The food was pretty good here. The Plato Perron was very filling and tasty, probably the best thing we ordered! The chilaquiles verdes were okay too, but did not have enough chorizo or enough sauce coating them. The service was a little slow, but they were still nice. And the ambiance is pretty like a casual and authentic breakfast/lunch spot. I also ordered some pancakes, but they were too dense for my liking. This little gem is right off 98 but tucked away so it's a little hard to know it's there if your not looking for it. I would recommend the breakfast tacos. They is so full of flavor. Ambiance - delightful. Mexican murals everywhere. Service - very fast and efficient. When I had questions the waitress clearly answered my question. Food - two eggs with red and green salsa. Their hot salsa was just right with the eggs. The potatoes were fried with onion and peppers . My only complaint was the refried black beans. They were too watery. Definitely will give it another try. Decided to have breakfast here for their large following on social media and their reviews. This restaurant is very nice and their decor really does a beautiful job at depicting Mexican style art. It was not too busy when my gent and I arrived so we were seated right away. My wife wanted Mexican Sweet Bread to start our meal. Good thing we only ordered one because one of these suckers are humongous! The bread was sweet like the King Hawaiian brand but fresh. I didn't like the frosting on top. It made it seem more like a cupcake than bread. My entree was the enchiladas Rojas. These enchiladas came stuffed with shredded chicken and topped with red salsa, queso, cilantro, and red onion. They were prepared well and were the best part of my meal. My wife ordered the A La Mexicana. The best description of it is 2 scrambled eggs with avocados and other ingredients mixed in. It came with beans and potatoes. She loved it and it was ok for me. My sweet tea had a sharp taste to it that I did not like. I thought it was Gold Peak but it turned out it was Community. I think it needed a pinch of baking soda to take the edge off of it. Terrific We ate here three times on vacation, and enjoyed the experience. I especially liked the Cafe de Olla-- it's like no coffee I've ever had, and the only coffee I've ever taken along when leaving a restaurant so I could have more! It's our first time in Pensacola and we wanted a quick breakfast. We stumbled upon this café. Upon entering the host greeted us and sat us down. The feel of this place is very warm and comfortable. The tablecloths are super cute, the mural on the wall is really nice, and they have fun plants hanging on the wall near where we sat. We ordered coffee and fresh carrot/OJ juice. The coffee arrived in a really pretty coffee cup. They also have sweet bread if you'd like to have it with your coffee. I got a side of fried plantains and a dish called divorced eggs. It's basically two sunny side up eggs with beans and chopped up small potatoes. The beans have a little bit of cheese crumbled on top and each egg had a different color sauce. One had red sauce and the other had green sauce. Hence the name divorced eggs. We went on a Friday morning so there was no wait. It's a very clean café with friendly employees. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place. If you're in the mood for tacos don't forget to try their other location just a few steps away called Tacos Rock. read more
