Exploring Concord and it's coffee time. After ordering my cortado, I found a comfortable seat towards the back. By the time I had set up my laptop and gotten connected to the wifi, my cortado was called out and I picked it up. Hot and fresh, a great dose of caffeine to keep me going this morning. I was looking for a coffee shop on my way back to Greensboro from Charlotte. This coffee shop was the perfect stop because it got me out of the Charlotte congestion and also helped me cut my drive almost in half. It is also located in a super cute southern downtown area with quite a few boutiques and local restaurants and bars (also an open container social district). Being downtown I did find the parking a bit challenging at first since this was apparently the place to be mid day Saturday, but I ended I finding parking on the street behind the Main Street. I also noticed a garage that appeared not to be charging as an additional option. The coffee shop itself had a cute patio, and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the place was with ample seating options (tables, couches, coffee bar seating). Since it is fall and I'm a sucker for fall drinks I tried the Maple and Cinnamon Latte with oat milk and added the pumpkin cold foam!!! This drink was full of fall flavor and perfectly balanced! I usually get a small coffee but this was so good I was regretting not getting a larger size! I'll definitely be back on my next pot stop between Greensboro and Charlotte and maybe take some time to explore the nearby shops! read more

I tried out Press & Porter in downtown Concord and absolutely loved the space and the vibes! It's a nice place to work, hang out with a friend, or just go on a coffee date. The staff was very friendly and kind. I ordered from their cereal milk menu which consisted of a fruit loops latte or matcha, Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte, captain crunch latte, and what I ordered, the strawberry Frosted Flakes matcha with oat milk, which was SO good. Somehow they were able to perfectly execute the taste in my opinion. It tasted just like you would think it would lol. I look forward to returning to try another latte! read more

Press & Porter is a quaint little coffee shop off the beaten path, for now as major construction continues outside. But nevertheless, patrons are flocking to this comfy little establishment to get a caffeine fix! The ambience is set the moment you enter, with the sweet barista's who greet you so warmly, to the smoking hot or ice cold beverage of your choice. The seating is optimal with plenty of natural sunlight. The pastries are delicious and locally sourced. There's a few other options from drinks to sandwiches and snacks for you to choose from. This establishment is clean and well-maintained, and even has an area for the little ones to make all their own. All in all Press & Porter is a welcome fixture in Cabarrus county.. Ordered a white chocolate mocha hot. I like my coffee sweet and it was really good. Inside is a cute area for some downtime. Great little place to sit and catch up with a friend or do some work online. Lots of seating available. I also saw that they sold breakfast sandwiches to go, matcha, hot tea, Italian soda, mimosas, wine, and draft ipa!. You can add any of their extra flavors to your drink if you'd like to customize. Milk alternatives are available listed as Oat, Almond, Soy, and coconut. I can't wait to come back and add in some lavender. Service was QUICK and delightful! I have been here numerous times and I absolutely love this coffee shop! The baristas are super friendly and craft the best coffee drinks. One time we asked the barista (wish I could remember her name!) to make us her own creation and she made one of the most delicious iced coffee drinks I've ever had. They have a great atmosphere and good chill music (think Noah Kahan, Hozier, Mt Joy, and The 502s). Many comfortable seating options, and some board games or puzzles to keep you entertained. They have fun seasonal drink menus that they change periodically. Great place to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. This is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops and have recommended it to many friends and family. There are MANY coffee shops in Concord. As I'm making my way through them, I'm finding my favorites and this is nearing the top of the list. A few quick and dirty reasons, the coffee is always amazing (although I'm a flavored oat milk latte girl), they serve food (some egg sandwiches and grab and go), and their prices are reasonable. My husband and I walked there on a weekend morning to get coffee and an egg sandwich, we learned you have to get there early because they only had one of the two selections left by the time we got there. Still worth it. Why are there not more breakfast options in Concord?!! I don't know about you, but I'm tired of paying almost $9 for a flavored latte with a milk alternative. I almost fell over when I ordered one at 'another' place and the price was $8.something. Here they have 'staff picks' which have oat milk as part of the drink, so it's not 'extra'. It's refreshing. They also have beer and wine and it's a nice place to do some work (although some people take advantage of this too much - I don't want to hear your meeting). I'm not sure of another place where you can get all of that. And it's right in downtown Concord. Yes, the current construction is annoying, but there is a free parking garage literally a two minute walk away. Don't be lazy. So to sum it up, it's a beautiful place, with nice staff, great coffee, you can get a bite to eat, then a glass of wine, and even if you spill something on yourself they sell T-shirts and sweatshirts. I'm not sure if we could ask for anything more. Oh, pastries, they also have some pastries! And maybe even ice cream, I don't remember, better you go look. read more

I enjoyed my first visit to Press & Porter. Location: The downtown location is very convenient. We were able to walk to the coffee shop after a visit to the local library. There is street parking and a parking garage nearby. Atmosphere: The patio offers several tables and it is perfect for a cool day. There is plenty of seating and tables inside including a couple "conversational" areas and a kid friendly area. Good place to get some work done or chat with friends. Everything was very clean (even the bathroom). Food/Drinks: I tried a classic Chai Latte. It was made pretty quickly and tasted great. I also tried some of the Kombucha. Not my jam, yet hubby enjoyed it. They had a few baked goods available, but I would like to see more options. read more

