian Smoothie with pineapple jelly added and had one of their pineapple square cakes. I cannot stress what a magical fairy cave this place is. What a great place!! The super friendly couple that own this spot explained that their Boba Tea was not created from a powder, but was made from imported teas!! The Strawberry Boba Smoothie was terrific here. YUM!!! And I found myself completely entranced by the dessert case after I sat down to enjoy some down time before work. I must have been staring, (or drooling) noticeably, because one of the owners came out with a sample of the Asian Lemon Cake for me to try.... Ummm, let me just say, Wow!...Wow!...Wow! I went back to Aroma Corner to finally try another drink besides the typical boba smoothies I normally get. I kept seeing reviewers talk about the Taro Milk Tea. I decided to finally go for it and the minute I took a sip, I completely understood what the hype was all about. Every sip I took, I kept saying "what does this taste like?? I don't know what it is, but it's so damn good." Before I knew it, I was completely done with my 16 oz drink. The milk tea is creamy and refreshing. I opted for no boba this time as I really wanted to pay attention to the Taro flavor. It's almost nutty tasting and chocked full of awesomeness. That's the only description I can give. Want to amaze your friends with the best cream puffs they have ever had? Then come here. Many cream puffs have an off flavor reminiscent of the interior of a refrigerator. These do not! No! These are flaky, delightful cream puffs that make everyone ask... "Where did you get these??" Delicious little tea cookies. I have also had their breakfast, which I prefer without cheese. very tasty. But nothing like what I have ever had. The cold noodle salad with chicken is tasty. It could use some cilantro though. It comes with three little containers of sauce & seasoning that apparently can not be combined until the moment of consumption. These sustained me through many all day study sessions. I'll start my review of the Yelp hit Aroma Corner by admitting that I didn't try the boba teas or the breakfast, which are the most popular items with other reviewers. I stopped in yesterday to the Baymeadows location just past Phillips Highway if you're coming from I-95. The decor was inviting and very clean, with fun touches like christmas lights and laughing Buddha statues. After a few minutes of deliberation I decided on the Great Chicken Wrap. When it came out a few minutes later I was immediately pleased by the look of it. Resembling a giant spring roll, and topped with an eel-like sauce, the wrap looked like a Great sandwich, indeed. The flavors, texture and warmth were just like a yummy egg roll, too! I scarfed it down, taking the last two bites to go for later. I left satisfied but not blown away. The chicken was a little tasteless and undercooked, but overall I still really liked the meal. It's very convenient for me to pop over to this location on my lunch break so I'll be back to try more menu items in the future! read more

I first happened upon Aroma Corner about eight years ago, as my eyebrow threading place is in the same strip mall. After my most recent threading, I thought I would visit and see if I could get their delicious vegetable wrap. Much to my chagrin, they no longer have this. However, they had a ham and cheese wrap that was noted as being "just as good" by a worker there. I was not disappointed. The ham and cheese wrap was surrounded by a light egg-like covering, and drizzled with a sweet soy sauce over top. The ham and cheese melted in my mouth, leaving me wanting more as I write this. Due to caloric restrictions, I could not have milk boba tea. Instead, I had a touch of honey with my boba. Again, I was not disappointed. I was in the vicinity of Aroma Corner and was feeling a bit adventurous. Good enough reason to try it out along with the yelp reviews. I ordered a piña colada smoothie with the boba. I just asked the girl at the rigid tee to give me whatever is her favorite (since I had no clue what was what) she suggested the breakfast wrap with egg, cheese and dried pork. I can't say I liked it but I respected the food. It wasnt bad food it is just not my thing. The wrap had a mix off sweet and savory that I didn't like too much. I also ordered a little cake thingy (see pics) it was really good albeit small. Nice and fluffy with cream inside. The smoothie was good but I now know that I do t like those little boba that much. After a while I just got tired of sucking them up in my straw. The ambience of Aroma Corner is bright and clean and relaxed so that's a plus. Service was also pretty good.
