I wouldn't even give one star! All 3 Starbucks locations at IND are filthy and service is horrible. It's been this way for years and needs to be fixed by HMSHost. HMSHost operates and manages all 3 locations. The location in Civic Plaza is the worst. It took 30 minutes to get an espresso at 5pm on March 15. Neither the cashier or one barista were thrilled to be working and it was reflective in their demeanor and slow movement. HMSHost is failing to uphold the Starbucks brand! read more

Stood in line for 20 min to have my January tumbler filled. Got to the register and was told they did not honor this Starbucks offer. I traveled two weeks ago and they honored the deal then. If Starbucks is not going to honor their own promotion at least have the courtesy to post it so you do not have to waste your time waiting in line. WOW!!! Never had to wait 20 minutes for a drink before. 1 barista with 1 at the register. I ordered a tall Matcha with Almond milk. They are out of almond milk. Fine, soy milk will work. As I was waiting one of the employees yelled out that they are out of Venti size cups. I wondered what else are they out of. My name was called, I went up to the counter.. "we're out of Matcha powder". And was offered another type of drink. Fine, a Flat White Soy then. Manager was talking loudly across to the barista guy about who's coming in to work, who's leaving and where to put the bag of money. Didn't think that was very professional to have a work meeting from outside the Starbucks across to the other side while the barista guy was concentrating on the orders. He looked frustrated but did the best he could considering they were out of everything. Not a happy place to work by the looks on the employees faces. read more

Disorganized, bored, and slow staff. They started by assuming I would pay with credit, then had to void the purchase and redo the transaction for cash. The breakfast wrap I ordered was slopped together and a little burnt around the edges. The cashier was coughing and handling food/money while appearing to be sick. 7/25/17 Came back a little over a year later. Same location, same time, much improved experience. Service was great. 6/9/16 The Gate A location... literally the slowest Starbucks I've ever seen... literally. It took longer to get coffee from that Starbucks at 5:30 AM than it did to get through TSA. Did you get that? It took longer for their "baristas" to make espresso than it did for the federal government to make sure I wasn't bringing a bomb on the plane. read more

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The cashier literally said to her coworker "i dont work two feet over there, i work in front of the cashier only, dont ask me to do anything" she was wearing a pink face mask on 06/15/2021 and is heavy set. My father went through radiation treatment and has no more salivation glands in his mouth. We ask for a large water cup and they said "We dont want to give you a cup because we were shorted cups" We asked for a different style cup and offered to pay for it. The girl shuts down and goes "I dont need to deal with this" and turns around to her manager and just points at us. I grab the receipt and she snaps at me saying I didn't need to snatch it when I didn't.... She was the most unprofessional person I've had the displeasure of meeting. her other coworker proceeds to talk about me negatively like a full grown teenager when I can hear her, she threatens me by saying "You're lucky I'm behind this counter" which is EXTREMELY unprofessional, like what did I do??? The heavy set pink mask gets the supervisor and I explain what happened, then he is mortified by the actions of his employees and says "Everyone is the same rank back there I don't know why she thinks that over there isn't her job. I am extremely sorry for the unprofessional behavior and threats you received from this staff." read more

Early morning at the airport. Ordered a breve white chocolate mocha. The cashier didn't know what it was. The cashier was complaining that she was tired and if someone could complete a void for her. I repeated my order three times. Finally the person making the drinks gets my order. The cashier still hasn't rang me up. She doesn't know how to ring up the order. I repeat my order to her again and the person making the drinks says "I heard you the last time". I pay for my drink and move over to the other side to wait. Now the person making the drink is arguing with another employee. He walks away and is telling the manager about this argument. The worst customer service ever at a Starbucks!!! I asked for a refund!! They should put the customers first. Keep employee conversation to a minimum. The manager should have had them take care of customers and then settled their disagreement. read more

Not impressed. Was there on a slow Friday morning and couldnt get good service. The heavy set woman with her head covered was exyremely rude. She took my wifes order and gave her a total with me standing there. When I told her I had an order she seemed annoyed. When she was writing our orders on the cups she had her hand on the inside of the cup half way down it. We pointed it out to her and she got upset at us and put her hand up and said whatever and then walked away. This was the worst service I have ever had. Perfect "last chance" yummy coffee stop before dragging through security and boarding your flight. Or the perfect pick me up after arrival or while waiting to pick someone up. The Baristas are speedy and very nice. read more

I'm not sure if this is the one that is in the terminal, but if it is Samantha was so incredibly sweet and patient and took the time to make me a decaf right before closing, even though her Colleague was rude enough to ask right in front of me whether not they had an of time before closing... When they still have plenty of customers left in line that they needed to attend to. Just as a sidenote, I had already stopped by earlier to ask for one and said I would come back closer to when I boarded thank you for being so sweet and having such great customer service, the coffee was awesome! read more

While our drinks were good and the lady takin the our order was very good and polite and pleasant, there was a lack of energy in the rest of staff. With this lack of energy came low efficiency and our drinks took forever. One of the employees was called off the line by the manager but no one bothered to fill her spot and finish our drinks. Could definitely use some improvement. read more

This Starbucks is in a great location--right by the Southwest Airlines gates. The service is fast and usually friendly. They are often well stocked on baked goods and snacks. read more

It's so nice that Starbucks makes alternative employment opportunities for people incapable of even the most basic customer service functions. While I do kind of wish they weren't so close to the gates so I wouldn't think "I'll just grab a quick coffee before my flight," because they don't actually sell coffee here. I have been here 15 times since I fly in and out all the time, and this is, by far, the worst Starbucks ever. One time they are out of what I want, one time they argue that they can't give me the drink I want (even I get it everywhere else), today they charged me for some other drink which cost $2 more. It took forever and employees were grumpy. Waited at least 15 minutes for a drink.

Normally this small Starbucks is excellent. However, this morning we had to wait 15-20 minutes on two orders. A pumpkin spice latte and an Americano. I finally asked the register person to credit our order. He said "sorry". The basic root of the problem was a slow, untrained barista who seemed to go even more slowly after I complained about time. By far the worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. I ordered a blueberry muffin and somehow they handed me two cranberry and wheat muffins, charged me for both, and had no concern for the fact that they got it wrong. Will never order from here again read more
