Here we go, So the hype was big about this Deli. I even passed by a couple of times while in the area and the line would be out the door. My BFF and I decided to check it out. We went after lunch crowd was over. It was about a few people sitting down in the dining area eating. Deli was very organized and clean. Customer service was OK. As we approached the counter of ordering I viewed the pastries which looked scrumptious. I decided to order the Apple Danish . My BFF ordered the chocolate muffin. Then we veiwed the sandwiches. I wasn't 100 percent sold on the sandwiches so I asked for my sandwich to be made fresh. However it wasnt . It was reheated. There is a big difference in taste from reheated to making it fresh. I just dealt with it. You would think after paying 46 dollars I would be satisfied, but to be honest with you I wasnt. After eating half of the sandwich I threw the other half away. Im thinking to myself ok maybe the Apple Danish would make up for it. No.. The Danish was very dry inside. Didn't really have any kind of kick to it. To be honest I was totally disappointed. Love that there are so many food options to choose from. Their bagels are so delicious but to be honest, my go to are the flagels & bialys. Their fresh salad bar is the best because you have so many unlimited options to choose from to be added into it & it also includes your choice of a bagel, flagel, pita or bagel chips. All of their other salads, veggie tuna, chicken, mac, potato, coleslaw & others that I've tried were all fresh & delicious. The employees behind the counter are quick to get orders processed since it gets packed with ppl. Day in and day out, the individuals that make up the Bagel Chalet team are putting in 110% to make your food perfect. They work effortlessly as a unit with their attention to detail and efficiency. The other day, I was at Bagel Chalet on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The place was packed and as I soon realized, this place is packed every day of the week because of the name brand and the reputation it has put out into the community. I was in line for less than 5 minutes and got my food within 10 minutes of getting there. This is not just a bagel place, this is a staple of the community. There was a certain energy that ran through the place. I tried their flagel with jalapeño cream cheese and it was nothing short of SPECTACULAR. I don't think I've ever had a schmear this good in a long time. The jalapeño cream cheese was flavorful and has a little bit of a kick to it that was refreshing. The flagel was surprisingly large and tasted very fresh. To go along with the flagel, I also got an iced coffee that paired very well it. I will definitely be back as I have also heard amazing things about the pasta and the other items at Bagel Chalet. Might have to be one of the best places on Long Island for bagels. read more

Good bagel spot with a lot of options on the menu and the salad bar looked good. I enjoyed my everything bagel with olive cream cheese (although kind of lacking on bagel size for the price) and the wait wasn't too bad in the early afternoon on a weekday. The counter line gets squishy so make sure you know what you want before you get to the register. Coffee creamers and sugar are self serve which I like but they are right in the way of people trying to get away from the register after paying (be warned - you need to move it). While tasty, their prices are really high - $5.75 for a bagel with olive cream cheese is wild. And $2.10 for just a plain bagel is twice the price of other places. I've never not seen them at least a little overwhelmed by the crowds, but I appreciate their professionalism and down to earth demeanor of the hardworking staff. I can't understand how or why they mess up my order almost every single time. It's even worse that I of course pay extra for the bacon on my sandwich only to not get it. Here at bagel chalet, the staff are all working as one. I was particularly impressed by their attention to detail. I observed most of the staff remembered many of the customers orders. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel lightly toasted with cream cheese. The bagel was most definitely fresh and delicious! There's almost always a line practically put the door, but don't fret, it will go quickly. I would also recommend the #6 hero for lunch. The garlic bread is almost always toasted to perfection, not too much and not too little garlic. I usually ask for extra cheese and hot sauce.
