So cute the wooden spoon! The team is so cute, they write little messages!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a Starbucks fan. If I was a millionaire, I think I'd drink Starbucks everyday...but since that's not the case, I only drink it when I get gift cards LOL I really like this Starbucks. They're located in the CPB building which is on the corner of Alakea and King St. I order ahead of time and my drink is always ready when I arrive. The staff is always very friendly and I've never had any bad experiences. There is the pick up window you can walk up to for this location but it's only for certain hours. Otherwise you need to walk in. I don't go to a lot of other locations but I like that this one has the board to say when your order is ready. You don't have to stand there awkwardly to check and see if your drink is ready.

Example of their cool order status display board. Look for your name to see if your order is ready!

No menu on display. Use your Starbucks app! No parking. Why would anyone drive to this Starbucks when there are many other neighborhood Starbucks shops? This Starbucks Pickup is clearly for the Downtown workforce with its Mon-Fri 5am-5pm schedule. Customers come here for reliability and predictability, already with their order placed through the Starbucks mobile app, and reasonable pricing, not for "quality" handcrafted coffee. The location is so convenient, a large screen off the side of the coffee bar lists every mobile order customer's name, and whether their orders are ready or still in the queue. I'd say the baristas at this Starbucks are some of the most hardworking, patient morning employees, pumping out countless orders first thing in the morning. Even though this is just a "pickup" location, it has plenty of modern, clean tables and seating, so customers can relax here after picking up their mobile order. I love my coffee, but I'm not gonna lie, sometimes getting to work on time and being a good employee to my coworkers and customers take priority over waiting for that perfect cup of joe lol. If the coffee tastes good and has caffeine to keep me up through the day, I'm fine with that! Quick, predictable, reliable, and centrally and conveniently located inside Central Pacific Bank at the corner of King and Alakea. During the weekends or while on vacation, definitely support local cafes instead. This Starbucks Pickup does the job during the work week though!

I wonder what this is used for.

This is the oddest Starbucks that I've come across. Partially because it shares it's location with a bank, and a strange meeting room with clear walls in the middle of it, but I digress. I came here, ordered my cold drink and it arrived. It was good and the straws here, although not plastic, aren't as lame as the straws here on the mainland. When I first came in, there weren't a lot of people but the place filled up. I still go quick and breezy services. I also was able to plot out my trip, another failed adventure, and had plenty of time and space. Waiting outside was quite fun and if in the area, I'd definitely come here afterwards.

Shucks... I tried taking a photo of the cashier but, this customer stepped in front of her.

Several months ago, one of our favorite Starbucks on Alakea Street in Downtown Honolulu closed. We were disheartened because this location was so convenient for us as we regularly walk into Downtown on our way to Chinatown and would stop here to grab refreshing iced Teavana teas or Frappuccinos on our return home. Well, as months passed and the renovation of Central Pacific Bank's Main Branch progressed, we saw a sign pop up along King Street announcing a new Starbucks location. Thanks to fellow Yelper, Arynn I, for posting her review about the opening of this new location in Tidepools@CPB that prompted us to check out this site which was still hidden behind construction barriers. We found out about this Starbucks Pickup is that it's the first of its kind in Hawai'i. What makes it different from other Starbucks Cafés is that the baristas are behind an enclosed kitchen space and whether you place your order and pay via mobile or in person, your order status will show up on a display board in Tidepools@CPB. You can wait for your name to be displayed in Tidepools' comfortable co-work space or if you're here before Tidepools@CPB opens, you can pick up your order from the convenient pickup window from the outside of the bank along King Street. Social distancing is the new normal so there are floor markers which direct you toward either the cashier or pick up area. The number of tables and seating options are currently at 50% until the pandemic restrictions are lifted. We've placed our orders via the Starbucks mobile app as well as in-person and haven't waited any longer than 5 minutes. If you choose to visit in-person, there is a cashier who stands behind Plexiglas barriers who will assist you in placing your order if you don't have the app or she'll even assist you in signing up for their app so that you can start collecting the Starbucks reward points. Service is friendly and efficient. I think this is the same crew from their former Alakea Street location. This Starbucks Pickup operates Monday - Friday 5 am - 4:30 pm. Closed on Saturday and Sunday.

