This Starbucks location is ridiculous. I go to Starbucks literally every single day and this is the first time I have been REFUSED water. Every visit consists of me purchasing a minimum of 2 drinks when I have the kids with me (for myself and a teenager) since the younger ones do not consume caffeine or sugar, which results into me grabbing them waters as well on the sides of my 2 drink orders (because who wants a dry mouth, right?). Well apparently their "new rule" is that you can only ask for water with a purchase, but...isn't me ordering stuff a purchase? Apparently not because the person handling drive thru today said a water can only come with another drink if purchased. Wtf? So you're telling me I have to make 4 drink purchases, 2 of which would have been thrown away, JUST so I can have water? That didn't make sense to me to waste money for that, so then I asked if I could purchase the 2 additional water and was denied that request as well. It's completely ridiculous, a waste of my time, and never again would I stop at this location knowing every single other location around them makes more sense and knows the actual correct policy that ANY purchase is a paying customer whereas these people are REFUSING requests FROM their paying customers. I hope this review warns every other loyal Starbucks lovers ahead of time before they waste their time, get disappointed, and feel they are denied service as a paying customer. read more

I'm 37 years old, & I have never been treated like this a day in my life. When did employees stop greeting customers & asking the customer what they can help with ? I just left this establishment doing a DoorDash, & when I tell you not one employee greeted me. There were 6 people in there, there was no line. They deliberately ignored me, & I stood there for at least 5 minutes waiting on this order. I don't know if it's because I was the only black woman, but nobody smiled, greeted, or asked me if I was there for a pickup or anything. This is very sad, & disgusting. read more

I ordered a Venti ice vanilla blonde espresso latte with vanilla cold cream foam, my order said it was ready on the app and I got there to pick it up and the customers that were walking in after me were getting their drinks even though they got there after me. Three out of the staff members were talking while there was only one person making a drink. I paid for my drink and left and the cold foam on top tasted like soapy water and the drink is disgusting! Very busy drive through, which is great for business. I guess that is why they have 5 or 6 employees, since they are very busy... I ordered venti medium roast. 10 mins later I sat at the table. They have 10 or 15 tables, but sitting inside is closed due to covid. I sat at the 1st table I saw. Immediately somebody came to me to say it was for employees only. You have 15 open tables????!!!! 15 mins later i asked about my order, which is just pour in the cup and go. They pointed to a coffee cup, saying my order was there waiting for me this whole time. I was surprised at the slow service. There were enough staff there wandering around and talking to be on top of orders. The one girl pulled the tickets off and set them on the machine. Three baristas looked at them as they strolled by. Finally one girl made my order because I had been standing there so long. read more

My husband ordered a Carmel machiattio before he could put his card away Landon was on it handing my husband his drink. This may be the closest Starbucks to Pensacola Beach (or that I know of) and it's a pretty good one. It's located near a quaint, neighborhood Walmart and have a good amount of parking. Inside is updated and the employees are friendly. I questioned the barista how the new iced hazelnut mocha coconut milk macchiato was and they said to trust them, and order it. I had a free reward in my account and they hooked me up with, of course, a Venti iced hazelnut mocha coconut milk macchiato. It was amazing - my new fave. read more

There are so many different and better options now that it's to give 5 stars for the drinks at any Starbucks. Just like any other coffee shop, the service is hit or a miss but at times better and different options at other coffee shops. Went to the gulf breeze Starbucks this morning and ordered the same thing I order at every other Starbucks in Pensacola. When I got there, the lady was having trouble hearing me over the speaker, so I had to repeat myself a couple of time. No big deal. Or so I thought. I guess this upset her and when I got to the drive through they handed me my drink and napkins for my coffee cake. The napkins we literally balled up. I just put them aside cuz I wasn't sure why they were like that. Then they hand me my coffee cake and I sat it in my seat. I opened it down the road and it was completely crumbled. I called and asked to speak to a a manger which some kid named Kyle said he was. So I said okay great. I just explained what happened and said I was unsure what I did to upset them so much and he said well we can give you a free one. I said I was already back in Pensacola and wasn't as concerned w a free one and just wanted to make sure it was addressed with the employee. He said "well ma'am the paper towels sometimes just ball up by themselves and the coffee cake can fall apart" .... On Sunday, I mobile ordered @Starbucks in Gulf Breeze. After waiting over 20 minutes for my beverage, I mentioned to Spencer, the barista that my order had not come up. They were slammed and I just thought it was taking longer. Spencer politely explained that mobile orders were turned off and that my order had likely gone to another location. In all of the madness, Spencer stopped what he was doing and made my drink. I was so embarrassed and horrified that I hadn't noticed the change of location for my order. Spencer was so kind and gracious and that is only one of a million reasons why I love Gulf Breeze Starbucks! read more

