Food was good, although the avocado toast is advertised as two pieces you only get one. However, it was very yummy. Service was good, but upon entering, we had to be the ones that acknowledge the people behind the counter by saying good morning to them otherwise they would've just stared at us. Service was fast as there were not a lot of people in the restaurant at the time. The restaurant is very open and has lots of room for accommodating many people. However, the staff stood around behind the counter, talking to each other while we were eating and no other new customers to attend to someone could have come out and swept up napkins and straw pieces, and food from the floor and wipe down the tables that all seem to be dirty along with straightening up the messy straw and garbage area. I was happy to see that nobody was on their phone while working. That tends to be a distraction also. read more

The worst coffee barista. The girl couldn't have been more rude. She bullied me, ignored my to-go order, and continued to help others and chatted with a friend of hers. Finally, she finished my drink and kept it behind the counter while talking to her friend, even though the drink was done. Even heard her talking about me with another employee. Best Starbucks drink by far in the area. They make the best matcha green tea latte with exact instructions I put in my order. No skimping on the powder or leave room in my Venti latte. One of the barista who made my drink always gets it right. Her name is Meg! She is awesome! The service is always excellent and lots of seating indoor/outdoor. I placed a mobile order and arrived one minute after it was supposed to be ready. When I walked in there was no one in line to order and no one waiting for any orders. There were seven employees behind the counter yet it took over three minutes for someone to acknowledge I was there and waiting and to come help me. My order had been ready the whole time. I mentioned this to the employee who gave me my order and said it was a little ridiculous that they had seven people, three of them were sitting doing nothing but talking to each other and no one could assist me previously. All she had to say was OK with no apology. I will never come back to this location and will give the Dunkin' a few doors down any future orders. read more

Terrible parking situation. The lot is small and you must back out of each spot. This wouldn't be a problem if there was ample room but that's not the case. Why Starbucks decided to put a store here when they could be across the street with plenty of parking is unknown. The employees are polite enough. One drink was correct. The other not so much. Every time I walk in, the staff greets me with a warm smile and makes me feel like I'm at home. The baristas remember my order and never fail to make my drink perfectly. They are amazing at making drinks with such precision and care. And of course, the coffee always tastes delicious - with no need to add any sugar or cream! There is no advantage to mobile ordering as it always takes 15-20 minutes to complete my order. On the past two visits, they have made me the wrong drink, adding even more time for a remake. So be forwarned y'all....if you mobile order in the morning, do it before you start your 30-minute workout, shower, and take the dog for a walk. Oh Hopkinton Starbucks, how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways: You never, ever seem to have what I ask for. Yet you always, always look at me like I'm an idiot for ordering something that is listed on the board as available. I feel like at least 30% of the time I end up being told that what I've requested is no longer available or is no longer on the menu. But...it's on the board...so don't look at me as if I've ordered a taco supreme. If it's on the board and you don't have it, it's not so surprising that I do not know that you don't have it. The parking is some of the worst I've ever experienced. The parking lot is a shitshow. And then you finally get a spot after getting flipped off by ten different soccer moms in SUVs, and you discover that you can only go in for 20 minutes max. And it takes 25 minutes just to get through the line. Some of the staff is great. Some are so incredibly flat and disinterested that I want to poke them with a stick just to get a reaction out of them. My name is Marisa. I can understand someone writing "Melissa," "Maria," or even "Mary" on my sandwich bag. But I'm confused as to how you got "Dave" out of this. I feel like this particular Starbucks is designed with the theme, "Get the f out." Maybe it is, since they know that parking is so sparse. It's just not welcoming, and if you want to sit in the outside area, be prepared to get blasted with deafening jazz music. I mean, seriously deafening. My ears were ringing after I left. I feel like an old cranky woman writing this review, especially since I'll be back in the morning for my nitro brew. I hate it here. This is a new standalone Starbucks in the area and I really wanted to like it. They made me a great decaf after the Starbucks in the Price Chopper down the street could not make me one. But the second time I went back for an venti iced mocha. The first drink came out tasting like vanilla instead of mocha. Ok they made me another one. Which was 1/3 full of plain ice at the top of the cup. Only 2/3 full of drink, so what they did was make me a grande and compensated for the lack of drink in the venti cup with ICE. I just stared incredulously at this and said I did not pay for plain ice...I would have just ordered a smaller size if you are going to top off my drink with ice. I have never seen this strangeness of a drink order in my whole life. So third time around it was made correctly. After waiting 15 minutes they finally have given me the actual drink I ordered!. And the parking lot is small and hard to navigate. So there is that. I may give them another chance but I won't be racing back there anytime soon. read more

