WOW. There are not enough stars for this review. Michelle and Josh were so amazing! When Josh realized it was our first time, he took the time to give us a detailed description of each pastry. Michelle packaged them neatly and with care. We nearly bought one of every single pastry they had! The way he described the pastries made it hard to say no to anything! We also got 3 lattes, very delicious! I got a blueberry vanilla latte with oat milk and my friends for the salted caramel latte. The place itself is small and only has one table inside, so plan to take it to go! I was going to take the time to rate each pastry but I can honestly say they are all 10/10! We got: sticky buns, everything croissant with cream cheese, mango New York croissant, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, seasonal summer croissant (S'mores), chocolate and vanilla cruffin, strawberry stuffed croissant, and some filled danishes. There are bakeries, and then there are places that make you sit in your car, covered in pastry flakes, wondering how things got out of hand so quickly. Sugar Beach Bakery is the latter. Josh was behind the counter today, and he knew exactly what he was doing. He sold me on the kouign-amann--a beautifully excessive combination of butter, sugar, and dough--along with another pastry. Both were gone before I left the parking lot. At that point, dignity was no longer a factor. I went straight back inside for the pastry of the month: a tiramisu croissant. It was worth the walk of shame. They import their butter from Normandy, France, which may sound like the sort of detail bakeries mention to impress you. Here, you can actually taste why it matters. The pastries are rich, crisp, layered, and unapologetically indulgent. Josh was exceptional--knowledgeable without being pretentious, enthusiastic without forcing it, and clearly proud of what they're making. I've tried nearly every bakery around Gulf Breeze and Pensacola. Sugar Beach Bakery is not merely good for the area. It is an absolute standout, period. We're lucky to have it in Gulf Breeze. Stop in Tuesday through Saturday, ask for Josh, and accept that whatever you buy may not survive the parking lot. 5 stars. read more

service is immaculate. we talked to the owner and asked questions about what kind of filling was in the 3D fruit and how they were assembled and she took her time and explained to us so thoughtfully. each food item we purchased was well worth the money especially if it's just for a special treat. this was my first time here and i definitely would recommend but be a returning customer myself as well! so much care put into these pastries. read more

Extraordinary bakery. Our dear friends brought us a baked treat from here and we were blown. The chocolate croissants are the best I've had. The chef is trained in France & orders the best ingredients. They are friendly and warm and chatty and so proud of their products. I love the cake wallpaper. It feels great walking in. We also ordered a pumpkin pie from here & my aunt picked up a pecan for thanksgiving. They were crowd pleasers! We've brought guests here because we are such fans. We know this bakery will continue to be a staple in our lives. I hope you try it so it becomes part of yours too. read more

I keep passing by this bakery wanting to check it out.. so I finally did today! There's so many pastries that look high quality - cinnamon rolls, different croissants, cruffins, muffins, etc. The person serving was very helpful and took time to describe each one. The owner was talking to a group when I got there. They were all very welcoming and just knowledgeable! I can't remember what I tried, but it's very delicious! Incredible bakery! It's so good we keep going back. I'm a chocolate croissant girl but trust - the strawberry and tiramisu croissants are unreal!! Go out of your way, buy extra for later- it's worth it! Also, the people are super nice and it's adorable. Small spot with one little table so not a go sit down and eat place. read more

Just moved to the area, and saw the sign for Sugar Beach Bakery. Stopped in and it was hard to choose because all the pastries looked so good. Made a few selections, to include strawberry with vanilla bean, and spiced pear. Took a bite, and it was the best I have ever had, with a close second being a bakery I visited while in th the Napa Valley. All of our selections were top notch. Also enjoyed visiting with Josh in the front, and got to spend a few minutes talking with Jennifer, the chef and owner. Great product and great service. Have already been back, and will be a regular at this place. If you enjoy a good bakery, run, don't walk to Sugar Beach Bakery! read more

They say first impressions are the most lasting, so this one star review is from a first impression. "I will come back and try something else to hopefully raise the stars" however this first experience was just so bad I felt compelled to review. Sooooo, it's Mardi Gras season and nothing says Mardi Gras like King Cake. Round the world in my travels, I've managed to get king cake. So when I saw all the mentions on FB that this bakery had the best in the "region" I was like "Yo, Count me In!" Placed my order (despite finding Nutella as an option - but eh, I'm a good sport). Picked up the cake, brewed up my favorite Cafe Du Monde and was ready! Pulled the plastic off and when in to cut the first piece. Ok, so I didn't need a sawsall, but when I say this thing was dense, it was consistency of HARD sweet loafs. Ok, so maybe it's a Florida thing...like a coffee cake you gotta dip to enjoy. Because without the dip, this thing was terrible. Like so dry it sucked the moisture out of your mouth! It was...not just unpalatable, but simply un-eatable without a soak. I've had some mediocre king cake in my travels, but this was just plain bad. I am really hoping this was a one off (I won't order KC here again) because I love supporting small local spots. Had been wanting to stop by this new bakery and finally did. The cinnamon rolls are seriously the best ~ made with the moistest dough I've ever had in a cinnamon roll. The croissants are highest quality. You can tell everything is made with a special touch. And the staff was all genuinely nice and helpful, describing all the items in the cases in detail.