Best Starbucks in the Panhandle! Look, I know that Starbucks is a chain and that, for the most part, each store serves the same items. I also know that Starbucks is not a 5 star coffee shop. That being said, it's important to note that my 5 star rating is based solely on the constant, phenomenal customer service my husband and I have received for the past 6+ years. 1. Since the introduction of the chip in credit cards, most Starbucks have me place my chip reader in the slot and then have me take it out once it starts to beep. Here, I don't have to worry about that because the person in drive-thru takes my card and inserts it for me. I must be clear in stating that I don't need this to happen, but that extra-out-of-their-way customer service stands out and makes me feel special. 2. Deanna is seriously the best barista at any Starbucks chain you will ever go to. She knows all the hidden, off the menu, items and her customer service is unrivaled. She has gotten me to try different items and if I don't like it, she never charges and makes me something else. If you visit inside, you will notice all the awards she has received. Customer service doesn't stop with Deanna. There is a British speaking women, and two males that usually work the drive-thru and they are always a treat as well. I am ashamed to state that I don't remember anyone's names from drive-thru or from inside the establishment, but rest assured they are all superb. 3. Whenever someone takes too long in drive-thru or if someone is really mean to the person in drive-thru, I usually get my drink for free. This is not to be confused with sitting in my car for 10 minutes, waiting for my drink, and expecting it to be comped. I am not sure what the time limit is for a free beverage, but it starts from the moment I order, until I pay. This does not happen often, and it is never expected, but it is always a nice gesture and once again, another way of making me feel special. Lastly, to the person (Will A.) who rated this a one star, I am not sure what you ordered that equates to one cup = $7.00. Last time I checked, a cup = 8oz (tall is 12oz) and nothing on their menu is $7 for a tall. Also, I expect that at every Starbucks, the drinks to taste the same since the chain is using the same recipes. It would be foolish for the drinks to taste differently so I am puzzled as to why anyone would think the drink would taste better or worse at another Starbucks. read more

I am a Starbucks barista, so I am generally pretty understanding of mistakes. That being said, I have had more bad experiences at this location than good. Today takes the cake. I mobile ordered a venti iced chai, which if you didn't know is just 5 pumps chai and then milk. That's it. I get mine with soy. Today it was chunky and sour. I called and this is the conversation: Me: *explains everything I just said above* Her: you probably just got the bottom of the box of soy Me: well I work at Starbucks and have never had soy come out like this, much less attempted to serve it. Her: well you shouldn't be shaking your soy milk She did offer to remake it, but I don't have time to have them remake my drink every morning because they refuse to follow standards. This location needs to learn how to make the Starbucks drinks correctly. I have been there twice ordered a venti hot cocoa both times there was no whipped topping or choc. sauce on top and cup was only 2/3rds full. If I had wanted a grande I would have ordered a grande. If a product is advertised with whipped topping and choc. sauce then it should come with it. If a venti is ordered then a venti is what the customer should get! read more

Unfortunately, the bad experiences seem to have become the norm here. One cannot order through the mobile app and pick up a coffee, as the doors are all locked and the Drive-Thru is the only thing open. I was on a tight schedule to get to an appointment and ordered through the mobile app. When I got there, the only way for me to get my order was to go through the Drive-Thru. The line was 5 cars deep and I didn't have time to wait in line. When I asked about picking up the order, I was informed the Drive-Thru was the only way to do that. The employees were not sympathetic, nor helpful; ie they didn't care. As I couldn't spend the time waiting in line, I called after I left to cancel my order and ask for a refund ... in keeping with the customer service, no refund was issued. I can understand Covid or short staff issues, but the store should make sure that Drive-Thru only is annotated in the app. I go to lots of Starbucks and it's not unusual to have the "no order ahead" banner associated with the store. I had a great experience here! I brought my kid cousin here for a late birthday treat on Tuesday around 4pm. Seemed to be understaffed and a little stressful for the employees (only three people working the whole shop) but they served us promptly! My cousin got a frap that she didn't really like and they were happy to make her a better one which was very much appreciated and made her birthday trip very special. Clean and friendly, prompt and sharp staff. 100% will return here! Yay! read more

The staff are friendly and ALWAYS put their best effort forward to get the orders correct and completed in a timely manner. This morning I sat at a table behind a woman who launched very disrespectful verbal attacks to the baristas claiming "they don't care and never get it right," and I offer this rebuttal as a customer for 10 years.
