Day old breads available at a special rate
    Tiffany B.

I stopped in to grab a sandwich to-go. The space is cozy with a couple of tables inside for dining in and a couple outside. You can order at the register or they have a tablet ordering system that's credit card only. I ordered at the register and got their turkey pesto melt on sourdough bread. It comes hot and with cheese. The sandwich was amazing! There was so much flavor packed into it - the pesto was amazing. It was also a great size. I can wait to go back and try some of their other items. They seem to also sell an array of beverages, tons of bread of course, and they have a section of day old bread at a discounted rate. Definitely a must try!

I have found a new breakfast and lunch stop near work along with a fabulous bakery in Jax Bread. There is seating inside and outside. Quaint little space inside. Great bagels. Probably the best I've had in the area. Very solid coffee as well. My sandwich was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable as well. They made great recommendations for us. Service was great. This is a place I'll be frequenting and suggesting to anyone in the area. Can't wait to go back.

Cozy little bakery with amazing options. The cinnamon stuffed bagel was out of this world good. Nice coffee options which were tasty. I need come back and try the stuffed pizza bagel and the sourdough pizza. You made a new fan today

We found this gem on a recent trip and so glad we did. It's tucked in a little strip mall and they were so friendly and cheerful. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and my lady had a bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Both were fantastic. My lady said it was flat out her favorite of all time! Will definitely be back!

Stopped in after an oil change because it was nearby. This is in a small strip so there's enough parking. They have a kiosk for ordering or you can order with a real person at the counter. Very friendly service. I opted for a toasted onion bagel with jalapeno cheddar schmear. It was a great combo! The bagel was delightfully chewy and had great flavor. Would definitely return.

Jax Bread Co. makes a seriously good bagel! I had the egg and cheese on a salt bagel, and it was phenomenal--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The only reason for 4 stars is the service; it took nearly 30 minutes to get my order, and the staff seemed a little meh and not super attentive. That said, the food itself definitely made up for it, and I'd still come back for those bagels!

Fantastic service with options for kiosk or online ordering. This small shop has tables inside and outside for dining. Since it was our first time here, we opted to order at the counter. Loved both my mocha latte and veggie pesto sandwich. The toasted sourdough bread was delicious. My husband enjoyed his build your own breakfast sandwich as well. Looking forward to returning to try the many bread and bagel options.

First time stopping into Jax Bread Co on Baymeadows, and I'm so glad I did! I ordered a few things to try: * Raspberry Iced Tea ($4.99) - 9/10 Super refreshing! A little on the sweeter side but not too much. Would absolutely order again. * Pepperoni Stuffed Bagel ($6.99) - 9/10 Loved this one! Perfect flavor combo -- just wish it had a little more filling to push it to a 10/10. * Pumpkin Stuffed Bagel ($6.99) - 7.5/10 The crumble on top was deliciously sweet (and very messy ), while the pumpkin filling itself wasn't overly sweet -- nice balance overall. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the staff was friendly. Overall: Would definitely order from here again! I ordered as take out, but the little space inside was nice and bright.

This was the best bagel I've had in Jax! Very affordable too, $5 for a toasted jalapeno cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese. The service was fast and they were very sweet. They had great deals on day old bagels, 3 for 2.99 and even day old bread that the lady said would be good for 2 more days out and as long as you'd like in the freezer. I will definitely be going back! It was a cute little shop, I can't wait to try their other breads

One of my favorite spots for a delicious breakfast sandwich is Jax Bread Co. The sandwich featured below is the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an Asiago Bagel. You can customize it by adding other proteins, cheeses, and veggies. Additionally, you have the option to have the sandwich on other in-house baked breads. I've had this sandwich a few times and it's always on point. What I love about it is the eggs. So fluffy and perfectly cooked!! You must also try the Brie Stuffed French Toast.

Wow! What a delicious homemade bagel! You could just taste how fresh it was! I loved the crunch on the outside and the warm soft inside! Perfect little snack! I defined want to go back and try more! Staff were very friendly and super fast! Restaurant is small but quaint and cute!

Yum and great service. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We had the stuffed pepperoni bagel and breakfast sandwich. All delicious and filling.

The food at Jax Bread is definitely a go for me and they have some of the freshest breads. Their sweet African bread is my favorite on the turkey pesto melt. Quality service and love the made from scratch baked goods!

