Nope, never again. I just went there becuase it was a close by breakfast spot from the current location I was at the moment. They take forever to make your food and it is expensive. The place is small so you are standing in an uncomfortable line/waiting area.

$5.16 Bagel with barely any cream cheese

I travel Long Island for work and eat at a new place almost every day, because of that I recommend new places to people all the time. House of bagels will not be one of those. I paid $5.16 for a bagel with strawberry cream cheese. That price I pretty high in comparison to other bagel places. The bagel was hard and the cream cheese tasted like plain, not even a hint of strawberry. I know it was strawberry because I watched him make the bagel. On top of those things they barely put any cream cheese on the bagel. My helper waited 20 mins for an egg sandwich which cost him $10. This is my first and last time here. The store was small and cramped too

a half eaten bagel and half eaten bagel

What a disappointment. I normally come here all the time as the bagels are always fresh and their egg sandwiches are great. But I may need to rethink my next bagel excursion. I understand prices are high. $4.50 for a bagel with flavored cream cheese is insane but it's not even the issue. For this price, there should be at least an adequate amount of cream cheese. This is also the 2nd time I've been there in the last month and dealt with 2 different people who had awful attitudes. I've been in customer service long enough to know that not every day is gonna be rainbows and butterflies. However, I've seen one of the people be nasty to other customers on different occasions so it wasn't just a bad day. This is not a unique problem and theres no such thing as a perfect employee. Unfortunately, the combination of high prices, low quality/quantity, and terrible customer service has lost them a loyal customer who once championed them. Bagel stores are a dime a dozen on Long Island. Go somewhere else.

3.99 plus tax.....charged me 4.15 plus tax then tried to lie and make excuses about it

they rip you off make sure you read your receipts. they charged 4.15 for a 3.99 iced tea and 3.65 for a buttered bagel (it was a roll) then charged tax. then got hostile when i asked for my .68 cents back. tried to say debit fee which is illegal. they do that a few times a day it adds up. its the point i dont care about the .68 cents its the honesty. im a business owner and they acted like it was a problem i know how to add.

Stopped in on a whim and I must say the breakfast sandwich was delicious! Will definitely return!

I ordered an egg everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese.

I ordered an egg everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese. The bagel was fresh and they put the perfect amount of cream cheese. This is how a bagel with cream cheese should look. Price was reasonable and service was quick and friendly. I will be coming back!

But Vicky and the team at Everything Bagel in Commack make it worth your while. Creative. Helpful. Delicious. That's my TLDR synopsis for you. The only place I knew that did it was in Nassau and I couldn't get myself to drink 30 minutes for a bagel. Luckily someone tipped me off that this place could! Vicky got back to me immediately on Instagram to let me know she'd love to make me one, so I was there the next day! And boy did it deliver. For the one I got, you have to like a bagel with lox and all the fixins. But they can make it with any ingredients you want. Just think of it has having your own special blend of cream cheese made. Can't wait to head back and try another one of their fun breakfast ideas!

Everything was delicious, perfectly prepared, and served with professionalism from start to finish. We went with the Carnivore Belly package and added skirt steak, wings, and a mix of sides. The BBQ was outstanding - meaty tender ribs, juicy pulled pork, burgers and dogs grilled to perfection. The wings were crisp and flavorful, and the fryer setup stole the show with piping-hot fries and onion rings that guests couldn't stop talking about. Even the sides (macaroni salad, harvest salad) were fresh and balanced out the richness of the BBQ perfectly. Booking, setup, cooking, serving, and cleanup were all handled smoothly. Our guests raved about the food, and we were able to just enjoy the day. It was the best of both worlds - the taste of authentic BBQ with none of the stress of doing it ourselves. Highly recommend Big Belly for anyone looking to elevate their party or gathering. They absolutely made our event unforgettable. My belly is certainly happy, and now big too.

The pretzel bun and so buttery and creamy. The loaded baked potato is so well balanced. And the best of all deep fried peanut butter and jelly. All of these options are vegan and they have a few other veggie options I still need to try. If you're vegan and in Long Island it's a must try! It's a great spot to takeout or casual dine in I hope they get a vegan coleslaw and mac and cheese too soon.

