Love the atmosphere for bringing a computer or book in, but if you're making a trip to this one, be prepared to wait. They're either understaffed or are just really bad at prioritizing tasks among each other. Slowest one of all the Starbucks I visit regularly. Whatever you think it will take you here, add 15 minutes. Always a line, always a wait. Absolute worst one with mobile orders. They keep them all behind the counter and everyone is always busy being slow with the other orders, so you have to wait to get someone's attention to get your order. If you're coming here and need to get in and out, keep it simple. Just ask for a straight tea or coffee. The cashier will fill your cup before taking another order most of the time. If you're hungry, get a pastry but don't have them warm it up. They'll just hand it to you with your tea or coffee instead of sending it down the line. I'm a teacher and I have very short breaks, so I decided to go to a nearby Starbucks and order my usual caramel macchiato. They were very busy, which I understood, so I didn't mind that they took a long time to make my drink. I grabbed my drink quickly and went back to my school, although I felt my grande drink was quite lighter than it should be, I ignored it because I was focused on getting back to my classroom in time. Once I arrived back and got settled in my desk, I opened the lid and to my sad surprise, my drink consisted of so much foam and the coffee was not the grande size I ordered. Who likes long lines? If you do, c'mon over to this Starbucks. Every time I go here, the line is at least 8 people long. Granted its because they do a pretty good job and the drinks are consistent. But long lines = long wait to order and receive your drink. The staff is pretty friendly. If you're looking to come here to study, good luck. Every seat is full of students. There is a nice outdoor seating section, but that gets full too. Since this is the local Starbucks by my work, it's hard to just grab a coffee with a co-worker and chit chat there. read more

This is and has been "my" Starbucks for over 10 years. I love that I still get greeted by familiar baristas and even regular customers. They've renovated the inside over the years, and have a spacious outside patio. If your coming in during a busy time be sure to order on the Starbucks mobile app. Pictured is my new addiction- Ice Green Tea with Matcha Powder and I order it non sweetened. If you like you can add milk for a creamier taste. You can't do wrong with coffee here and their ice teas are all great! Looking to munch their gourmet popcorn is butter heaven in a bag! read more

Meh... When you've had amazing coffee, even if you're not a coffee fan, you can recognize mediocre. I can't say I would never have their cappuccino with whipped cream, yet not only is it not remarkable, but you normally get whipped cream with cappuccino. :-/ The food??? Dreadful! Their pasta salad is the worst I've had. And $7.40 for a bad reheated panini and a cold bottled coffee??? Honestly! If you want to eat, there is a hot dog stand right at the entrance, which I'm sure would be a better option than Starbucks' so-called "food". The location is not very big, but it's OK, with plenty of parking and at a mini-plaza where there's a Ralphs and a smoothies shop. It also connects with a Barnes & Noble store, which may be the only special thing about it. read more

Had to try Starbucks' Halloween drink-- Frappula (White Chocolate Mocha with Raspberry Syrup..whipped cream blended in for me of course)..love the drink! No complaints on this location. One out of three times that I brave this Starbucks location, there is no line, my order is read back to me, then made correctly. One in every five visits, it actually takes less than five minutes to get my four dollar soy latte. This Starbucks has gotten better in the last six months, but last fall when I was working in this shopping center this place used to make me late/ hold me up on almost a daily basis. I actually had the Starbucks corporate customer service number saved into my phone so that I could vent my rage to the appropriate people. Not that I did. I frequently vented that rage while waiting for the second attempt at making a 140 degree soy latte. Most of the time, while I was bitching about the place other patrons would pitch in and say things like, "they are SLOW! and did you see the bathroom?!" Nowadays I rarely go to this location. This shopping center attracts the same sort of nasty folk as the location on Noble and Ventura, the only difference is that this location is larger and there are more places to sit. This doesn't mean that there is anywhere for you to sit, if you wanted to, no, this means there are more places for the homeless people to sit and talk to themselves. read more

