The two ladies working the front worked at a good pace and gave good customer service. There was still a bit of a wait for drinks but the quality is still good. I like how clean and managed this branch was. Several tables to sit at, more for 1-2 people but there was a couple of 4-seater tables and a lot of seats to sit at outside. Parking wasn't too bad, but you can enter only from the right. I think this spot is a good place to study, there's nice and relaxing music playing at a good volume but I think that you need to make sure your devices are fully charged because there are no outlets here. Overall a solid place to do work because of the AC especially on a hot day and the vanilla ice blended drink I got was very creamy and at the right texture and thickness!! It was nice to come here for the first time and definitely will be in my radar if I'm in the area. To use the bathroom, you need a code. Only reason I'm removing a star is because the bathroom smelled terrible and stuffy, and even worse, there was no soap in the soap dispensers and there was no toilet paper at all!! read more

The employees at this Coffee Bean have always been among the friendliest humans alive, and they work very hard to keep the place clean and running smoothly. In a location with an ever-shifting number of street people who may occasionally cause grief, all condiments are kept behind the counter, which needles the personal customization experience a touch (though it's understandable). Coffee here (which I always get iced) is robustly flavored without being bitter. Though I'm not the kind of aficionado others may claim to be, even I can appreciate this Java is far better than what's being served at Starbucks. However, food items are lagging far behind. The Cheddar & Jalapeño Croissant, previously pretty well-packed with cheese and peppers and sporting a goodly hit of heat, has been revamped and replaced by a dry, very mass-produced crescent with hardly any cheese or peppers, and no spice; really, barely any flavor at all, spicy or not. Other breakfast items on display failed to ignite much of a spark in me, and their version of a McMuffin looked especially unappealing in its display case packaging. So, the food is a bit of a bust, but the coffee is top notch, and the cafe areas are comfortable and well lit. Add in the free WiFi, and this is a good place to relax, chat with friends, watch a game or do some work. Maybe just sneak in a cruller from Winchell's across the street to go with your cup of Joe. read more

Writing a review because I know the manager will chat with you on this Hung. Usually this spot has the best people working in it, I come by in the morning for my usual order or get it delivered almost every day. I love the staff, I'm friends with the regulars in the morning. Occasionally I'll come by after work to get my iced coffee refilled for a dollar because that's a thing you can do and I did so today. I approached the counter and took the lid off my cup, but before I could say a word the guy at the register whose name tag said Hung asked if I was here for a refill, and when I confirmed I was he then waved me away saying he can't do that for me when I said it was just a plain iced coffee refill I tried again and he said no no no- he didn't even give me an opportunity to show him my receipt or ask if I had one, he just said he has no idea if I even bought from the location that day and said something about it being after one o'clock. Just whipping out random baffling reasons not to help me. I'm like listen dude, I used to work for coffee bean- we do refills, So long as it's the same day, and a basic drink- it's fine. I come here every day and this has never been a problem and I have my receipt. He waved me away to help the customer behind me, but another worker did check out my receipt and rung me up for the refill. Hung was super rude, this review is explicitly to call him out. Go read the training manual dude, it's all in there- or ask for more training. Be nice to people when they come in, don't presume they're trying to rob the store of a dollar iced coffee. It's a bad customer service, I'm annoyed as hell, and you're ruining the vibe of the store. read more

This location specifically is not bad, it's your run of the mill CBTL. The inside is small and clean, and there's plenty of outdoor seating and parking. My issue is probably with all Coffee Beans I visit in general. First off, prices have gone way up since I was consistently ordering last year and before. Maybe it's because of tariffs but IDK. $6-7 for a cold brew is wild. And in terms of the quality of a Caramel Cold Brew (with cream cap), I might as well go to Dunkin Donuts. Not only did another location and maybe all Coffee Beans I've gone to let me down in this regard, but DANG do they overdo it with syrups. Maybe the regular customer base CRAVES that over sweetened diabetic cocktail of more sugar and milk than actual coffee, but cmon! Can employees prioritize the coffee unless otherwise stated? Why are we defaulting to dumping sweeteners in peoples' drinks? Some of us are healthy or trying to be. I even NOTED "less syrup please" since there was no option to do half syrup, not like it probably would have mattered anyways. I believe this is an overall issue with the company and maybe training protocols. I don't remember it being this way in the past! Is CBTL going downhill?? Note my image. Look at all the syrup pooling around the walls of the cup and into the bottom. I had to go home and add water and milk to about 4 oz of the concoction and it was STILL SWEET. Doesn't even taste like coffee at that point. This will be my last time ordering a premade drink. I'll have to customize something plain.. read more

Since I last went there, Coffee Bean was bought out by Jollibee Corp. The drinks, however, are the same - they shamelessly shovel powder into each cup and mix it all up. But in general, the atmosphere there is better than a Starbucks. I went this location to buy gift cards for coworkers. They ran out of gift sleeves. However, if you buy five $5.00 ones, or in multiples of $25, they give you a $5 complimentary gift card. My coworkers probably like this place more than I do, so I thought gift cards would be a good idea, instead of buying them the proverbial Starbucks cards. read more

Overall bad experience. Came here a Sunday morning. Drink was messed up so they remade it. My avocado toast had an insane amount of salty seasoning, was not able to eat that. Before leaving i tried to use the restroom, no toilet paper, no seat covers, no paper towels nothing. Unable to stay for them to be remaking things, I had already placed the order thru the app and it wasn't even ready when I got there, wasted time and money. Did they pour the whole bottle of seasoning on there, or is it just me? read more

