Still serve the same fare but quality and service have decreased significantly while prices have increased. Officially, I'm never going back. I've been going to Bagel Basket for YEARS out of convenience. Today, however, sealed the deal. I paid $30 for a breakfast wrap & a turkey hero for my long work day on the 4th of July. I get back in the truck to head to work. I begin to eat my breakfast wrap, and something gets stuck in my teeth, but then I bite through it. I open up the wrap, and there's a long black hair. I'm very grossed out because I have blonde hair. Not a bad little shop on the inside. Has a good seating area as well. The bagel and cream cheese was good as well. The one concern I had here was all the flies in the cabinets. They did wrap the food in there, but it was a bit much for me. read more

I have been frequenting the Bagel Basket for the last 15 years. In that time I have seen it change from a slightly overpriced, yet efficient and quality establishment into what it is now - still overpriced, but inefficient with declining quality. My two most recent experiences: Stopped in with my girlfriend on a morning when we were in somewhat of a hurry. She ordered a simple egg sandwich and I got a buttered bagel. No one else in the place, the sandwich took forever and she was not thrilled with the quality. Next, we stopped in for a few sandwiches. I asked for a bacon and lettuce wrap - got 4 strips of bacon in some shredded lettuce - was looking for something else to eat as soon as I was finished. Girlfriend ordered a panini from the board, but asked to subtract bacon - sandwich was delivered with bacon melted into the cheese. Person at register actually called out the order for 'no bacon' to see whose it was when we were called up to pay. They were nice enough to make her something else when we brought it to the counter and showed them -- and in most cases we would understand the simple mistake, but the place just seems slow and sloppy nowadays. Seems like they are under new management - don't recognize any of the workers I have seen in there for the years I had been visiting prior. Not very impressed and I won't be back anytime soon. read more

My colleagues and I order lunch from here once a week. We've been doing so for years. This past week we've notice that all sandwiches and wraps had barely any meat or salad on them. This has never been the case. I then went once more a few days later and ordered a turkey, American cheese, lettuce and Mayo on a roll. They charged me almost $12 and when I opened it there was barely any meat. I am so completely disappointed. The bagel basket seems to be cutting corners where it counts. When you walk through the doors, your welcomed by a cozy family oriented environment. Everything is love about the place. Then your nose is greeted by all the good eats from the kitchen. The options are ones you would desire! The display case was clean and shiny! The team in the back are CONSTANTLY wiping down the cutting boards and keeping a VERY neat workstation that handles food! Im more impressed by the amount of business they have and the ability to take all the orders and still wait a reasonable amount of time for your food. Whatever they are doing, its HIGHLY efficient and its working! Large crowd and the orders just kept coming out. No heavy delays on even the larger orders I seen. Obviously within reasonable timing. I highly recommend this place! I will be a returner for sure cause this experience was just too good. I live about 15 minutes away, and its worth the trip! Not to mention the food taste exactly how it smelled walking through the door. The bagels, safe to assume they are fresh cause every bite was nice and soft and not dry and hard. Also a very pleasant staff. There was a mistake on my behalf where I thought they called me for my order and without thinking I paid for it. I should have confirmed the order before paying. But the gentleman behind the register was super nice and the WHOLE staff seemed so apologetic! Honestly, I was okay with it cause they worked out the mistake. I've been a loyal customer for almost 10 years. Just ordered a BLT on a roll with cheese - there is a BLT on the menu and a clear upcharge for roll and cheeses but then they charge me an extra $1.50 for bacon on my blt. When I asked them about it they said that's what it is and if I don't like it - dont come back. I just cant believe this is something the ownership would support and approve. Their fountain drink machine was inoperable, so I purchased a bottled drink from their barely cold drink case. I asked for a cup of ice to go with the soft drink and sandwich Ihad purchased and was told there was $1.50 charge for a CUP OF ICE. Really??? A new level of greed. I did not purchase their cup of ice and they have lost a customer. BTW, they use the most environmentally damaging hard plastic cups for their drinks, rather than paper cups, which serve the same purpose....just saying. read more

