Went here for the first time yesterday. The floor was sticky, I understand that people spill drinks, but there were footprints all through the sticky parts. That just showed that ihad been sticky for a good while. Then, the pick-up counter was smeared with various colors that had dried, showing that there had been multiple drinks served that had been over-filled, dripped down the sides of the cups & not been wiped off. Within an hour of getting my drink, my stomach began to turn & I spent the rest of the day & night in bed or getting sick. I hadn't eaten or drunk anything else, except water, before I got my drink. Called today & spoke with Lisa, she was the Supervisor on duty. She stated that she was off yesterday (5-28-16) & that the Manager is out on vacation. She apologized & assured me that this is not the norm for her store. I think I'll give them a week or so to clean & go over washing hands, then I'll try again. I'm giving 2 stars because of the way Lisa handled my call, or it would have been a 1 star. read more

Poor attitudes. Wait time is usually long. For Venti they give small straws unless you ask for a large straw and they don't offer carry trays or drink stoppers for large orders. Attitudes probably stem from management. read more

Whoever runs this Starbucks needs to upgrade on providing better CUSTOMER SERVICE. My hubby and I came here three times and on all drive thru visits was horrible we had to wait 15-20mins for our order. I have lived down the street from this Starbucks for years. I have visited countless times hoping that maybe things will be different, but it never fails. Whenever I go to this particular starbucks my drink never comes out right, even though I spend time with the cashier telling them exactly what my drink is and even with confirmation from the cashier that my drink is exactly how I want it, somehow it's screwed up at the end. My drink for the record is a iced peppermint white mocha with no whip and being a former employee of this coffee franchise, I know how easy it is to make compared to the exotic variety of drinks you can get from this establishment. So I feel major improvement is needed for this store and I can honestly say I'm done giving them chances and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Well, they remodeled the building but they forgot to remodel the staff. Still consistently horrible service, as if they all have their heads up a collective starbuckian ass. This use to be a really good starbucks but in the last two months its gone down hill - I used to go here all of the time I would stop there every day before I would go to work so I could get my coffee super convenient not having to get out of my car I can just go through the drive-through but for the past two months every time I have gone there I've had to turn around and go to a different Starbucks and repay and have them remake my drink because for the past two months the Starbucks has messed it up every single time nobody reads back the order when you're going through the drive-through so you don't know your order is messed up until you get it and then if they have to sit there and remake it now you're holding up the line which spikes my anxiety so i cant do that - they use to have a good crew - i dont know what happened but there definitely needs to be some retraining - i use to manage a starbucks i know how its supposed to be run and this location is going down hill quickly read more

Unsanitary handling of the drink cups. Don't drink off the lip of your cups! They hold and grab all cups by their lips. Drinks and cakes are good but this store doesn't have the best handling system. read more

It's amazing how one store can be so different from another. The drinks are so much better at this store and each barista confirms decaf or not, which is important to my wife. Everyone is always very nice and full of smiles. I pass two stores to come to this one. read more

Unfortunately this is the worst Starbucks I've been to. Even though I keep giving this location chances they find a way to always get things wrong. The staff is rude for one, I have had orders done so wrong its as if they were not even listening. If that's not bad enough when I go back to let them know my order was received incorrect the staff gives you attitude. Order was wrong. Chai latte with skim milk turned into chai latte with soy. Salted caramel mocha was VERY mocha, nothing else. Not great.

