Well, well, what do we have here? Starbucks, the Coffee Lords, just got a brewtiful makeover and I'm here for it! They've ditched their old "college student who's had three espressos too many" look for something more "casual-business professional who mildly appreciates art". And, oh boy, does it look good. It's like stepping into an Instagram influencer's dream, I half expected a barista to offer to take my picture. Tables are spaced apart generously but not so far that you can't eavesdrop on the person deciding if they should switch to decaf (trust me, buddy, never go decaf). The renovations have also included an expanded pastry display which is pure evil genius. One look at those nutella-filled croissants and your "just a skinny latte" plan is toast. And the coffee? Still the strong, reliable friend who never lets me down. Well-roasted, perfect temperatures, and consistent taste across all branches. Though if I may suggest, a new comfy couch wouldn't hurt. This is my frequent Starbucks. Great service, as the baristas are always on their game to take care of their customer base. This location has professional hustlers that take of their business. The only complaint I have is there is no trash can after the drive through to discard garbage (stopper/sleeves), but no other Starbucks have this in place either. read more

I wish I could give 2.5 stars! Customer service is excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ample, free parking a plus. Located on a major commute route, so it can get CRAZY busy, but most folks seem to use the drive-through (not my fave). The reason it's not higher is ... it's spotty. I mean, if you go during commute hours, you can wait a LONG time in store for your drink - even if you order ahead via mobile app. I get that they are trying to rush orders for the drive-through, but that's just a bit unfair. I mean ... not to demean anyone, but the drive-through customers are contributing to carbon emissions, and really you can't walk 20 yards from your parked vehicle? Why are you getting preferential treatment?!? ::end rant:: Anyway, they are always well-stocked with all the usual Sbux fare, and they get my tall, iced mocha right every.single.time. UPDATE: So, I've noticed lately the customer service tends to be the best in the morning and declines as the day goes on. I typically go through the drive-thru, and the last three times I went it wasn't as great. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but the customer service I got recently was more along the lines of what I would expect from McDonald's: bars minimum, enough to get you out of their face. So I'll have to make this one quick... So I came here yesterday as usual, got my drink. Went to WalMart, got gas and went home. All before 6 am! Got home, knocked my entire coffee over onto my white desk, magazines, stationary everywhere. Read my horoscope, said I was going to spill my to go cup on the ground. Lie to you not. Didn't have time to go back to Starbucks because we have a really long commute and adding that 1/2 hour would not have worked. Called the store later in the morning after drop-off and getting settled at work, Chris answered. Told him what happened, "Hey went there this morning, there was nothing wrong with my drink. It was delicious, only I spilled the entire #*+*^}^*!!! thing. He immediately clearly grabbed a pass on log (IYKYN) and started writing down my name and drink and time when I'll be there today to get it. I get to Starbucks this am, Jack is at the drive-thru and he knows exactly who I am, says my name correctly AND gets my drink right. I'm literally sitting in the parking lot writing this review and haven't even had a sip of coffee yet. This was a great experience from beginning to end. This yelp review is long overdue. I have patronized this location since it opened. It's proximity to Fort Meade makes it very convenient. I used to go to the one located on base but it's cleanliness deteriorated so much I didn't feel comfortable going back. To my surprise one of my favorite baristas (Scarlett) transferred to this one when it opened so that's even more of a reason to stay. I don't normally go out of my way to write a review but, this location has continued to go above and beyond my expectations. First, my custom mobile orders are always made perfectly whereas the Laurel location seemed to be lazy in making the drinks. Then, today when my husband placed our order, he didn't realize he chose the wrong location. The staff at this location was so nice and offered to remake the drinks for us so we would not have to drive to the other location. This a drive thru location, which is really helpful when you don't want to get out of the car. It is a large, open space with plenty of seating area. The staff is cheerful and polite. Our drinks are always on point. Whenever we are around here, we have stop because we like it here. No comparison to the locations on Arundel Mills, the three of them!!! We love SB!! read more

