    Drive thru blind exit
    Pam H.

Starbucks is consistently a good source of my caffeine. Love getting a good cold Americano or chai latte tea. Staff seems to handle the pressure of an extremely busy location very well. But man, pulling off San Jose to get in their drive-thru line is always an accident waiting to happen because the line is so long it wraps around the store and blocks the entrance from the street. I am grateful they finally opened a store in south Mandarin, but it's a bear to navigate the parking lot most days.

The world knows that I love Starbucks coffee. That is without question. I do have a single negative about this particularly location though. Parking. Every time I park in front of this location I get stuck when I want to leave because the drive-through gets backed up and blocks the people that are parked. My tip would be to park at the shopping center next door and walk an extra 50 feet (A couple of extra burned calories would not hurt when you're headed to get a high calorie Starbucks drink). ;) or if you are not wanting to get out of your car, you can stick with the drive-through and be one of those cars that blocks in the people that are parked. Haha Interior. I love that there is a big table in the center that has charging ports. I often see people with their laptops doing work. Wine! This location offers wine! They have their beer and wine license, so this gives them a huge plus to other surrounding Starbucks locations! Overall, I give this Starbucks 4 stars. The negative being the major parking issue! Other than that, I love the interior. I love the location. I love the service. I love that it's a drive through. I love that they serve wine. Wine and coffee have my heart. Thanks Starbucks for providing a place for me that serves high quality of my two favorite things!

This Mandarin location is urban chic with a wrap around drive thru that is always busy. These Mandarins love coffee anytime!! Beer and wine are now on the pm menu making this a fun hangout.

Too much milk caramel macchiato right and ice coffee left.

I'm addicted to Starbucks. Just the fact that this one has a drive thru gets it bonus points with me. I LOVE my drink from here 95% of the time. That's super, but it could be higher for the price. Besides the amazing drive thru, every worker I have spoken with here has been friendly and happy to be there (at least it seems, which is what I want to see). Negatives would be the size of the location space itself. The lot is tiny and there isn't a lot of space for a line. Although, I've never had more than two cars in front of me, so they handle the flow pretty well. The last few times I've come here I have to repeat myself a few times until my order is "heard". I wouldn't mention, except that I've been coming here since it opened and I never had that problem until a week or two ago. I'm hoping that'll get worked out soon. :)

It would be faster to become a barista and learn to make your own drink than it would to wait in the drive-through at this Starbucks..

I decided on a caramel latte (improvised because I got to have caramel), a strawberry cream cheese cruffin and several pastries to go. I want to say that the cruffin was one of the best things I ever tasted. It was light, flaky but also hearty and sweet. My friend tried a piece of mine and had to order her own. The service was amazing items were made in a good time frame. I did notice customers ordering boxes filled with pastries so I'll assume that everything is good here. The building is a little on the smaller size so although you can seat and enjoy, it can get crowded if too many people have that idea. She does have outdoor seating. Overall, I loved this place and I'm happy to stop and order when I'm just needing a decadent treat.

The owner, Massi, is such a nice guy and loves to tell funny jokes. His wife, Sabrina, isn't always there, but she is the sweetest and always provides my family with the best customer service. Because I have been raving about this place so much, all my relatives love it and go there regularly (yes, they go every weekend). Please don't expect Starbucks drinks from there. They serve authentic Italian style coffee, so you will get a hot caffe latte in a tall glass. The macchiato will be in a small espresso cup. Try their hot cappuccino with whole milk so you can experience the authentic way of making cappuccino (they only use one shot of espresso, and they said that's the Italian way!). Italian hot chocolate is also a favorite among European customers. Sandwiches are always great, and my favorite is prosciutto, arugula, Parmesan cheese, and tomato. It's a perfect spot to gather with friends or family. This cafe is a must try. These pictures are from multiple visits within three years.

I had a plum cinnamon tea which was also great and hit the spot on a rainy day. The WiFi connected but wouldn't open any pages except google, so that was a bummer. I'd love to see for-here food come in an actual plate or bowl. The bowl mine came in had all the egg & sausage on the bottom, so you ate grits first then everything else. Still, I'd come back and try more things. I also tried the chocolate banana thing (muffin? Donut? Cupcake.) and found it pretty disappointing. The cake part itself is good, very moist. Too moist to be a donut or a muffin, so it must be a cupcake, which is weird considering the shape. The icing was awful. It's so overpoweringly sweet it doesn't taste like chocolate or banana, just sugar. If you don't scrape it off, it makes the whole thing way too sweet.

The restaurant was spacious, clean, and packed but it wasn't overcrowded. Once we were seated, our waitress came to take our orders. She was phenomenal! Service was great, we were taken care of, and our waters always refilled. I ordered the following: Honey butter mini biscuits: 8.5/10 - warm, fluffy, buttery, and it came with a side of honey butter and blueberry compote? The honey butter was the star and it was so delicious on top of the warm biscuit. They were mini sized but they in my opinion, was the perfect size. I loved the flavor of the blueberry compote but it was a little too runny for me. When you mix the whipped honey butter and blueberry together, it was so yummy!!! You get alot for your order too. We had plenty to go around and extra among the 3 of us. Market veggie sandwich with potatoes: 9/10 - I really enjoyed this sandwich. It will packed with roasted crimini mushrooms, onions and spinach with basil pesto, mayo and mozzarella cheese. I opted for a side of potatoes instead of their salad. The sandwich was hearty, flavorful, and fresh. But their potatoes were to die for! Perfectly crispy and buttery! I would absolutely get this sandwich again. Million dollar bacon: 9/10 - my favorite side of all time is their million dollar bacon. It's sweet, smokey, crispy, and has a hint of spice from the black pepper and cayenne. I absolutely enjoyed the candied bacon. I even put some in my veggie sandwich and it reminded me of an elevated BLT. Overall, First Watch is definitely a breakfast staple for us.