The best things in life require some effort to build your appetite, and whereas I did not collect a golden idol like Dr. Jones, I was rewarded instead with a cheerful new friend and one of the absolute FRESHEST sandwiches in JAX! Nestled between the sparse woods and surrounding offices you will find happy, loyal diners who fill Hollywood Heroes and Subs each lunchtime to the point where the line stretches out the door. I had just seen the last of the lunch crowd smiling and saying goodbye for the day to our energetic and upbeat host, Founder, sandwich artist and Jacksonville native Kevin Porter, an actor turned restaurateur -- known for roles including "Lazer" in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, plus appearances in Daredevil and General Hospital. Something that cannot be "acted" around was his genuine welcome and desire to roll out the red Hollywood carpet for all who make the journey (yes, it's a REAL red carpet)!! This sweet shop is the perfect size, and has a significant amount of Hollywood memorabilia all around to keep you engaged while chatting with Kevin as he works his magic. And what he produced was a treasure of cheese and meats that made me forget about whatever might have been chasing me through those woods to get there! J/K In between wonderful conversation with Kevin, each bite of my MASSIVE "The Towering Inferno" hot hero (pepperoni, Genoa salami, cappy and melted provolone) on fresh baked Village Bread made me realize just how huge and delicious this thing was. Kevin promised that the one pictured is exactly what every customer will get...he prides himself on highly generous portions at fair prices...and man, did he deliver!! I would have been completely satisfied with HALF, but NO!!!! There sat its twin, begging for sacrifice to the stomach Gods. I was only too happy to oblige! The owner Kevin = engaging, friendly, talented with his craft, makes you feel like you drove through the woods to come home to your happy place. The ambiance = bright, colorful, great memorabilia, puts you as the star of the show. The sandwiches = creative in name and product with fresh being the operative word, this sandwich hit above its price point and I can't wait to try to the rest of the menu! So no, I didn't get chased by a boulder, or leave with Dr. Jones' golden idol, but I did get a Golden Belly from my experience, and the knowledge of why hundreds of hungry lunch- goers seek this "Temple of Delish" every day!! Crack the whip and corral your family into the car for this absolute treat in the core of "ancient Jacksonville!!"

We started with Hummus and Tata Chips, which was crispy pita chips with a standard (but delicious) hummus. The Tata chips had great flavor, like Stacy's Pita Chips but better! The firat course was White Bean Fahsulia, which was a rich and hearty bean stew that packed huge flavor! Second course was Falafel with Tahini Sauce. These were a nice little bite between dishes. The center of the falafel was light, fluffy, and flavorful! Course 3 was Masaka-Ah served with Timan Asfur Rice. While this dish was good, it was my least favorite of the evening. I ate half of the stew and passed the rest off to my husband, who loved it! Course 4 brought us Dolma's served with Roasted Vegetables. I LOVE stuffed grape leaves and these were seriously on point! Tart and tangy up front followed by a whole lot of savory. Course 5, my favorite, was the Spicy Curry Chicken served with White Rice. This was the dish that made me fall in love with Fast Eddy's food and had me coming back for more. I took a couple bites and got a to-go container to enjoy this later at home. Finally, we reached the end of our dinner and Course 6, dessert, came out. Freshly made, sweet and decadent, traditional baklava. Filo dough, crushed walnuts, butter, and honey. This just melted away once it hit my mouth. I don't eat a whole lot of sweets but this had me closing my eyes and enjoying every bite. Every time I've visited Fast Eddy's the staff has been amazing, friendly, and hospitable. And of course, the place being completely decked out with rock and metal music memorabilia, i feel right at home here. Oh, and there's never a time where I leave that place without an order of the Pasta Anatoli to-go!

We arrived early and found that very quickly there was a line that was extending out the door. That was for good reason. This place is excellent. Great staff, impeccable food, fantastic service. Inside is clean, neat with hearty tables. The front features their baked goods as well. All fresh, all look delicious. I tried the Tiramisu for dessert. No pictures. It was that good that it made me forget. We dined in, and to do so, you order at the front, are seated and are served shortly after. When you order, keep in mind that they bring bread to the table. Two types of bread with a delicious mix of oil and balsamic that is ideal for dipping. Shortly after we received our food. We split the sandwiches between us and one order of truffle fries. The muffuletta was so meaty and flavorful. The bread fresh and the perfect accompaniment. The eggplant likewise was so delicious. I was expecting more of historical panini type bread but this bread was perfect and grilled. The truffle fries...crispy, bursting with flavor. Really generous portions here of next level sandwiches. If you're in the mood for a great sandwich or a huge salad, this is THE place for you. I highly encourage you to check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Both sandwiches were great but just extremely heavy - I definitely was in need of a serious nap after lunch. Had a side of truffle fries, but couldn't get through more than a few. The servers essentially drop the food off and that's it, so it's interesting as usual that they ask for a tip like we are at a restaurant with a real waiter/waitress. Overall, not a bad place, didn't get a chance to try the pastries/cakes which looked decadent. But for the price of the sandwiches and service, I'd say the value is pretty low.