The drinks are always on point, even though I get the same thing all the time... the setting is also very nice as there is a lot of tables that are in the right places. This Starbuck's is across the street from my bf's place, so when I'm over there, this is the location I go to in the morning to get my caffeine and scones on! ^_^ I am learning patience due to the long lines that often exist when I stroll in. However, you're not rushed once you get to the counter, which is a nice reprieve from other locations and businesses in general that seem to expect Soviet-level efficiency from customers. Also, the staff don't look or act like they don't want to be there- I don't want to be seen as a "problem" to the guy or lady making my drink. They always are on-the-ball in terms of temperature, sweetness, etc. What also is refreshing is that fellow customers are overwhelmingly pleasant as well. Horrible experience in this Starbucks!! I left my computer inside and I went out for a call they closed the door at 10:30 for cleaning and left me outside waiting for my stuff almost one hour!!! If Starbucks is a must then this is a good place to stop. Much bigger store then most but the lines are always long. There are many people that come here every day. I for one cant do work at Starbucks... way to busy and distracting. This store has a large patio outside and water fountain that makes it nice. Coffee seems to be good and they dont run out of half and half like the other stores alwways seem to do. If you are in to babe watching - or dude watching - you may enjoy this place. Encino has lots of fashion forward people. Parking never seems to be a problem but the parking lot is very active to pay attenion. CVS is right next store so you can shop before or after a coffee break. read more

Never a fan of Starbucks until I started working across the street. (No choice but to try it out, right?) This is my spot, I sit and relax at the patio outside, usually during my breaks or just to feed my friends (birds). Very peaceful at times (before school is over), there's a water fountain and plenty of shade during the hot summer. Keep in mind this place is located in a busy intersection in Encino and you'll have to deal with a lot of honking and rush hour. Also, plenty of doctors and attorneys in the area and business people, sometimes it'll be hard to find a seat if the regulars are playing board games or you have a group of students. The whole block has security walking around all the time, but you might find a few solicitors here and there. Overall it's a nice spot to sit and chat with someone if your close by, customer service here is great but it can get very busy, make sure you are willing to wait! And please be kind to one another! These guys are doing their job! If you need to talk to a manager ask for jesse or Maggie. They're the best. read more

They have a huge outdoor area, a really nice indoor space, and the people who work here are nice. I will upload a photo next time I go. I love how HUGE this Starbucks is. Finding a seat should never be a problem. And it's the perfect place to get some studying done. You won't feel claustrophobic since everything is pretty much spread out and the tables are divided into 2 sections. I've never really had the food here but if you're hungry, there's Jamba Juice next door, Ralphs on the other side of the plaza, and Wolfgang Puck across the street. There's also a Barnes&Nobles next door but I hear that may be closing down. All in all, this is probably one of my favorite Starbucks that I've been to, especially because the ambiance seems less chaotic than the other locations. read more

Very friendly staff and the drinks are made well consistently. If you come in during "rush hour" it can be very busy. I find that the long lines diminish quickly, but I usually just come during the less-busy hours. The employees are very competent and seem to have streamlined the process very well. There is usually a group of sweet older gentlemen playing chess or something in the middle table. The seats inside of the store are usually taken, but the patio area is very nice and there are several little tables out there. It's next to the street and there is a fountain there, so it can be a little loud, but not too bad. All in all, a solid Starbucks. Quick note about the parking lot - like a lot of places in this area, other drivers can be very inconsiderate. Just always be on your guard and drive carefully. Don't assume that because you have the right-of-way that the other driver will respect that. read more

Got there at 8:30 on a Friday morning. Did not receive our coffee until 9:06...When we finally did get our coffee it was hot and fresh. There is no reason coffee should take that long. The place was clean. We sat outside on the patio and there was plenty of seating and shade. I won't go back because I usually don't have that much time to wait for coffee. read more

Minus 1 star because when the line gets long (which happens a lot), it gets very cramped and it is hard to find a spot to stand that isn't right on top of a poor person trying to drink their coffee/write their screenplay at one of the tables. Great Starbucks The morning is always friendly and efficient, a line tends to build during rush hours but they do a good job in getting you in and out as fast as possible. If you get a chance to meet the manager she loves to chat is is extremely knowledgable on what Starbucks has to offer.
