This was, without question, the worst customer service I've ever experienced at any Starbucks. I placed a mobile order for an iced coffee with NO ICE. The label on the cup clearly said "No Ice," yet they still handed me a cup packed with ice. Mistakes happen, and if they had simply apologized and fixed it professionally, this review wouldn't exist. When I pointed out that the drink was wrong, one employee took it back to remake it. While I was waiting, another employee told me, "We'll let you know when it's ready," in a dismissive tone, as if I was somehow inconveniencing them by waiting while they corrected their own mistake. When they remade the drink, it was only about three-quarters full. I asked them to fill it the rest of the way since that's what I paid for. Instead of simply fixing it with a smile, the attitude only got worse. As I walked away, one of the employees sarcastically yelled, "Thank you! Have a great day!" I then heard comments directed at me that sounded like they were calling me a jerk or an asshole. I turned around and said that next time they should just make the drink correctly the first time. Their response was, "Then go to a different Starbucks." The most disappointing part was that the manager stood there and did absolutely nothing while employees argued with a customer and escalated the situation. There were roughly nine employees working, yet no one stepped in to apologize, calm things down, or show any level of professionalism. I've been coming to this Starbucks for years, so this isn't a review from someone who stopped in once and got upset over a mistake. They've gotten my order wrong before, and I've always understood that mistakes happen. I've also noticed over the years that there's a significant difference between the weekday crew and the weekend crew. However, this was the first time I've experienced outright disrespect, sarcasm, and an attitude that made it seem like I was the problem for expecting my order to be made correctly. Starbucks advertises that baristas are happy to remake drinks when something isn't right. That may be true at many locations, but it certainly wasn't true here. This staff acted like correcting their own mistake was an inconvenience and treated me with hostility for asking them to make the order I paid for. I'm a Starbucks Rewards Reserve member and spend roughly $15 a day with Starbucks. I don't expect perfection. I do expect basic courtesy and professionalism. If this location's response to a customer pointing out an obvious mistake is sarcasm, insults, and telling them to "go to a different Starbucks," then this store has a much bigger problem than making coffee. Management needs to address the culture at this location before more loyal customers decide to take their business elsewhere. As for me, I decided to follow the advice of the "helpful" barista and find another Starbucks. read more

Now that the Starbucks in Fair Oaks Mall closed, I have to come to this location. It's a little tough to get in and out of the parking lot considering it's near the entrance/exit to the mall and there's a lot of incoming outgoing traffic. I used mobile order but still ended up having to wait 5 to 10 minutes for my drinks because I guess they prioritize drive-thru orders. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of how long I had to wait for a mobile order. Also the staff didn't seem terribly friendly compared to what I've experienced at other Starbucks locations. On the plus side, the interior of the place has been renovated with a clean, hip design. Also, it's pleasant to go inside the Starbucks because it does not feel crowded (most people use the drive-thru). However, the physical layout is cramped and asymmetric (it appears to have been a former bank). Due to the heavy volume of drive-thru customers, I sensed the staff were a little stressed out and rushed. As a result, I would not expect a friendly smile from your local barista. It's a high volume, high-throughput kind of place. However, if you're patient and don't mind a few extra minutes for your coffee while a friend or family is shopping at the Fair Oaks Mall, this is definitely a convenient stop for coffee. read more

This location was an interesting one as it is located in the bottom of an office building. Typically I would frequent the drive through but the line was super long and the inside looked kinda bare so I made my way in. Starbucks can spoil you when you become accustomed to a certain level of customer service, especially the ones you frequent a lot, that when what you are used to doesn't happen you immediately notice it. No greeting upon entering the store, it was busy so I was able to walk right up and place my order. The barista who assisted me was on his own time schedule or new that could have been it too. I had to repeat my order a few times to make sure everything was captured properly. I did inquire how many stars a breakfast sandwich versus a bakery item would use. He had to consult with another barista to find out, no worries but then the other barista realized he was given out the wrong info and came over and quietly corrected him over his shoulder. He relayed the star count a second time and it was inaccurate again so the other barista just said it loud enough for me to here. My total wait for my drink was about ten minutes which is kinda long considering that there was no one in front of me in line. I could tell the drive thru orders were getting priority over the walk in customers. The inside was clean and there is plenty of seating. They also have a few seats around the serving bar if you like to watch the craftmanship take place. read more

This cafe has been closed for over two weeks. There's a make shift sign outside that is falling off the "floor wet" sign that says "cafe closed use drive thru" My biggest grievance, if the inside is closed turn off the order ahead! Typical Starbucks setup with slow-moving, long lines in the morning drive-through traffic. Indoors, service moves a bit quicker but still can take 10 or more minutes for a simple order like hot tea. Although not a place I'd recommend for a quick in-and-out when in a hurry, I have never had a mistake with my order from here--even when ordering multiple beverages and food. This is a big plus for me, as most days I would rather sacrifice time on the front end than have to return to the store or be stuck with a beverage I won't drink. I haven't frequented this location other times of the day but imagine the lines are shorter and the service quicker the later you would visit. If you have the extra time in the mornings, I recommend this Starbucks for accuracy of orders and very competent, if slow, service. read more

THEY MESS WITH YOUR DRINKS!! I ordered a Frappe from their drive through. I drove up to the window and my drink was ready. The cashier said something to the guy who made it and he walked away. I watched the cashier take a new cup, fill it a quarter way with whip cream, then took the drink already made and poured it into the cup with whip cream. Then topped it with more whip cream, and handed it to me. Then he tossed the rest of the first drink which was about half full. I went inside the store because the drive-thru window was moving very slow. I ordered Java Chip frappe with less ice and less whipped cream. Man it took them 2 attempts and still they messed my order wrong. I've been to this Starbucks quite a few times and I'm not sure why I keep coming back other than for the convenience of the drive thru. When I first started coming here the drinks were always what I expected without any issues until recently. I'm not a regular customer or anything but I've been to this location probably 5-10 times or so. The interior is nice with a separate area in the back with a larger table for those that need to spread out more with a larger group. The only odd thing about this location in the placement of outlets... they're next to the windows but in the bulkhead about a foot below the ceiling. A really convenient drive-thru Starbucks, especially if you're on 50 East (same exit as Fair Oaks Mall, before you hit 66). I usually go to this Starbucks on my way home from work. The first few times I went, they got my order wrong. I'm not sure if that particular employee doesn't work there anymore or if they changed some other process, but after a rough start I haven't had any more issues! The line varies in length, but it moves relatively quickly. Longest I've waited was a little under 10 minutes, and there were probably 8 cars in front of me. An inherent issue with a drive-thru is that you usually won't go back to get your drink fixed if there is something wrong with it. Even if I took a sip right after I pulled away, going back in line or physically going into the building just doesn't seem worth the later arrival time home/longer commute. For the convenience, I don't mind having a few drinks that aren't exactly to my taste. A pretty standard Starbucks in terms of service, but I love the location! Side note: watch out for the geese near the road and drivers who can't read the "incoming traffic has right of way" signs! read more
