Stopped here for a quick breakfast with my boyfriend before heading to Brooklyn for the day. Service was fast and effective. Bagels were fresh and yummy. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was tasty and I didn't have a pound of cream cheese like most bagel places do. My boyfriend had a plain bagel with butter. No complaints from him either. For the two bagels it was just under $6, Employees were kind and provided service with a smile. I would definitely return for an egg sandwich. read more

We arrived to one of the servers smoking two storefronts down from the store. Not a good start. The bagels were soft, a different consistency than the usual Long Island Bagel, which my husband didn't like, but my son thought was OK because he had a "Godfather" sandwich piled high with meats and cheeses so the soft bagel was easier to eat. I ordered via Door Dash because I was hungry but couldn't leave work. I had an egg sandwich with bacon on an egg bagel. I asked for my eggs over-medium, but the eggs weren't cooked right. The white part was undercooked and oozing off the sandwich. The bacon was pretty good, but the bagel wasn't that great. It was soft and not a lot of flavor. They also sent me the coffee, which I just got rid of after one sip. It tasted burnt. I wouldn't order from them again. read more

Short experience. I walked in, and noticed the grime everywhere. There were pieces of unused food piled up in the back of the slicer, There were crumbs on prominent display in the cold cut case. The longer I waited on line, the more ickiness I saw. So I left. read more

Clean establishment. Bagels are soft and of high quality, baked in house. Cream cheese comes standard whipped! Specialty cream cheeses are only a few options but perfectly mixed with nicely balanced flavor. Egg sandwiches are nice and clean on house made buns. No greasy spoon here. Salads (chicken/tuna) are made with a proper ratio of mayonnaise, NOT heavy mayo at all. Always fresh. Chicken is "pulled" variety or shredded as some might say, a definite PLUS. As far as cold cuts, something im not doing much of anymore, the few times I have indulged I have been very happy with the special sandwiches. There are NO NEGATIVES here at this bagel shop. Staff and ownership are VERY friendly and go out of way to take care of customers properly and always expeditiously. I am here almost 4 days a week as my office is in Hauppauge. All of the other delicatessen places, and bagel stores in the area are sub-par. I am very picky on cleanliness and this is the only spot that I consider up to par. read more

A small bagel & lunch cafe tucked away on Motor Parkway, this place is good enough to satisfy a deep bagel craving. I had their egg bagel with jalapeño cream cheese, and was immediately pleased with the heat. Not all jalapeño spreads are hot but this one is. A few tables allow for seating and the coffee is good. And yet my breakfast was compromised by the TV, which was blasting an idiotic morning talk show loud enough for the neighbors to hear. Guys: turn down the volume; they call it an "idiot box" for a reason. read more

I grabbed an egg sandwich on my way to work and when I got to my desk, excitedly opened up my BEC, I could not believe that whoever was working the grill had the audacity to serve me such an appalling breakfast. It appeared that they scraped off the old burnt bacon that was left on the grill from the day before and piled it onto my sandwich. It was disgusting. I could not eat it. It ruined my day. And I will never go back to this establishment again. read more

Every time I get the younger guy he screws up my order...every single time. It's one sandwich and I repeat the order twice when I have him. For the prices they charge they need to pay closer attention and get the orders right. I can't imagine what happens to the people who order multiple sandwiches from him. read more

Best bagels around. The whole wheat everything is the best around, and the housemade lox spread is delish. But also their walnut cranberry chicken salad is the best I've wver had. I find myself craving it! I always have my sandwiches on bagels there cuz the bagels are sooo good and fresh, but their salads r even delicious on a roll or right out if the container! Fabulous!! Great bagels and food. prices are very good to. Place is small, but don't let that fool you!! They make the best party heros also, including a Kosher" style for those that want American but without the cheese or ham. The salads are very good, not to vinegary. Wish they were open longer hours, but being in an industrial sort of area, you can understand. If your a bagel person, you need to try here!! read more

Food is acceptable. However, for some reason they think that they are above the local food safety laws. The owners rarely ware gloves, and the employees wear one glove. The food is good and it's the only bagel place around so I still go there, but always feel like walking out when I am reminded of their poor food safety skills read more

If you're on Long Island looking for a decent bagel, this is a pretty good spot. Standard fare for breakfast- bagels, egg sandwiches, etc. also has deli meats, soups, and has a few hot sandwiches. Good selection of drinks available. Bagel is cakier and denser than I usually go for, but still absolutely a good fit. Egg everything with plain cream cheese warmed my heart :) read more

Was in the mood for a bagel on a Sunday morning but I'm sort of new to this town, so I gave this place a chance. The bagel was fresh, they smothered it with plenty of cinnamon-raisen cream cheese, and most importly, the coffee was good. I was satisfied and will certainly go here again. read more

I ordered a tomato, sausage, mozzarella cheese OMELETTE and a pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese (included in the order). What I got, however, was a layer of eggs, a layer of mozzarella cheese, a layer of two tomatoes that were watery, and a layer of two sausage patties. Basically, I got the IKEA version of an omelette. Also, the bagel was barely even scrambled. The bagel was a rye bagel, not a pumpernickel bagel, and that is a major downgrade from pumpernickel. It was much more bland. Also, the bagel is kind of mushy. These guys used to be great, but I think they are beginning to slip, unfortunately. At least the employee who helped me was friendly. read more

Great service, great bagels! The turkey and egg whites on an onion bagel hit all the marks. The knish was cooked perfectly.

Make sure you get there at least an hour before they close if you want to get something from the grill. The door states their hours of operation and they have a large neon sign saying breakfast all day. I got there at 1230pm and they closed at 1pm. When I went inside one man said "your not getting eggs are you?" I said yes and he said "oh well the grill is off." I understand people want to get home but when your store front says one thing your customers will expect that. So when I'm already trying to find a place still serving breakfast at 1230pm and I pull in and see a sign like that, I expect to get breakfast. Maybe they should change their sign to 7-1230pm to reflect when they turn their grill off. This was truly annoying. read more

I get the bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel and its fair to say out of the vast amounts of bagel places I've tried on Long Island, THE BAGEL STOP'S BAGELS ARE THE BEST. The egg bagels are delicious. The bacon isn't burnt. The seasoning is with a good hand. No complaints. I love that it's the closest bagel place to me but sad that I didn't know about it for so long. This deli is small but it has the best bacon egg and cheese with salt pepper ketchup- you gotta say it this way :) coffee light and sweet is always on point. Suggestion is maybe take it to go. read more

Very disappointing. Was down from Boston and was hoping for some high quality NY/NJ bagels. These were not them. They were mildly fresh, but the flavor was very bland - borderline on supermarket quality. Find somewhere else if you're looking for area-specific bagels. i freaking love this place! customer service is great. they always have the best coffee. everyone is always pleasant. the owner is so sweet. she shook my hand one time because i told her i loved this place and no breakfast spot treats me so good & i guess i lifted her spirits but she lifted mine as well. they are alittle pricey but it's not that bad. i go to them every morning! read more
