My first time back here as I'm visiting relatives in the area and they reopened since the last time I drove by. Terrific spot to bring your computer and get some work done in the afternoon Dropped in here today and had my choice of seating. Many tables and spots to sit at with outlets everywhere. Went to a different Starbucks location and ordered a brown sugar oat milk latte which tasted completely like a cup of just milk. I came to this location and simply asked for a few squirts of syrup and I was told, no. In disbelief, especially after paying $7.12 for a cup of coffee, like that's not absurd enough, I asked the employee at the window again to clarify that a few squirts is something he really wouldn't give me; he told me he needed to ask his manager and never came back to the window. I enjoy this Starbucks a lot! It's always clean inside and everything is organized. The bathroom is always clean as well. I've been here at different times (early morning, late morning, early afternoon, late at night, etc) and everything is always clean! There is a drive-thru at this location also. The drive-thru line always tends to be long! You're better off just parking and going inside...it will be a lot faster! The employees are also always smiling. Great customer service. Service is always quick, but not rushed. There is plenty of room to sit at this location also. From sofas, comfy chairs, and tables. Plenty of outlets to charge your devices also. Don't be lazy - just get out your car and go in. PLENTY of seating, come here to do work whenever I can. This is my favorite Starbucks around the area. The drive thru line here is always atrocious. I came in, 1 person in the car and had to get 3 drinks. Never offered a cup holder (my car only had 2 which was easy to see) and they were missing the coin change, so the worker says "I'm missing the twenty cents is that okay" and I say fine and leave. What can I say? Might be a chain store,, but I've been going to this location near my home for over 4 years. Meet up with groups of friends at least 2x a week here. Know all the staff and managers,, and they know me the minute I walk in. Has a drive-thru,, actually miss when they were once 24 hours. But this location is open til midnight and that works for me too. Wifi has been nice and reliable. Nice and large store. As with other Starbucks,, I wish it were a bit brighter (helps when your knitting, lol), and kinda miss the old comfy purple armchairs they had before they did their makeover around a year ago. This Starbucks definitely is my go to place to getaway from whatever ails me at the time! LOL In nicer weather they do have a table or two by one of the side entrances. I wish they would make some sort of outdoor seating in front of the store,,, be perfect for the summer! read more

This is the best Starbucks, it's drive thru which is convenient and easier than standing on long line inside. The spinach wrap (healthy choice) and chipotle chicken sandwiches tasted good and are thoroughly cooked unlike syosset location which were cold in middle. I know they are supposed to use same syrups but even the lattes here taste better I'm not sure what they do different but definitely worth it. I usually get pumpkin spice latte and other flavored lattes. Starbucks also has cold beverages like ice teas with fruit in it. I always knew it for coffee but you can get breakfast and lunch here with fruit and holiday desserts. I don't think I would eat a salad here though , places that aren't food priority don't usually have quality salad. This Starbucks is about two minutes from my house so I am here quite often. The drinks are good. What you'd typically expect from any starbucks. My order has always come out correct and the staff at the drive thru window (yes I am too lazy/tired/antisocial to to go inside most days) are always nice and friendly. My only qualm about this particular Starbucks is the ridiculous way the parking lot is set up. The lines are usually long and wrap around the parking lot and I have found myself trapped between two cars waiting on the line while someone is anxiously waiting to back out of their spot that I'm unintentionally blocking. This is the best Starbucks I've ever been to. It's huge and spacious and has plenty of couches and cushioned chairs that invite you to spend some quality coffee time here . It's actually more of a lounge in some ways. You can, and people do, spend literally hours here all day. Located relatively close to SUNY Stonybrook and SCCC, you'll find many students here studying or doing group projects, as well as people just hanging out to shoot the breeze or cool down after a day's shopping at the Mall. Even when this place is packed, it's still nice because of the open, spacious layout. If you're going to camp out and spend a day studying here, you'll find plenty of food places nearby if you need a break to recharge the ol' batteries. You really can't go wrong here. And as Manny pointed out, the drive through is a real plus. I'm giving this place 5 stars. read more