So excited to check out the new location!

Welcome to the new Alakea & King location! So nice to see the same staff! Glad it opened cause it's been exciting to see it being built! New locale entrance is on King Street side and immediately to the right when you come into the automatic double doors. There were a few tables, really spread out and a high top table with 6 chairs. I remember how busy the old location was so this will be great when it's packed in the wee hours of the morning rush. I came after lunch so hardly anyone there! I should have taken more pictures but I was on a time crunch. I love the bright area and the look is so different. Baristas are behind a wall but you can still see them through arched windows. The sides of the window say "Aloha" and "Mahalo". The giant screen was readable from the last table and will show status of both mobile and walk in orders. Awesome. Also had stickers on the floor for distancing. I cannot wait to come back to get this place some business! It was nice to see Jimi, who was the shift manager back when I rode the bus and came to get my morning coffee once a week. See you soon!

Met one of my bff's for quick coffee fix and quick bite on her day off, she works and lives in downtown, I've always wanted to check out this new Starbucks Pick Up and Aloha Beer Co which is located in the newly renovated Central Pacific Bank Main Branch. First of all, I almost felt as if I was in a Waikiki Hotel because of the Tidepool theme and bright colors. The bank doesn't even feel like your traditional bank, but we're not here for that lol. First, we ordered our coffee on right, then moved to the left side where Aloha Beer is to look at the food menu. Limited food selection, sandwiches, salads, but we chose steak fries and pepperoni flat bread. Coffee was ready in a few of minutes. Later, an employee at Aloha dropped our food including napkins and fork right at our table. Side note, I've noticed CPB and many other corporations have completely rebranded their logo, catchy commercials, with updated marketing, same with Starbucks. While I'm still getting to know all the different breweries in Honolulu, majority of them have a very hipster vibe attracting the young crowd. Any downtown can be confusing if you're not familiar with the streets. Parking entrance is on S. King. You'd need validation at CPB, if you're a customer. Here's a tip, HH is 2pm-closing at Aloha Brew, free parking from 4-8pm. Or there's street meter parking on Richards St. I'm sold on these guys!

Strawberry Funnel Frappuccino and Power Bowl

Business is located in Central Pacific Bank. It is on the left of Aloha Beer Labs. I was there last week where I met my friend for lunch. Yesterday, I ordered online via the Starbucks app for this location. When I got there, there was a digital board that has people's name whose orders were ready for pickup. Paper straws for sippie cups and wooden fork for my salad. My order was power bowl and strawberry funnel cake frappucino. It is too bad there is not a closer Starbucks close to where I work by Queens Hospital.

Have to order via app (or get stink eye). Also, no bathroom access in the CPB (Tidepools) building, even for customers.

They don't have any restrooms at this Starbucks. They only let you use the locked restroom if you're banking at CPB.

A cozy corner in the heart of Kaimuki :)…read more I happened to find this place when I was searching for cafes around the area, and it did not disappoint. Honey Matcha Latte is my current favorite: just the right balance of matcha, milk and honey :) The vibes are so nice. You'll be greeted by the green green plants (which are actually for sale!), and then grab a drink down the hall. I also like how they have a "Sip & Chill Zone" where no ipads or computer work are allowed, so you can just relax and talk story. This is my favorite spot because I can just do some people watching by the window as I sip my matcha latte. It's a nice place to detach from the hustle even just for a while.

They have small tables and cubicle-style setups with charging ports, so it's easy to settle in, sip, and work if you want. I came mainly to unwind and try a few of their matcha drinks. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. A fun touch is the cameras they place on the tables so you can snap photos of your drink, yourself, friends, or whatever. Just know they may post some of the pics on their social media from time to time--it's a cute way to bring the community together. Hours are short, so check their socials before heading over. Overall, I love the aesthetic of the café and the matcha is decent for a quick fix. I'd definitely come back.

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