This place is my favorite bagel place in NY. Even though I showed up past their "bagel serving time", I truly enjoyed their "Wood Park" which is one of their hand pressed Italian panini sandwiches that consists of chicken cutlet with bacon, melted american, lettuce and russian dressing on European garlic flat bread. Delicious! The panini comes with a free side of potato, macaroni salad or cole slaw (as well as a pickle) however, I got fresh mozzarella macaroni salad that I had been eyeing since I walked in. I asked the gentleman that was helping me if I could substitute it and pay the price difference but he didn't mind and gave it to me. Not only are their sandwiches delicious they also have a lineup of appetizing meats and cheeses as well as an array of different snacks like chips, nuts, and sweets all locally made. And at, $6.50 for my breakfast bagel and a small coke, not bad of a deal either. My friend ordered the breaded chicken topped with bruscetta. This was absolutely delicious. There chicken was sitting in a balsamic sauce, which was delicious. I wish I had ordered this because it was delicious. Overall a great place for a quick bite with lots of options. I stop into this bagel store every Saturday morning and spend between $25-$40. Why? Location. Nothing special about their food but it serves its purpose for a dozen bagels, a few egg sandwiches and lox or tuna, etc. As of today, I will never go back. The store was relatively empty. No line. One person in front of me already being helped. The woman behind the counter saw me, standing 6 feet from her and she hand wiped 12 serving trays with a dirty towel as I stood there waiting in plain site. Didn't offer to help me, don't acknowledge me with "give me just one moment please ". Instead made me stand there watching her. When she took those three steps forward to assist me, I asked her if "she was ready now". Her response, "i had to do that". I suppose wiping the 10-12 trays was more important than taking care of a loyal customer. Good luck. read more

I've been to a few bagel spots in this area and this one has proved itself to be the best out of them all. Their bagels are delicious and always fresh, they put the perfect amount of creamcheese/anything you order on it. I've also bought sandwiches from them which are very good as well. Very quick service. I also really like their variety of muffins and pastries. I definitely recommend coming here. However, it was very expensive. I paid $30 for everything in this picture, and from what I'm seeing with other reviews they charge extra if you use your card (which I did)... this all should have come out to no more than about $15-$20.. they would have got one more star if this wasn't an issue. read more

This place is right by my job, and I was always interested in trying it. It's not a normal bagel shop.. they also have numerous different salads, "protein bowls" and acai bowls!! The Bagel Basket Cafe has become my go to breakfast and lunch place. The bagels are great and the salads are fresh and tasty. When I chose not to cook for this year's holiday dinner I decided to have it catered by them. So I ordered a brisket with garlic rosemary roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables and I was in heaven. The brisket was tender and very tasty with just the right amount of seasoning. The potatoes were incredible as were the vegetables. And I wasn't the only one to think so. I had nine guests over for dinner and they all had seconds. Oh, one more thing: you won't find nicer people then those working at the café. They are all incredible. With so many choices around, but the bagel basket café is a sure winner in my book. read more

I picked up two bagels with cream cheese here and was very impressed. I got an onion bagel and a flat everything bagel (I think they called it a flagel?). I got lox cream cheese and veggie cream cheese on the side. Both of the bagels were absolutely delicious even though I ate the bagels the next day. Extremely disappointed!!!! Unfortunately this bagel place chooses to charge a fee for using a card. I used a debit card and was charged 5.4%. This is absolutely obscene!!!! I know that debit cards don't even cost businesses 1% to accept and credit cards rarely come to 3.5%. What are you doing with the difference that all your card customers are paying you bagel owner? Is this an addition revenue stream for you? Or is the card processor that you utilize capitalizing on your POOR business decision to upset customers and lose future business. And, simply calling it a convenience fee or cash discount does not make this right and it ruins the entire customer experience. Why not be smart and just increase your prices across the board by 2-3%? I probably would not have noticed. Instead seeing this fee added to my bill I feel like I've been wronged. Unfortunately, the bagels here are good- and we used to drive 5 miles passing 1/2 dozen other bagel shops to get to it. We will no longer be doing this unless they do away with this "criminal" business practice. read more

I stopped to get a late quick lunch. First let me say the taste of the food was great! So good that I am sad to say that due to the behavior of the staff I wouldn't go back. While in the restaurant with my husband and 4.5 year old daughter the person who I have been told is either the owner or manager (I was there a previous time and was introduced to her) was yelling and cursing at the staff, yelling and cursing about the coffee machine and acting like it was ok. She was in the main part of the restaurant, not in the back and continued to use profanity while speaking very loudly and clearly looking at my 4.5 year old daughter since we were at the table right next to the coffee machine where this was happening. The staff was also pretty rough and not so nice but if this is the way she was they may have been having the same bad day. read more

From Utah and found this gem on Yelp while visiting family for a few days, we loved it so much we ate there both mornings we were in town. The bagels were fresh and yummy, we don't have any good bagel places in Utah so this was a treat for us. The coffee was excellent and the best of all was the Black and White cookie. Oh yum!