I've been coming to this place for a year now and I'm so sad to have just moved away. The special monthly drinks were my favorite. I tried a London fog for the first time off their January orange menu and my god was it fantastic. My tried and true is the 'I love you so matcha' which was from the seasonal menu of Feb '24 which is basically a vanilla matcha latte with strawberry cold foam on top - my everyday drink. There's construction on the street, so parking isn't overly ideal; however there is a parking deck within walking distance that's free. They have a great selection of seasonal coffees, and a delicious chai latte. My absolute favorite was the dirty chai with pumpkin cold foam. I never order anything pumpkin flavored, so that should definitely be telling. All of the baristas I've encountered were very nice and there's decent seating, but best to takeaway. read more

Happened to stop by Press & Porter while in Concord and had the most delicious foamy & spicy chai with almond milk. Just perfection and such a good price: 16oz for $6! Can't get that in Huntersville! Very nice staff & quick! The shop itself has lots of different seating and couches and is fairly quiet. I parked behind in the 3hr public parking instead of on the street and there were lots of empty spots. Now that I had this perfect chai, I'll be back! read more

They were pretty busy when I got there and seemed like struggling maybe just a bit- walked inside to order no greeting. Impersonal and apathetic vibe. But. Cute place, lots of comfortable seating and very convenient in downtown concord. Possible the only local coffee shop. Also, there's a dog in here. Not a service dog just a dog hanging out- not all dogs are safe. But thats so common at Coffee Shop's now - not a deal breaker... Oat milk latte was pretty good, a tad foamy but yummy enough. stopped in for work except there's nothing to work on... so, well, maybe get coffee and a cookie? turned out to be a much better option than actually accomplishing anything :-) choco-mint cookie was a bit spendy but very good. merchant's choice fresh and soft out of the delivery bucket and into a parchment sackette for my snacking pleasure. didn't know what I'd got until we were down the road on our way to Mt Pleasant and other business but bits of peppery mint layed up against the chunky chocolate in a tasty-full way. straight black drip is a bit rougher than I prefer but ought to appeal to everyone else on the planet because that seems to be the way it goes lately... the coffee is espressive on a level better suited to a 6 oz flat white than a 20 oz traveler (loud and proud rather than politely assertive) perhaps I'll have a go at something else next time through. read more

The first time I loved it, loved the atmosphere and my drink was perfect. The second time my drink tasted totally different, although I ordered the same thing, and I was a little disappointed. Super cute coffee shop with fun options. I took my kids here a couple days ago and we had a nice experience. There are organic snacks and treat options which I really appreciate. My kids got one of their fruit popsicles and I tried one of their drinks. I got a "Goldenberry" tea which is kinda like Starbucks' shaken ice teas. It had iced tea, mint, and lemonade with a peach syrup. It was a little too sweet for my liking but I think that's personal preference. Nice staff and cute and cozy atmosphere. read more

Coffee is something that as of late has been a major part of my routine. In my case I almost always end up at Starbucks or Dunkin. 99% of the time my drink is made flawlessly and I feel as if the price I paid for satisfaction was worth it. Because we only live once I decided to venture out of my comfort zone (my first mistake) and try some new coffee. I was immediately reminded why I don't do this. I got "the maggie" which sounded pretty amazing from the description. I eagerly opened my straw and took a sip just to be met with pure bitterness and cinnamon. The coffee did not mix whatsoever and the honey sat at the bottom awaiting to be a part of the drink. I was forced to throw it out. The only thing that saved this establishment from a one star review was how cute this place was. Side note: the employee was very friendly, the coffee was just bad. read more

First time visiting this place, but it's a great new spot and addition to the downtown scene. The space itself is beautiful and very open, but can also be a little noisy when every table is full. The woman working was super friendly and quickly took/fulfilled my order. They have a few baked goods, today it was two kinds of scones and some cookies. I decided to try the Banana Nut Scone and the house blend hot coffee. Both are very good. The icing on the scone is a little sweet, but it offsets the dry texture of the scone itself. It'd probably be delicious warmed, but I didn't even think to ask! I think my favorite part is all the different seating options in the shop. They have small tables, tall tables, counter spots, and some arm chairs. In the back room they have a longer table that would probably fit 9-10 people. They also have some games and books in the back room area. I'll definitely come back and visit in the evening (they have wine and live music) and other times of day. I'd love to see them add a few more breakfast/snack options and then they'd be my standalone favorite in downtown, especially considering the donut shop has limited hours/days of being open and this place opens bright and early. read more

The inside of the shop is very open with several seating options - stools, tables, and couches. The barista was very friendly and quickly brought my drink out. I ordered a vanilla latte which was a really good cup of coffee. Price-wise it is similar to what you would pay at Starbucks or Dunkin. They have limited options for food with a few pre-packaged snacks, a scone, and donut from a local shop. Worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

Walking thru The cute town of Concord, we seen this coffee shop was open. Decided to give it a go and was not disappointed! The girl working the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the shops offerings. We decided to go with a Cortado ( Cuban drink of an espresso shot with sweetener) and one of their seasonal drinks, the pumpkin pie latte. The girl explained this drink was less sweet than the pumpkin spice latte they also offer but that it was made with pumpkin purée -SOLD! We ordered that and man was it good!!! It was as she described, not too sweet but enough to give you a yummy taste as if you were eating a slice of pie. Thoroughly enjoyed that drink!!! makes me want to go back there before the season is over. The cortado was also delicious!!! So smooth!!! We are from Southern California where we have Porto's to go to for some good cortado but I would have to say the first thing that came out of my mouth after taking the first sip of Press & Porter's cortado was that it was better than Porto's!!! ( if you don't know about Porto's, Their locations are always crazy busy and for good reason!) I will definitely be a frequent visitor here ( to try out some more of their offerings) even though I'm a good 30 min north from here, this place is worth a visit and has good vibes in it to hang out!
