The au poivre sauce was a little too salty (2 people stated) but not inedible. If you are the type that orders salads or appetizers then you might be ok with a long wait. The shop itself was nicely laid out with places for customers to relax and/or work while enjoying their beverage (and possibly dessert). There were ample tables and seating choices for customers to choose from depending on their needs. My Town's Cafe had a lot of beverages and pastries to offer. I was a little overwhelmed, but was just as happy to see variety. The drink menus that I immediately saw were mainly the specials and baristas' recommendations. I didn't see a regular menu without all of the fancy drinks until after I had paid as they were laminated and lying along the counter. I was a little bummed because there weren't any prices written for the speciality drink items and I really didn't NEED to have a fancy drink that cost almost $7. With that said, I tried one of their Spring Specials, the Biscoff Bliss Latte. It was a little sweet, but the hints of Biscoff, Nutella, and cookie butter were prominent. I also ordered a piece of bread pudding upon recommendation from the staff. It had the potential to be really good, but it definitely tasted as if it had been in their cooler for several days. I usually love visiting local coffee spots, but My Town's Cafe missed the mark for me. Perhaps I came in on an off day for them.