I hate saying that because I'm sure they're great people, but they've been horribly trained and simply don't know how to handle a line of customers--even a line of 2 customers. So happy there is finally a stand alone Starbucks in this area. The others I have seen are in grocery stores. This location is very clean, open, and comfortable with outdoor seating. There is a separate wall cooler for sandwiches and what seems like loads of snacks and baked goods. More than I am used to seeing at Starbucks. The cashiers here are always friendly and helpful so I'm giving two stars for that and 9 out of 10 times coffee's are made correctly. But they have 10 people behind the counter making stuff and to get anyone to look up or acknowledge your existence is ridiculous its like the think we can't see them behind the plexiglass. I used mobile order today(not preferred way but they do offer good perks using it) and mobile orders take precedence over in store orders which I feel is wrong. So I arrived at the store 10 minutes after my mobile order was placed and I could see my order but it took 11 minutes to be asked by the barista what food I was waiting on I said I have a mobile order and it's right there but because the guy infront of me was waiting on food she assumed I was. If you're looking to purchase quality product at the hand of exceptional customer service then this is NOT the place to for you. My boyfriend and I visited this Starbucks location on Saturday, December 11th 2021 and our experience was questionable at best. Our encounter started off doubtful as we attempted to place a mobile order, but were unsuccessful in doing so as practically every menu item was marked as "Sold out at this store". We proceeded to enter the building so that we could place our order at the counter, at which point we were informed that they in fact were not sold out of the majority of their product, leaving us pleasantly surprised. We then confidently placed our order with the employee at the register and proceeded to pay for WHAT WE ORDERED, or so we thought... Once the transaction was completed, my boyfriend and I moved down the line towards the area where you wait for your food/drinks. A few minutes passed and one of the seemingly more experienced baristas called out to us, asking if we wanted the drink in her hand to be made iced as the sticker was placed on a hot cup. We responded "Yes" as we ordered BOTH of our drinks iced. Unfortunately a different barista was making my drink and It turns out that they weren't rung in correctly, but at this point in time we hadn't been made aware of that so we continued to wait. My boyfriend was politely handed his drink, no problem. A few more minutes had passed and this was when I realized a different barista, a barista in training, was making my drink which appeared to be made hot despite the fact that I ordered an iced beverage with VANILLA SWEET CREAM COLD FOAM, that I witnessed the barista pour onto the hot drink... I am a very flexible and patient person, especially with customer service employees as I was a Starbucks barista myself and can empathize with the fact that mistakes happen. When the barista approached us and placed the drink on the counter, not even bothering to call out a name, I spotted my name, on the cup sticker, (spelled incorrectly) I said "I'm so sorry, but I ordered that drink iced" The barista, not even stopping what she is doing to look at me, puts her head down to avoid eye contact and mumbled under her breath, "It doesn't say iced on the sticker, if you want it for free I can't make it for you" and walked away to make a drink for another customer... I was APPALLED at this response. I was not asking for a free drink, I was POLITELY asking for my drink that I paid for to be made correctly.... Needless to say I will not be returning to that Starbucks anytime soon. read more

I agree with prior reviewers that this location is at least clean, but that's not a terribly high standard. One of the other reviewers wished that there were more couches - I'll second that, but with the caveat that there aren't any couches, just 4 hard, small, vinyl upholstered chairs. A bit earlier, another customer commented to me, unprompted (complete stranger) that the chairs "don't fit me for some reason". The reason is that they are small and stink. I've noticed a trend in more recent Starbucks to go with such furnishings as well as other aspects of design that make their stores more utilitarian, less cozy (notwithstanding the Hopkinton "memorabilia" on the walls so remarkably lacking in personality given how full of personality the twon is -- a it's been around for 300 years, and the best they could come up with was a small faux antique map on one wall, and a tiny bulletin board that only has the space for one posting on it that's been there since the store opened). I think they are trying to discourage people from spending too much time in the store. The effect is sort of an upmarket dunkin donuts. Hopkinton doesn't need more dunkin donuts. It needs a real coffeeshop, and one that -- unlike the independent coffeeshops in town -- is open for more than a couple hours a day. A big thumbs down to this further widget of a store from the corporate goliath. At least they have better hours than the indies, but so does the starbucks in the grocery store down the street.... Another complaint that seems pretty universal to all starbucks -- they start obtrusive clean up about a half hour before close, complete with using a very loud vacuum. Any starbucks I've been to around close has that, so I guess making the environment increasingly noxious as closing approaches must be a corporate policy (actually, this location is a bit better than others in that regard, but still pretty annoying). read more

Having a Starbucks right across the street from our office was definitely very exciting to see! However the faces that work at this Starbucks are not excited to see their customers at all. I have been into this Starbucks on many occasions and not once have I been greeted professionally. I most recently went in around 9am for a coffee and noticed the woman In front of me had a complaint and the Starbucks girl looked pissed off. Now it was my turn to place my order and that same girl who was pissed off...I think her name is Jill turned her back to me and started washing her hands. She didn't even acknowledge that I was next in line standing there. Her coworker stood next to her filling coffee beans and complaining about the previous customers situation. All while I am still standing there waiting to be looked at. The line is now getting longer and the Jill is now drying her hands still has not looked at anyone in line. Finally after a good 4 minutes the Starbucks girl with the coffee beans finished what she was doing and took my order. Not in anyway was there an apology for making us wait and she didn't even say good morning how can I help you, all it was was "what can I get started for you"? I can tell you what this Starbucks needs to get started is priority of hiring friendly workers who want to have amazing customer service skills and represent Starbucks brand the way its reputation has been. I wanted this Starbucks to be a very good experience but I feel this 2,100 square foot stand-alone Starbucks is a waste. There are just too few parking spaces. Starbucks should have purchased (or leased if that is the situation) the entire lot for their store and to get the parking spaces it needs. As it is, Starbucks has to share the lot with Unibank (I wonder which business gets more traffic....) and a small Verizon and Nails store. Starbucks is operating with one hand tied behind its back. The only solution I can see is for Starbucks to purchase whatever local land they can that is near this store, pave it, and turn it into parking. read more

We live close by this particular location, and every time we go the customer service gets worst then the last. I don't understand if the staff are not properly trained or if they are being forced to work. Somehow we always end up with an incorrect beverage and no apology.