I was craving something warm after a long chilly hike and decided to pop inside! Now keep the mind. I don't usually come to any coffee spots just because of how high the prices are. But I decided to give this place a chance. I ordered a hot Cocoa with whipped cream and Carmel. And my friend got the vanilla latte. The Coco was very tasty and have the right amount of sweetness. But I do think it could have had a deeper chocolate taste. It was also five dollars so I expected a little bit more for that price. The bathroom was cold only and inside. It was all right, but not the cleanest I could have been. It's a nice place to sit down and have a relaxing drink. But the prices are sky high. The service was pretty friendly and fast though and the christmas decor looked very charming. read more

The girls working today were horrible and so rude. The lady said she was covering a shift and didn't even know where the bathroom was....of course she would know she uses it too and didn't want to answer simple questions either about what there was available because they were out of everything. And the girl who works there regularly was rude too. I asked to her if she can heat the grilled cheese sandwich please and she didn't respond 3 times! When she did she just shook her head yea. No smile. Both of them no smiles. And when she They were out everything. Management isn't on top of this place horrible costumer service. I highly recommend the retrain their employees with Customer service. I will not come back to this location ever in my life now ! I barely ever write bad reviews. It used to be nice here. I'll go to Woodland Hills it Chatsworth Quick reviews just for you. Sorry this one was longer..... read more

I'm not usually a Coffee Bean gal. I worked as a barista for Starschmucks Coffee for about 6 years, and am a SoCal transplant so I'm primed for other coffee competitors, such as my NorCal faves - Philz & Blue Bottle Coffee. BUT... I definitely appreciate the variety Coffee Bean has to offer - such as their Vietnamese-inspired Vietnamese cold brew latte!? Stopped here after my appointment at The Vivid Salon (see my review for the lash lift I got there) for a caffeine fix, and the Vietnamese cold brew latte hit the spot! Also nearby is Patch Tattoo Therapy - appointment only - featured in my reviews for my first ever tattoo! I also ordered a Mango cold brew tea to bring home to my boyfriend, which he enjoyed as well, but likely would have requested less sugar if we knew it came pretty sweet. The staff greeted me upon arrival and my drinks were ready in no time. Docked a star because the cafe wasn't too busy, and some of the tables looked like they needed a wipe down. There's ample parking, and wifi here, so it seems like a good place to study, or get some work done. read more

Very disappointed in this location . I love coffee bean but the service wasn't pleasant.. we arrived 30 minutes before close, they said we couldn't use their restroom because they closed it down since they just finished mopping. I get it you wanna close and go . Next we place an order, and asked for two croissants double toasted plus our drinks . As the guy was about to toast our breads he said that the oven was down .. which looked like they just cleaned it for closing purposes again ..Why didn't he informed us of that previously ? And lastly when our drinks were made he didn't do mines with light ice and made my sister a regular size when she asked for a large . It was just an awful experience all together . Will not be returning to this location again I get you wanna close but your still open for another 30 minutes. I've been coming here for years. I hardly asked them remake my drink if taste not to their standards. I love this location. The staff are nice. Except today when I overheard Mia and Emma made a side comment about me and my order which pissed me off. They didn't know I overheard them. I spend minimum $600 monthly at this store for years. And to be treated like that makes me very upset. These baristas should go through another customer service training. No loyal and paying customers deserve that kind of treatment. read more

So happy our CBTL Tarzana CA is still going strong! We have been visiting for over 25 years and they are by far the best place offering the OG Ice Blended, (vanilla is my favorite). This location remains after several locations have closed, they were purchased several years ago and have closed serval locations that were not performing well and had expensive leases. The service is always great and they have a good selection of bakery items. You can order on the app.,go in and out and on your way! Seasonal Ice Blended drinks are always added and new permanent flavors have been introduced over the years. Go to CBTL,have an Ice Blended you can thank me later One more thing, mind the calories! read more

Gaby is the epitome of what a general manager should be! Coffee Bean needs to give her a raise! I am a daily customer; their ice blended is my one vice! Gaby does a great job leading the staff, the whole team is friendly! I will say the property owner needs to spend a few more bucks keeping the outdoor area cleaned up and the trash cans emptied. I did notice they recently upgraded the concrete patio area. I hope they invest in monthly power washing. I always feel like the ground is gross outside. read more

I am not a regular but I do find myself in the Valley often. The several times I have come here throughout the years have been pleasant. They make my drinks perfectly and they are friendly. I mainly come here because they are conveniently located near the hiking trails. I also pop in for a cold brew whenever I am picking up ice cream next door. Ample parking in the lot behind them. I went in today around 530ish and said hello and the barista didn't even say hello, I ordered my drink and she looked so bothered that I went in for a drink. So then she goes to make my drink which was a vanilla blended drink with whip cream . Then she takes a while to give me my drink since she was talking to the other female barista. Basically taking her time to finish her chatting with the other barista.she finally gives me my drink which had no whip cream so I let her know i asked for whipped cream she takes it back and puts the whip cream to the point that the whip cream spills on the counter . I say thank you to her and she walks away . So I came back because my drink did not have no vanilla flavor powder and I let her know and she got the drink and looked upset so then she remakes it and puts in on the counter and I say thank you and she walked away . Very rude service. Barista didn't even care how she made the drink. read more