First let me say I am a HUGE Starbucks fan and Gold member who has enjoyed this wonderful elixer at multiple locations throughout the country. This location is the worst I have ever visited. The customer service is lacking and the atmosphere is cold and robotic. I have visited this location at different times and days due to the convenience and in hopes that the poor service would be a fluke. Unfortunately not. This morning I placed a mobile order. Upon arriving I sat and waited 10 additional minutes only to be given an empty cup??? I stood there befuddled for a second before the barista told me the decaf bar was broken. Then she went on to say if you would like anything else you have to wait. There are mobile orders in front of you so I asked for a refund of which I was told to call corporate. WTH?? This was just the latest incident of multiple incorrectly made orders and rude behavior. Oh yeah I will definitely contact corporate - to file a formal complaint. So happy that this Starbucks is up and running. I was pumped when I saw that they were building one in the area. I have never been a huge fan of coffee, but I am strangely a huge fan of Starbucks. The smell of coffee brewing anywhere else in the world does nothing for me, but the sight of a Starbucks sends me into a frenzy (in a good way), and now I pass one every time I leave my house. Which I have been sure to take advantage of since they opened. Which they did just in time for the fall flavors. The staff here is very helpful, and patient as I test out new drinks from my Starbucks secret menu app, and are very helpful with making suggestions when I want to try a new item. They are fast and efficient, and so far have done one heck of a job. They seems as if they were more then prepared for the opening of this location. read more

I was so thrilled when I saw the green balloons and realized they had opened a Starbucks at this location! I immediately felt like I needed to reward myself lol so I went over and jumped in the drive thru. The staff was knowledgeable and helped me choose a drink I had never tried before. The caramel apple spice was my choice. It was yummy but a little too sweet for me, I discovered the more I drank. I'll admit that I go out of my way sometimes to visit this Starbucks. It is close to my house and my old office but honestly I go here because the partners and the atmosphere are fantastic. Whether I visit at 5:30 am or 5:30 pm I'm always greeted by a smiling barista looking to brighter my day with my favorite beverage. I finally realized it was time to write a review yesterday. I'm on crutches just three weeks after having extensive hip surgery. Every barista I interacted with went out of their way to accommodate me as I juggled my bag, drinks, and crutches. Every once in a while my flat white isn't quite what I'm used to but hey no big deal. My go to breakfast is the bacon and Gouda which is always good. Coffee is great and staff are awesome but I order the same thing every single day......heck I probably got around 600 points on the new app I go there so much. I do have one problem and it's them listening to what I order. So I always order just like this. " venti americano with absolutely no room and made with long shots". Pretty easy right? Ha well I think 1% of the time they fill it to the top and the other 99% of the time it's got so much room in it. Just fill it up to the top especially when I say "ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM PLEASE". Lol. I did get upset the other day too when I ordered my Americano as usual and pulled up to window to get handed an iced Americano. Then she says "well I thought you wanted iced since it's hot out". Please don't think for the customers. I like hot coffee and always will and if someone doesent say "iced" then don't assume iced. Ask if your uncertain but don't assume. Got my coffee this morning and they gave me a oddly shaped cut, (the lid would not stay on) when I asked for a new cup they acted quite put off, very bothered I asked for a cup that the lid would not keep falling off of. On this particular morning, they were packed. The guy at the register was very friendly. I honestly think he was slowing things down by talking to people, but he gave everyone the same courtesy. I'm very loyal to this Starbucks since I live in Fort Meade it's an easy stop on the way to work. I stop by two to three times a week. I've noticed that this Starbucks is very inconsistent though. I've tried getting a sweetened black ice tea three times and each time it wrong. Today I went and it was my turn to order at the drive thru and I sat... and sat. Finally a voice came over asking if anyone had taken my order. No! That's why I'm still sitting here. I tried again to get the tea and this time I don't even know what the drink is. It tastes like a lime refresher and definitely doesn't resemble black tea at all. I'm very disappointed because I love Starbucks and I should've asked about the drink but thought it might taste like tea. But tastes like lemonade or lime refresher which I usually like but not this time!!!!! I'll stick with my usual latte next time. read more

This location makes a mean Chai however they can be very slow. On several occasions I have placed orders vintage Starbucks app and had to wait 5-8 minutes when my order should have been ready. If you find yourself waiting please stop a barista and ask about your online order. They tend to miss them when it's busy. read more
