My usual view. In this case, it looks like someone left a latte on my car.

We live in a world where I can write a review of a specific Starbucks location. How sad is that? Worse, we live in a world where someone might actually READ my review of a specific Starbucks location. What are you expecting to get out this review? Is your decision to patronize this particular Starbucks going to be impacted by a Yelp review where for the first hundred words or so I don't even talk about the Starbucks and instead speak existentially about the review itself. But anyway. This is probably the Starbucks of all the Starbuckses that I Starbucks the most. It's close to home, has plenty of outlets so I can plug in my laptop when I'm writing things other than Yelp reviews of Starbucks locations. I like the layout of this store. Some Starbucks locations can be confusing: Where do I place my order? Why is that seating area somewhat hidden? Why are there no outlets? (Keep in mind that I'm a very simple-minded person, so I do get confused by things like layouts of Starbucks locations.) It's a friendly staff here at this Starbucks location, though I've never had a problem with Starbucks staff anywhere. I guess if I had a complaint, and I never get through a day without one, it would be that it takes a little longer than average for orders to be fulfilled, even when there are half a dozen buzzing baristas packed behind the counter. The Starbucks arrived when they knocked down then built over a sad little strip mall that had a pizza place and a couple of other stores I can't remember. This new strip mall is a bit busier and livelier. There's a Chipotle, which replaced a knockoff version of a Chipotle, and a new and larger pizza restaurant. There used to be a pet store. The pet store had a couple of cats available for adoption. But the pet store closed. I don't know what happened to the cats. The strip mall is near the Long Island Expressway, so I often use the drive-thru when I'm about to start my journey, whether it's to NYC or to Stew Leonard's or to visit a girl who would eventually dump me (there was more than one). I even met a girl AT this Starbucks. She eventually dumped me, too. Between the cats whose whereabouts I don't know and all the women dumping me, this is starting to sound like a sad Starbucks review. But let me tell you, I have had many wonderful creative moments at this location. I've knocked out a ton of freelance writing, wrote several short stories, crafted parts of my one-day-I'll-finish-it novel, and even some songs for a mixtape I created. Oddly, I did not write this review at this Starbucks. But I wish I was there right now. So it's not all bad, you see. A Starbucks is always going to be a Starbucks. It's comes down to what YOU make of it, how you handle your Starbucks moments, and knowing which Starbucks moments you can control and which you can't, and taking ownership of what you can control and letting go of what you can't, that helps bring your Starbucks life into equilibrium rather than coffee chaos. As long as you don't let that latte burn your tongue. FOUR STARS

This is place is absolutely the worst. I ordered a pumpkin spiced latte this morning and they gave me less than half a cup and charged me 5 dollars. And I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened to me at this location but it's not. They do this every single time. And I understand sometimes the drink gets foamy on top but not enough to sell a customer less than half a cup of product. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. Will never be returning again.

I just purchased a drink from Starbucks and it was a huge disappointment. This seems to happen a lot with the salted caramel mocha. I was told by a barista friend that they probably don't put in toffee syrup. It's not sweet at all. It's super bitter even with ristretto shots and they didn't even put caramel or salt on top of the whip cream as you can see in the picture. I did not drink it and it was too late to go back. We also waited forever in the drive thru for our order even though it was just us ordering. There was no line. Im a gold member and this was a waste of money.

After visiting Chick-fil-A the day before, I came in to check out this newly opened Starbucks with a drive thru. There wasn't any signage of it opening soon, so it was surprising to see the new addition to this plaza. There are several fundamental issues to this location, however, even before stepping to the store. For one, the driving into the parking lot is a bit confusing; if you are going north on Commack road and turn too quickly, you'll end up going to the Hampton Inn. Secondly, the parking lot has only one entrance and one exit. Now this may not seem too bad but there's a catch, it's only one way for both, and they're not side by side, there is an island in the middle of the two which just makes the arrangement a bit awkward. The actual store itself is clean, open concept and has high ceilings which really makes for quite a nice atmosphere. Additionally, there are outlets next to practically every table in this store which is a plus if you're looking for a place to recharge and study. On to the coffee; unfortunately, the service I received for a quiet Wednesday afternoon was very lackluster. I initially had ordered a tall Blonde brewed coffee, which should be pretty simple. The barista told me that they had ran out, but they could do a pour over, or alternatively, take the pike instead. I opted for the latter since I thought it would be faster. That's where I was very wrong. I stood there for about 10 minutes waiting for my coffee to be brewed. As it turned out, the barista had misinformed me, and it seemed that the pike had ran out, as well. I had realized this after the 5 minute mark of waiting, that they just started grinding the beans then started to brew it shortly after. I am typically very reasonable but it was frustrating to wait, and not even hear an apology for the wait time or at least an acknowledgment that there was a miscommunication. Hopefully, I can chalk this up to an adjustment to the new store, or inexperienced staff.
