Starbucks in Birkdale Village
Bruce K.

This Starbucks in Birkdale Village does not have a drive through but it does have some really nice outside seating. Depending on the time of day, you could really get some sun sitting here. Inside, quite busy and most of the tables were taken by laptops or people studying. The short queue moved quickly and I had my Tall Blonde in hand with room swiftly. The inside is relatively clean, spacious, and there's a lot of merchandise to purchase if you'd like. In regards to my visit, Alice wasn't a good listener when she took my order, and also wanted to get a bunch of items in the oven before taking my order; I had a full phone conversation before she took my order, and the phone call wasn't picked up until after she said, " I'll be right with you." Oh, and the line was not short, but the others working were really wonderful and efficient. The iced decaf latte I got for my birthday was quickly made after I got to order and it was really good! Thanks for making my birthday drink and day special! Cheers!

This is the best Starbucks in Huntersville. They have nitro cold brew on tap. There are tables for two and a large communal table inside. Outside there are about as many tables and seats. The only thing missing is a bike rack--I use lamp posts and trees.

I drink tea, but lately the work load has been so I need an extra kick...so The Buck is where I go to get my espresso on...yes I drink the E not the C...why....because someone close to me said it best....go big or go home. So when it comes to caffine I'd prefer a large (venti...WTF...do I look italian? Am I in Italy????...give me a break) A non-fat large/venti latte with an extra shot (making it 3 in total). That always does the trick. For this particular visit I added in a NY Times so I could read how the so-called "best place to live in the world" was doing....because you know....any other places just doesn't compare...I mean Birkdale is much dirtier....more crime...higher prices...more attitude....and so little green space...I mean come ON! NYC is perfect..............yea.................right. So off my "long live the south horse" and back to the review....... This particular location is small by many standards with interior space, but big on outdoor seating, which is perfect for the Birk and people watching. For this particular visit I was out side and enjoying my drink, paper, and watching and listening to all the little things being done and discussed around me. So a good place to get a swift kick in the pants with some liquid go-go juice and take in the people that make up the corn burbs.

This is our usual spot. We love coming here and walking around Birkdale, hanging at Starbucks, and talking with the baristas! Come here and hang out! You can beta order and it's always ready when we get there.

Holy cow! It was freezing cold in this place this morning! One of the baristas was wearing a scarf.

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Baristas are rude and you ask for no foam and you get nothing but foam in your drink

For my money, the best Hot Mocha is at any Caribou Coffee! They actually steam chocolate morsels…read more(those are better than chips, FYI) and add to the milk and the coffee and finally, in the cup. It's so creamy and luscious! They also put a chocolate covered roasted espresso bean (CCREB) on the little indention on the lid in case you need MORE coffee and chocolate! (and who doesn't). This location seemed new. It had a front entrance but at this location, most people enter in the rear. That's where the parking lot is located. The rear entrance is smaller and harder to see as it's a narrow corridor to get in. It gets lost with the other entrances and stairs. Once inside, it's easy to walk to the front to order or pick up your mobile order. They have some comfy looking seating and there were a bunch of others working and meeting there. All I get at this chain is hot mochas, so I can't comment on anything else. But I'd imagine the other stuff is good.

They had plenty of drink and food choices. I got the Iced Honey Lavender Latte and it was soooo good! The sweetness and the lavender flavor was definitely just the right amount and meshed well together. The coffee flavor was a bit underwhelming, but I would recommend getting this drink if you are a Lavender person. I will be coming back before my vacation ends in North Carolina!

Wonderful place to grab breakfast! This morning I had my first experience at Cocotte. Our order was…read morethe Saint Germaine sandwich, the breakfast croissant, and two drip coffees. The sandwich was spectacular on a wonderful crusty baguette. It wasn't heated up and made fresh about two hours before I came in most likely, so it wasn't soggy as others mentioned. It was wonderful. The flavor was very savory. My grandmother was very pleased with her breakfast sandwich! Big, flaky croissant with fluffy eggs! The coffee was not weak and I enjoyed it. Creamer was offered as a self-serve from a pitcher. It certainly felt better than opening 9 creamer cups between two people. Free water was offered at the end of the line, too. So, no waiting for a refill. I also got two pastries to go-- both were spectacular. Sweet in a savory and memorable way, rather than being over-the-top and masking fake-y ingredients with sugar like many places do. The bakers do a wonderful job. Despite the crowd and line, the employees moved quickly and kindly. Pleasantries were still exchanged and things made-to-order were out in a timely manner. The people here work very hard. It's a hectic job but they do it well and they do it without sacrificing small niceties or helpfulness. The interior was nice, too. Tables were kept clean and there was a nice area for little ones to occupy themselves while parents enjoyed their drink and meal. Books, some plushies, and pretend-play toys were there. No tablets or items that could make them hyper. I very much enjoyed my experience after a hard night and morning. Thank you to everyone that works at Cocotte for showing up and staying kind. With tip, for two people you can expect to spend around $35. Not a terrible price for a great brunch experience with great environment + people. I recommend 100%. Though, maybe come early in the morning while everything is fresh. Others have different experiences late in the day it sounds like.

I'd like to try the food next time I visit. Everything looked delicious from other customers in the cafe.

This is a little boutique shop (it auto-corrected to 'little booty shop' but I fixed it. Anyway,…read moreit's in the middle section (where the grass is) in Birkdale Village. But it's also at the end of the strip of shops and near the movie theater, which makes me come to a realization... You get five tiny donuts for $5 (and then they ask for tip on screen and since service was good I obliged) so you could sneak five tiny donuts into the movies and save money on movie snacks and popcorn but the donuts would be gone very quickly and popcorn lasts longer. You probably want the popcorn. Another thing about these donuts is that they are owned by the same guy that owns them at the state fair--not the donuts themselves but the donut booths. And they do taste like state fair donuts. If you're at the state fair, they're sensational. If you're at Birkdale Village, they're small sugary donuts in a really nice-looking trailer. The donuts might also be nostalgic for you as they were for me. My friend in junior high landed a date he had a crush on for two years. The date was at the state fair. I know for a fact they went on the Ferris Wheel and when it stopped at the top, the girl panicked and demanded they rotated the wheel so she could get off the freaking thing. This wish was granted, and that friend ditched her forever. It's also possible that he ate a donut.

They came out nice and warm. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar one. I wasn't a fan of the apple cider because it had a fake apple taste. The chocolate one was too bitter I think because they dusted it in cocoa powder. Overall, the donuts were nothing special and they were very overpriced. For tiny bite sized donuts they were 6 for $5. I probably wouldn't get them again.
