I believe this is the only Starbucks in the entire county, so you can expect daily lines at the drive thru, especially during COVID. Unlike many Starbucks down the hill, however, I've always found the service to be friendly and the drinks made to order. That's the thing about small town service that makes it worth the wait. When arriving for a drink on my latest visit, I was disenchanted by a line of cars that stretched clear around the building and out into the entryway to the parking lot. Nevertheless, I persisted and was amazed to be at the front window in less than ten minutes. I have no idea how many people they have inside but they were pumping out drinks like nobody's business. A lot of Amador people are, frankly, old and grumpy, so I also applaud these young folks for continually being nice and chipper - especially at 7 in the morning. Keep up the good work! The service here today was awful and the manager insured a nightmarish experience. First they don't have any of their holiday flavors but they advertise that they do and the manager blamed corporate for not taking the sign down and updating the drive through menu. Todays experience was crazy. I normally go through the drive through or walk in and order. We were running short on time so I decided to do a mobile order and placed my order at 1:02 for breakfast sausage sandwiches and an Americano. Quoted ready time was 2-5 minutes. Walked in at 1:05 and the sandwiches were up shortly after. There were 4-6 people standing and waiting for their orders. Tracey the barista was working the espresso machine. There didn't appear to be any since of urgency. I'm sure she had at least a dozen drinks on the line. At 1:12 she was washing all her milk pitchers and didn't appear to be starting on any orders. I couldn't wait any longer I asked the other barista to cancel my americano and asked for a drip coffee. Got a venti hot tea and the barista was so sweet and nice. I definitely didn't complain about the wait or go on yelp to berate a poor customer service worker because my tea wasn't handed over immediately. It's BS when posted hours say open until 7pm, and you walk up at 6:40 and told they're closed. And across the way the drive through supposedly closed at 8pm, and they closed at 5:30. I love coffee! It's a problem! Starbucks had always been my go to for my addiction! I love the white mocha frappe. The baristas are typically ok. Some are more friendly than others. Some don't even smile when you pull up which is sad. I can only surmise it to being burn out by their level of traffic. Starbucks typically has at least a 15 minute wait in the drive thru. I've waited 20 minutes in their drive up line and if I didn't love my drink so much, I would not waste the time because between the service and the wait, I could only muster up a 2 star rating. I just had an "experience" at Starbucks that I would prefer to forget but felt that I should "share" it because I think the Starbucks management at the Martell CA location needs to hear it. I ordered a Venti hot tea from the Starbucks cashier who would normally grab the correct sized cup, put the tea bags and hot water in and hand me the tea. Instead, this cashier promptly took my money and forgot my order. After waiting for the order and not have anyone make my tea, one of the barista's kindly asked me if I was waiting for an order. I explained that I was awaiting a tea which I had paid for. The nice barista informed the cashier who took my order and the absent minded cashier preceded to make the small sized tea for me. I walked over and explained that I had paid for the Venti size hot tea. When she finally made my correctly sized hot tea, I asked for a "stopper". When she did not understand I said I would like a "green plug" for the drink. Instead of either putting in the cup correctly or handing it to me directly, she instead put it on the barista counter. I was outraged. In the days of COVID19 where I am asked to wear a mask and sanitize my hands constantly, she put the green plug on the barista counter where hundreds of people per day grab drinks from. That was it, I asked to talk to the manager. When I explained everything I described above to the manager, she said the cashier had simply gotten flustered. I said I understood but was not a happy customer. I explained to the manager that I frequently come in and order a Venti hot tea from that Martell CA Starbucks. The manager offered nothing and simply said "I'm sorry" and nothing else. So much for good customer service where a manager tries to make sure an upset customer does not walk away unhappy. I am unhappy with Starbucks at the Martell CA location not only because the cashier did not handle a simple hot tea orders but that she also demonstrated poor sanitary habits during these days of COVID19. I am equally upset because the manager did not simply even offer anything aside from a weak "I'm Sorry". Just so everyone knows, I would have accepted a simple refund of my $3 hot tea, but nothing was offered and the manager didn't even seem like she was sincere in her apology. The entire experience at this Martell CA Starbucks demonstrated poor COVID19 hygiene and even more pathetic management. read more

Out of all the Starbucks I have been to this one is probably the weirdest. I work in Jackson and I stop by when I'm on a break and before or after work. Every time I order a iced, venti or trenta drink the lid is a frap lid not the flat one, any other smaller size they put a flat lid on, kind of weird but at least my drink is right. One day I ordered a grande and got a tall, went through drive thru and had no time to go back and ask but a few days later went back and ordered the same thing through drive thru and it was correct and the right size, maybe just busy the other day I went. read more

Hands down my favorite Starbucks. The baristas are really friendly and my drinks are always right. Even when the line is out the door they are still so nice and efficient. I order for my whole office every morning, so that's saying a lot. We have another Starbucks on the direct area that has a drive thru but I prefer to go into Safeway to go to this one! read more

This is a review of their recent remodel: They removed all the comfortable chairs and replaced them with uncomfortable chairs and stools, plus one tolerable wall-bench fronted by minuscule tables too small to do any actual work on. One can no longer, with any degree of comfort at this Starbucks, enjoy their coffee and read a book, or do work or chat with a friend. I've been a loyal customer visiting this location at least 5X a week for the past 6 years; now I go maybe once and get my coffee to go because all the seating choices are so very unsatisfactory. I like going there to concentrate on work, as I usually can. But lately the staff has been turning up the volume of the music to the point that it feels like I'm in a dance club. Seeing as the number of people who come in to work on stuff for school or a job, I am surprised this is even an issue. I don't expect it to be quiet like a library, but when the music is so loud that I can not hear the videos I have to watch, even with headphones, there is a problem. read more

Best time to go thru the drive thru is 10am. Anything before 10 or after 11 is a 20 minute wait! The staff is amazing though! Someone else complained they talk to much with each other - its called socializing! I'd rather have a nice barista than a rude robot. read more
