Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken
Kia R.

So happy to have some good boba in the area. I got the mango coconut tea. It's giving HeyTea a run for their money. It was perfectly coconutty and mango. The popcorn chicken was also sooo crispy and juicy. Love this shop.

It was 100 degrees outside with 1,000% humidity and I needed a drink. This shop sells various teas, milk tea, fruit tea, slush and offers the typical boba shop toppings. It also has an extensive snack menu. I ordered the coconut cream slush with mango and crystal boba and I ordered it with 0% sugar. Topping were not as plentiful as the picture inside on the order kiosk and if I knew otherwise I would added some sago topping to the drink also. It was still slightly sweet but not overwhelming. My drink absolutely did the job of hydrating me. Casual. Order via kiosk but staff was very nice to answer questions. Please come and create your own adventure.

The image shows the interior of a cafe with a white and pastel pink color scheme. The ceiling is decorated with cloud-shaped panels, and there are recessed lights. The front counter has digital menu screens and a marble backdrop. Seating includes marble-topped tables with metal and gold bases, and chairs with metal frames. The floor is tiled with white marble-like tiles. The overall decor is modern and playful, with a focus on bright, soft aesthetics.

I had been eyeballing this place very closely as it was being built and finally had a moment to stop in and I am so glad I did. Based on some reviews I read I knew I wanted to try the popcorn chicken and a doughnut. The doughnuts and chicken were so good but the purple potato boba tea was fine, not the best I've ever had. I think it was probably on me because I may have ordered wrong. The way to order here is to go up to a computer select what you want how you want it and then check out. The inside of the restaurant was super cute, very photogenic, and had lots of Things to look at while I waited.

Shrimp shumai

I knew I was going to be in the area today so I place an order through Yelp (GrubHub) for pick up. I know this is a bit more expensive I thought it would save me time. I never been to this location so I didn't know when you come in everyone orders from a kiosk! I arrived to the location before my schedule pick up so I just waited. The restaurant is getting quite a bit of foot traffic however not many stayed to dine in so it was very quiet. The decor is very cute like designed for the insta shots I ordered shrimp shumai, pork dumplings, and a passion fruit and lime green tea light ice and 50% sweetness. My tea was the highlight of my meal!!! So delicious. The shrimp shumai were okay, they didn't really taste like anything. The dumplings were good and I am loving the chili dipping sauce. I will definitely be back my daughter wanted to come here for a while now.

We stopped in on their opening weekend. This is our first time time trying Tsaocaa and we really enjoyed our drinks. We got a traditional brown sugar milk tea and an Oreo milk tea with milk foam(cheese foam). We ordered a peach bubble waffle, and it was gifted a strawberry doughnut. Both words, flavorful and fresh. The donut was super light, but still very sweet. It will definitely be a staple on our list each time we go we were both surprised by the flavor of the bubble waffle, it packed a lot, but didn't taste super artificial. These prices were in line with other shops in the area and for the quality and quantity. All the food was good. My favorite part was the atmosphere. Therefore a couple of family members who were celebrating the open weekend so they were all excited and made for a Super lively feel. The cute decorations make you feel happy and jovial.

Grand Opening today and there was a BOGO promo for the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. It was alright and opted for no Boba and got Nata Jelly. Ordered the Korean Honey Garlic 10 pcs. It was flavorful and had the right crisp. However, the 6 piece Fried Shrimp Shumai was very tiny and barely had any taste. Had to dunk in the sauce for flavor. It was the 1st day at this Tsaaoca, will have to try other items on the menu.

Full disclosure: been stalking this location for signs of a soft open and today we lucked out! The staff is so friendly and everything we had was just as good at the other locations we've visited. Key loves: Jasmine milk tea w boba Melon and watermelon green tea (my son loves lychee popping boba in it) Ube mochi donut Pink velvet waffle I recommend going light on the sweetener in the drinks as even the regular boba are quite sweet to me.

Korean dogs are amazing! Lots of unique, Boba teas! Place is clean and bright, brings good mood. Service was quick!

On a white table inside a cafe, there are two bubble tea drinks with tapioca pearls, one with a black straw and the other with a clear straw, along with a waffle cone filled with round snacks. A bunch of green grapes is also on the table, and the scene is illuminated by natural light coming through large windows, with parked cars visible outside.

I have visited this cute little boba shop twice when in the St. Johns area, and have had good experiences both times. I like that you can order on the screens, although when they are busy, the wait can be long. I scrolled through and placed my order and easily paid with my credit card right on the screen. It took maybe 10 minutes to make my drink, and it was delicious. The prices of these teas keep going up, but it's everywhere. The product is consistent and I will go back even though I know it's going to be a $7 drink. We've also tried the chocolate bubble waffle, which is a delicious, crunchy treat. The bathroom was clean and the workers were friendly. The shop itself is absolutely adorable and all themed. They have good wifi too. I had a meeting and then a virtual meeting and was able to easily connect. They have a large parking lot since this is in a "new to me" plaza. My favorite order is the ruby milk black tea with coconut milk and boba, 30% sweet. It is soooo delicious and really is a treat. I've also tried the frozen coconut slushie with boba, and that is great on a hot day too.

Mango Pomelo Sago
Charis W.

Consistent quality and service, great variety of drink, options, cute, ambience, convenient location. So happy to have a Tsaocaa location in St. John's other than the Beach Boulevard location. Ordered the fresh taro milk tea and mango pomelo sago drink. The milk tea was OK, I would recommend going 70% sweet (rather than 50%, sweet). The mango pomelo sago drink was super good, very creamy and filling.