These baristas here completely ignore the drink and customer standards. The drinks that they make about 75% of the time taste terrible. The cups pile up and they avoid the customers that are patiently waiting. When they decide that they should probably start making drinks after there is about six or seven cups, they ignore the quality standards as well. When shots are done pulling, you have a certain amount of seconds before they die and become bitter, but they just let them sit there. Next time you order here, remind them to make drinks the way they were trained to and nothing less. Oh, and remind them what the sizes are supposed to be and how the cup should be full. read more

Came in today for an iced coffee. No sweeteners nothing special added just a plain iced coffee. Simple right? Well I waited almost 15 min INSIDE. I thought going in would have been a bit faster but NO. The only reason I am giving a generous three stars is for the blonde that was making my drink. She was the only barista making drinks with a line in both drive thru and inside and she was ROCKING it!!!! When she had finally called out my drink the barista was very apologetic and said that one of the machines were broken as to why it was taking so long. Normally I would have complained like everyone else because the wait time was ridiculous. Maybe if they had more kind baristas behind the counters like her, this place wouldn't have such crappy service. I think her name was ashley? Or Amber? Not sure.....her name tag was smudged....either way I applaud her!!!!!! read more

so I don't usually use yelp and the review I've written have been as a result of great service. The experience I had at this Starbucks on 4/23 around 3PM was so different from any other Starbucks that I felt compelled to write a review if nothing else so in case the manager or someone with some authority power can perhaps teach/train their staff. I'm a frequent Starbucks customer in San Francisco where the service is beyond top notch. On my way to Sacramento I stopped here there were 2 customers sitting at tables and no one in line behind me or in front and ordered a white chocolate mocha venti and asked what brand of green tea they used she said green tea, I asked if it was a blend without looking up the young woman said "green tea Duh", so I asked again if it was plain green tea or it if it anything else in it, she proceeded to yell at another young woman asking what's in the green tea the other one just said "I don't know tea?" I then explained that in some green tea blends there's jasmine which I can't drink, I told her the green tea served at my local Starbucks is Zen mint green tea. She then said in the snarkiest most annoying tones "If you can't drink it then I suggest you don't order it." Nonetheless I ordered it since I knew my husband would drink it if it did have jasmine and I was just hoping it was the mint tea. The store was empty there was only one other person that ordered a few minutes after I did, however there was a drive thru customers. It took about 15 minutes before my name was called, I was watching from a table and saw that a drink was sitting near one of the sinks. When they called my name they handed my ice tea and couldn't find the other drink eventually giving me the drink that had been place near the sink 15 minutes prior. When I got back to my car and handed him his drink, although it was labeled white mocha, it was something else caramel tasting I understand they are young and we all make mistakes and when we are young things don't seem very serious, but when it comes to food allergies the consequences can be drastic, and their mistakes and attitude can have drastic consequences. Even though fast food jobs and coffee house jobs may on the surface appear menial they are not. It's a really tough job and I have great respect for those who work in such establishments but these 4 young girls need better leadership and better training. read more

I like Starbucks but this Starbucks has issues... Honestly, I travel a lot as a airline crew member and a part time Logistician for the state and I frequent many Starbucks in California and many major city/airports in the US and abroad. Let me start with the good; they have a drive thru, they keep the place clean, and they are the closest to where I live. I will also say some of the employees are nice some of the time other times I get eye rolls or blank stares. They seem to screw up my order about half the time. Usually I get a hot when I order iced, I do notice that the person with the headset taking orders is usually multi-tasking when taking an order. It's how I know if my drink will be messed up. The last time I went through I ordered a venti iced soy latte with 3 pumps of syrup, that's my usual about 90% of the time. They gave me a venti hot one. I declined it, they remade it and gave me a grande iced one. I told them it was venti and please just add more soy milk. Well they put 2 more shots in it because the color was darker than normal so at that point I had already received 2 eye rolls so I took it and left. $6+ drink and it ended up in the trash. I have had to trash other drinks from here because of quality but that was just the latest incident from this Starbucks. Avoid this one if you can or take your chances 50/50 in the drive thru. Hopefully they will open a Dutch Bros. nearby making this place obsolete. read more

Worst Customer Service Ever! I will never spend money at this location again and I advised others not to spend one cent there either. Don't go there if you want to go inside to order. Myself and three other customers waited in line at the counter with no acknowledgement that we were there to make a purchase. I observed several workers at the drive thru window very busy. However I also saw four workers goofing off telling jokes to each other and going back and forth to the back room. If you ignore your customers, you company looses money. read more