***SO MUCH BETTER THAN DELI SANDWICHES***…read more SEXY SALAD After many visits, John the owner of The Sandwich Hut - and also The Sexy Salad a few miles away - explained why he created this new venture. In his way of thinking, after running The Sexy Salad for over a decade, he needed a change - for example, something new and invigorating to clear his mind. But at the same time, I think, something not too complicated and laborious. MAKE IT SIMPLE As such, john chose a simple minimalist design for the store, with a few select offerings. And decorated the interior and exterior in a fast quirky kind of way. And finally, he limited operations to only four hours a day. HOPING FOR THE BEST Seeing all this for the first time, and without knowing the back-story, I assumed this enterprise was the work of a first time entrepreneur. This is someone without the experience to properly create a new restaurant that would succeed, I thought. And even worse, the place seemed to always be dead whenever I drove by. Feeling kind of sorry for the owner, a few of us paid a visit one day, trying to help out with some business. And so hoping for the best, we walked in, and were instantly greeted by John. He started out by making recommendations, from a kind of makeshift menu board next to the counter, that resembled a scrapbook. In addition, there were more menu items posted on the wall behind the counter, and then some on the wall next to the entrance. Also, there was a pretty small refrigerated display with some drinks, and snacks & chips placed here and there. And probably owing to a hasty move-in, there were multiple refrigerated standup cases just sitting empty on the walls behind the counter. And so, the initial impression most would get from the appearance of this restaurant, would be one of a rushed or incomplete realization of a business concept. WHAT A SURPRISE! On our first visit, I chose the Fried Eggplant Panini, only to be informed that it was sold out - at 1:00 pm. Oy vey, not a good sign I thought. So my second pick was the Pesto Grilled Chicken. In addition, a Cuban Sandwich was ordered, and some drinks from the somewhat limited choices available in the display case. After a bit of a long wait, we received our order, and were informed we could choose a free bag of chips from the assortment next to the menu board, to accompany our sandwiches. A nice little offering, that's never really given elsewhere. And so finally, we walked out with a bag of sandwiches and chips - when suddenly I exclaimed " Holy Shit Something Smells Really Good! " And as it happens, it was my Pesto Grilled Chicken sandwich creating that wonderful aroma. And after removing my sandwich from the container, I discovered I had received something totally unexpected. A sandwich with perfectly grilled chicken, melted mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and that fragrant pesto sauce on a crispy toasted ciabatta. So I hurriedly snapped my Yelp pictures, and took a bite. Sure enough, it was absolutely delicious, and nothing like what I expected from my initial impressions of the store. And although my sandwich was a bit on the smaller size, the Cuban Sandwich was fairly large and also smelled fantastic. So we decided to do the " Old Switcheroo " and share half of each sandwich. Doing this, I discovered the Cuban sandwich was equipped with ham, turkey, melted swiss, and pickles on a buttered grilled & pressed hero. And while it was definitely not as good as the Cuban sandwich I order from La Cubanita Deli, (review coming soon), it was still surprisingly good. ANOTHER VISIT AND MORE IMPRESSIVE RESULTS After discussing our initial visit, to make sure it wasn't an outlier, we decided the Sandwich Hut required another shot. So on this occasion, the Fried Eggplant Panini was available, and we also chose the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. And sure enough, my eggplant panini was fantastic, with melted mozzarella, roasted peppers, and again, that fragrant pesto spread - and the short rib was a hit also. OTHER ITEMS AS WELL After our first two visits, we returned a few more times, and ordered more sandwiches, and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, that was large and tasty. And remember, John is no stranger to salads, so they also offer an Earth Angel Salad, which has cranberries, nuts, granola, and cheese. In addition, there are burgers, hot dogs, wings, egg sandwiches, and smoothies listed on the various menus. HOLE-IN-THE-WALL? Well, the store kind of seems hastily thrown together. There's only one tiny table with two chairs to eat-in. And not a really large selection of drinks at all to choose from, by today's standards. And then there's the scattered menus everywhere you look. So, does one get a hole-in-the-wall vibe from the Sandwich Hut? Maybe. But I'll tell you what, if I want a delicious artisanal sandwich in Hauppauge, I can't think of any other place I would rather order from.
