They are not very welcoming. I'm an emergency services worker, and work 16 hour days without a home base (we get posted around the county). I've been a patron here multiple times yet yesterday, I made the mistake of having to pee. The bathroom has a code, so I go up to the desk (in uniform, radio chatter audible) and the condescending girl behind the desk asks "but are you purchasing anything today? Because the bathroom is only for customers" so I reply..."bro" and she does that whole condescending head turn "I knowwww I'll let you use it this once but for future" come on man. Really? If I could give ZERO stars I would. Man, I don't wanna be that person, but c'mon Starbucks you have ONE job to do, make the drinks accurately. My experience here was similar to others - the service was pretty wretched. I stood at the register for a good 5 minutes without even being looked at. Mind you, it was not the morning rush and the store was not very busy. As I continued to wait, I noticed that the manager was standing right there, flipping through a binder, and didn't even bother to look up. When the girl finally DID come over, she was kind and apologized for the wait which is why I'm giving 2 stars and not 1. This review is of the Starbucks on North Ocean Avenue in Farmingville, NY: The service here is horrible. The staff is inattentive, rude and doesn't even acknowledge customers coming in to pick up their mobile orders, which are kept behind glass requiring the customer to wait even longer than necessary. Management seems to be nonexistent at this location. I've witnessed staff texting or carrying on personal conversations while customers stand by waiting to be helped. I now go out of my way to avoid this location and instead order from the Rt 112 location in Medford or Dunkin on Horseblock Rd, both of which are better run and have staff that actually try to get customers in and out as quickly as possible with orders being accurately filled. read more

My first day coming to this new location. Super excited that it's on the way to my job. Conveniently right on north ocean across from applebee's. I waited for my second time to write a review. First time was through the drive thru. I wanted to go inside to be able to fully review and write my thoughts on it. The drive thru was good. The person that took my order was nice and prompt. I ordered a Nitro cold brew. It was good. Which led me to my second visit. This time I wanted to go in. Today was free holiday cup day with a purchase of a holiday drink. I ordered a nitro cold brew again, a pumpkin latte and coffee cake. The inside was nice and clean. They had lots of workers (probably because of the free cup special). The service was fast. Employees were nice and cheerful. The cold brew was great. The hot coffee was gross. It tasted burnt or bottom of the pot kinda coffee. The coffee cake was so as well. I rated it a 3 because got the amount of money that is spent on one cup of coffee there shouldn't be any issues with it. It's it like a Dunkin' Donuts or a 7-eleven. Their coffees are decent but reasonable in price. We all agree Starbucks is pricey but you expect a perfect cup of coffee. I will try it again and update my review Update: Officially done. Friendly staff, but long wait times when using the drive thru. Parking is terrible since it's shared with a next door urgent care. I caution anyone parking in the lot as people in that lot tend not to drive that well. The service is good, but I feel they need to conduct a resource check to measure the days where business is strong. I frequent this Starbucks on a daily Basis. In my opinion there is an A team and B team. Nicole, Maureen and Sami are far and away the A team at this location. I order anytime between 7:30am and 10am (mon thru Friday) and I know when the line is flowing, the A team is present. I was also there today and to my liking the A team was there as well. These ladies are super hard working and should be praised. I never have an issue with my order and the ladies are always super friendly and have smile on their face even when its a bad day! This Starbucks just always seems to never make the drinks exactly right. I usually go to the Starbucks up Nichols off Middle Country Rd., and whenever I order a drink here that I normally do, it tastes different, not a good different. If you're coming here, keep your drink simple.. boring.. that way you don't have to deal with forcing yourself to drink an off-tasting coffee. This review captures two visits. The first was great. Pleasant employees, timely service, and drink met expectations. Second visit, loud employee makes loud announcement to please be patient. My coffee comes up, the barista says my name while placing the coffee in the shelf and walks away. There were a lot of people standing around waiting for their orders but no ordered are going out because no one has been given the task of ensuring orders to our. Customers have to actively ask for their order. I was dismissed when asking for my order that I could see on the shelf and had seen placed there. Then, realizing that perhaps it would be nice to hand me the order the barista that dismissed me handed me my order. I don't blame the baristas. I blame what appeared to be the two managers having a meeting and discussing the books, scheduling or whatever and ignoring the fact that there is a easily observable failure in the customer service chain or responsibility which appears to be optimized to quickly complete orders but fails to efficiently get the orders into the hands of customers. Ultimate the first visit was a four or five and the second a one or two star. Average it together and you have a net that is mildly inconvenient. read more

We have been so happy with the service of the staff of this Starbucks during such a difficult time. Due to the close down of COVID19 the lines of people waiting at this Starbucks have been so long due to only drive thru service available and a over whelming amount of people bombarding this location. We are regular everyday Starbucks patrons we along with so many waited this line. The staff has been amazing, courteous and our drinks always so good and always served with a smile. I would like to applaud this staff on such a job well done. We like to bring our dogs out with us for our drives to give the Baristas a smile and a little puppy Therapy.