I have been given the wrong drink a few times and when I brought them back, they have taken the drinks and instead of making a new one at no charge, they told me they would give a 25 cent discount on the replacement drink. Me and my husband start our weekends with a morning run to this Starbucks every weekend. But this morning again, we asked for two Fraps one with 2 add shots and the other with 4 and neither had the extra shots we paid for. We were handed our cups in the drive-thru and the labels on them were both correct but I asked the girl in the window if she was sure the add shots were in because they both were very light (the more shots you add the darker it gets). Considering we come every weekend and always order the same thing we're used to what it looks like. She reassured me they were right with an extremely annoyed look. Half way through our drinks we knew they weren't right because there was no taste of espresso whatsoever just way too much sugar/sweet. If it wasn't so far and the fact we go through Drive thru as it's easiest for us in the morning we'd easily hand them back and ask nicely to have them remade. But this keeps happening at least 3 or 4 times this month and by the time we realize it's not right we're too far gone. It's a shame because this Starbucks used to always get our order right which is why we came here but looks like we need to find a new one. read more

I travel throughout California for work, and I count on my visits to Starbucks to be a treat. I always know when I stop in - no matter what city I am in - that I am in my happy place when I walk through the doors. This visit to this location in Hercules, CA was a disappointment. The one star I gave you was for the fact that the coffee tasted good - not as hot as usual, but it was OK. I was not greeted by any of the 4 or 5 people working there, despite the fact that with the exception of one person, they were standing idle. The gentleman who took my order yawned - he didn't speak, he just yawned and then he did speak when he repeated my order. Not one smile. What happened to these people? The store was not clean - the trash was overflowing, and every counter had coffee spills, crumbs, straw wrappers (people, please throw your trash away - do you do that at home?). It was so atypical of a Starbucks experience. Why were folks just standing around, with a messy store? The barista was talking the entire time to a friend - never stopped talking, but she did make my latte ... plopped it down on the counter - missing the chance to hand it to me with even a tiny smile or word of thanks. A little eye contact would be nice here! I left, thinking that I will not likely be back to this location, and made a mental note to send in this review because apparently, management needs help in this location. read more

This store doesn't sell coffee to weary travelers after three. I have been coming to this Starbucks for years and I am highly disappointed from the customer service I have received from this location. The only person who seems to enjoy working here is the older gentleman. He greets me when I come in, and thanks me when I leave. I very much appreciate this. I wish that the other baristas had the same amount of manners. I am fine with waiting in line or waiting for my drink, but I am not okay with standing around waiting without being greeted or reassured that someone will be with me in a moment. I should not have to wait around while the employees seem to not care that I am at the register waiting for my order to taken. I told the girl in the front about this, and she seemed to not care one bit. All she said was "okay." No apology, nothing. I do not appreciate spending my money at a business that does not seem to care about their customers. One of the worst starbucks drive thru customer service we've ever been to. It's friday Jan. 19th, 8:05 pm and my daughter ordered three drinks. The lady at the drive thru was already giving her an attitude thru the ordering monitor. When we got to the window she gave my daughter a WTF look when she asked her is she can charge the $10.35 off her starbucks card and will give her the remaining 10 cents that is due( $10.45 order). The next incident was regarding her only having one small slice of strawberry for my veinte strawberry acai refresher, so my daughter asked her what other drinks do you have besides the acai, the blond lady at the window responded rudely and said we're talking about strawberries here. I wanted another drink because i want to get my money's worth. We just wanted to get out of there because she was pissing us off. The last issue was when we asked for a stopper for the hot tea we ordered , she sarcastically replied and asked - is there anything else you need? We requested for a sleeve for the tea, once again she gave us a bad and rude attitude saying she doubled the cup. I don't know what her problem is. If she isn't happy with her job she shouldn't be working at the window, because it's very bad for business. To the owner of this store, please put patient, pleasant people in the drive thru window to avoid bad comments like this.