Not only do they have a 24 hour drive through, plenty of parking, and the seating space of two average Starbucks' but one employee, Erin, went out of her way to help me combine a few items for a gift I was purchasing and then wrapped and packaged them together. There were plenty of employees working and they seemed to be getting drinks right. People always say all Starbucks/Dunkin/7/11 are the same, but there are definitely times the coffee is off or an amateur just doesn't make that triple tall gingerbread latte the right way. Interior is modern, clean, and surrounded by windows on three sides which makes it a nice place to study or hang out. Can get crowded at night but there is almost always a table available. Open until midnight which is later than other Starbucks and just about anything else other than gas stations in the area. Lots of outlets for charging electronics. Multiple baristas ensures a short wait time for drinks. Also includes a drive-through window which sees a constant flux of cars going by (this is open 24/7). Why not five-stars? 1. The wifi here is slow and unreliable. Good luck streaming on youtube. Granted, internet is pretty crappy at most of the other Starbucks I have been to near this part of Long Island, but it seems like it would be a worthwhile investment to get faster internet. I guess its usually crowded enough where they don't have to. 2. I come from a college town with coffee shops 3-4 times as large as this (and open later). So despite the fact that this Starbucks has a large seating area compared to others nearby and East Coast standards, part of me still thinks it's tiny. I guess economically it makes more sense for them to open a ton of small locations and saturate the market than open bigger stores with multiple levels (although I much prefer the atmosphere of the latter). FINAL VERDICT: Four stars by comparison to other Starbucks nearby, three stars as it is. Rounding up because it's generally a nice place. Just hope they upgrade the wifi sometime soon. read more

I can't lie Yelpers, I'm pretty basic *Insert emoji with the sassy chicks hand out here* Working overnight shifts, 11pm-7am (sometimes till 11am) Its always a must to get my newly addicted fix of coffee/tea in me at approx 10pm to ensure i'm not falling asleep while working Air Traffic. So far, the months I've been going to this particular "Starbies" I've only had one innocent, the coffee tasted like it was watered down. But, it was quickly resolved when I spun around and went back in the Drive Thru. I told them what was wrong and the gentlemen at the window was able to remake the coffee to my satisfaction no questions asked. I do believe that is Starbucks policy. If your drink doesn't meet your expectations, you simply bring it back and they will remake the drink no If's, And's, or But's about it. Polices like that keep me going back. Knowing that they seem to care about customers is what makes me comfortable about spend money there. The coffee shop is always cleaned. Free WiFi as usual. Staff is really friendly. Nothing really negative to say about this particular Starbucks. If you find yourself constantly at Starbucks, I highly recommend getting involved with their rewards program. Probably my favorite Starbucks in the Selden/Centereach/Lake Grove/Stony Brook area because they have great hours. Open til 12am, and their drive-thru is open 24/7! It's huge. There's plently of tables and chairs and there's always lots of people lounging, talking, working on their laptops inside. I've even seen some people sleeping? Pastries and other food items are always well-stocked. The service is not too friendly, but they're fast and amazingly accurate. I've never had a messed up order. I have noticed that many Starbucks locations have very loud music. I get the reason why. People drink faster and rotate out quicker that way. However, it's too loud here. I have found that sometimes between the loud music and the interior design -- I can barely hear myself think or hear the barista. read more

Well, my wife wanted me pick her up a Starbucks on the way home the other day. The drive through line was practically out into Middle Country Road, so I sucked it up and went inside. There were 3 people ahead of me, and it took nearly 20 minutes from the time I walked in til I got my order, which was only 1 item. The genetic female taking the orders disappeared into the back after each order she took. The big one with the green pony tail was busy with straws and napkins, obviously too busy to help out at the counter.