This place is amazing!! We came for a special birthday treat for my daughter and we all were super happy with our choices! We can't wait to go back to try more flavors. This is the absolute cutest place- very clean and well decorated. Even the bathrooms are nice! Our drinks were made to perfection and the staff were super sweet answering our questions. We can't wait to go back!

Spicy Popcorn Chicken

We have had our eyes our Tsaocaa once we saw it was getting built. Once we saw they did Korean Fried Chicken we really started counting down the days. Ashley made it there before me since I was out of town but this time it was my turn. I will say we were not that hungry but we were craving Tsaocaa for my first time. We called in our order and went with the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken and the Spicy Popcorn Chicken. They told us it would be really in 10 minutes so we went that way. Once we arrived I was very surprised how nice it was on the inside. White and Black marble or quartz all throughout. The place isn't that big on the inside and you just order at the counter. We picked up our popcorn chickens and you could tell they were super hot and super fresh so we hurry back to the car to eat at home. We got into our popcorn chicken and wow, for $6.75 each they put a good amount of chicken in here. Taiwanese was new to me and I had never had anything like it. I had flavorful seasoning, were still very hot and the chicken was nice and tender. I will say both of these popcorn chickens use dark meat so just a heads up for those who are not a fan. I will say you are wrong but still. The Spicy was very similar just with a spicy seasoning. I will say neither were very crispy but that could have been from the steaming in the box since again they were fresh out of the fryer. If I had to pick one I will say I preferred the spicy but both were good and it was very close. I will for sure be coming back since I saw they have a Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and well as Korean Fried Wings and Drumsticks. Also they are cheaper then the other Korean Fried Chicken restaurant down the street so come here.

A paper container filled with fried chicken pieces is positioned on a white surface. The chicken appears crispy and seasoned. Part of a drink in a plastic cup and another food item are visible to the right. The image is taken from above, showing the food presentation and setting.

Both boba tea were lumpy, taro tea had a cake like crumbs in it and mango tea had strands of mango which have a very unpleasant flavor.

So glad they finally opened one in St. John's! My favorite is their coconut mango slush paired with Korean fried chicken!

Easy Açaí - Small acai & cupuacu

Do not sleep on the cupuacu! I always mix half acai, half cupuacu and it's so smooth and delicious - not too sweet. I love getting this small bowl as a healthy sweet tooth treat. I will say, it is kinda pricey for a small cup/bowl with three toppings. But every now and then it's a nice reward. The store is an open and clean design with pretty tropical decorations sprinkled throughout. You can either order at a kiosk or speak to an attendant to order. Love that they have both of those options- usually I'll order from the kiosk bc I already know what I want and can pay right there - easy peasy as well. There was plenty of free parking, and neither me nor my friend waited very long for our orders to be ready. Would definitely go back!

I mean, sure I could have made…read moreone at home if I searched around for the ingredients in stores but I was not feeling that at the moment. So I decided to get a 16oz bowl with Acai Zero and Cupuacu. Yeah, I had no idea what that was so I googled it. All I needed to know was that it was from a tropical rainforest tree related to the cacao. Sold! I added bananas, granola, goji berries, and honey for the right amount of sweetness. The delivery app had a BOGO deal on the Coxinhas (also didn't know what this was so this was googled as well: Brazilian pastries with shredded chicken in them) so I got these as well. The bowl is actually a cup which is fine. The Cupuacu I likened to something creamy and milky but it was actually pretty tasty. As a whole it was delicious. The Coxinhas were bagged with the cup/bowl and were still pretty warm after the 20 min trip to my house. Opening up the bag this delicious scent hits you in the face. These bite-sized morsels are so good. Definitely had a good experience and glad I was able to try them out.

Today was our first time coming to this restaurant…read more We received a $50 gift card through an Instagram drawing so we didn't have an actual gift card when we arrived. I wasn't really sure how it was going to work out -- but when we arrived we took a look at the menu and then explain the situation to the friendly cashier at the counter. There were no issues from there. We spent about $50 on two meals and two drinks (not including tip). We ordered the Burrito Mexicano, Pink Protein Pancakes (with eggs), Morning Energizer (I believe that's what it was called), & a matcha latte. The pancakes were made using beet flour which you can definitely taste. I actually enjoy the taste of beets but if you don't, maybe don't order those. The eggs weren't our favorite thing in the world, but they were warm & got the job done. The order also came with a variety of fresh fruit. I appreciated that I didn't come to any piece of fruit that was overly ripe. I really liked the burrito but next time I think I would add some kind of breakfast meat to it. Accompanying me for the meal was my 15 month old daughter. When we arrived, I didn't see any high chairs. I was a little concerned about how the meal was going to go without one... but after we ordered and sat down the hostess grabbed a highchair for us (which was clean). My favorite things we ordered were the two drinks. My daughter and I actually both drink those together and surprisingly her favorite was the morning energizer (which had the beet juice). We sat indoors, but there is somewhat of an outdoor patio if the weather was nice and you wanted to sit outdoor. Indoor seating had a variety of options from comfy chairs (that gave coffee shop vibes), to regular dining chairs. I also appreciated that though there was some music playing in their speakers -- It wasn't too loud. Something that really impressed me was: the second we finished a plate and pushed it aside (so my 15 month old wouldn't play with it) the hostess immediately took it away from us. There was no wait. The complementary water that is brought to the table tasted clean and without chlorine. All of the food was fresh tasting, and we enjoyed the interactions we had with all of the staff we spoke to. The women's restroom was one of the cleanest I have been in and it had a luxury vibe to it.
