Too Good To Go Bag 10/06/2025
    Michelle E.

This is mainly a review for a Too Good To Go bag I got yesterday. Before a Peets opened closer to me, I used to frequent this location in the valley the most. It's always been good and reliable, and I got my TGTG bag quickly that contained 2 Pastries and 2 Cinnamon Roll minis. Not bad for $1.99 (had a $2 voucher)

Great place for a quick bite and coffee. I visited here from out of town on a Sunday morning. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich. It was great. I also got a mocha which is mainly why I visit Peets. Peets has the best mochas around town. There was an issue with a deal in the app that I was trying to use, D'Angelo was great and straightened out the issue for me. Great service, give him a raise.

    Large Caramel Macchiato

Peet's Coffee is the best coffee in the Valley and where the coffee connoisseurs go. I ordered the caramel macchiato today and it's amazing. Smooth and delicious! Not burnt like some coffee places. The atmosphere in Peet's is cozy and the seating is good: There is outdoor seating and indoor seating. It's a professional discerning crowd who come to Peets for coffee. The service is excellent. Someone cleaned my table as soon as I sat down and was courteous. There's a one hour limit on parking in the plaza so just park on the street if you want to stay longer. The pastry selection is very good. Also unlike most major coffee chains Peets still leaves out sweeteners and half & half for customers. Most places have removed it. Highly recommend Peets Coffee. Wish we still had the Topanga Mall Peets location!

The new owner, Leon, seems to be a nice gentleman who's trying to get a grasp on both his clientele and the business and make it a smooth transition. The shop is located in a plaza with decent parking spots. I can imagine on a busy day it can be hard to park here! Which was already a good start to our experience since Laidrey has terrible parking (no offense). I love Laidrey but wanted to give a chance to a place I haven't tried before. Upon entrance, we were greeted with a warm and pleasant "good morning!" The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The cashier/barista was the sweetest girl who gave me helpful tips on what to get. There was an older gentlemen who walked us through on the different pastries. He told us what to get warmed up and what would taste good with the coffee. I'm so glad the staff had actual good tips because man was everything DELICIOUS. The potato croquette I had was mind blowing! It was savory with hints of cumin and a little bit of spice which you can't really get something like this at regular coffee shops. My FAVORITE! The sweetened puff pastry with cheese felt decadent and good with the coffee but boy did it fill me up immediately! The savory feta pastry was something my husband ordered which he seemed to really like but wasn't a personal favorite of mine. The Spiced Mexican Mocha was smooth and creamy. My husband ordered this and it was perfectly up to his speed! I ordered "The Sam" which is a salted vanilla oat latte. I was so excited because it already had oat milk in it! This latte was absolutely incredible and she even added the aesthetic foam art heart to it. Overall, the environment was wholesome and it's a very spacious shop. Not too loud or crowded for me. I would definitely come back and maybe even do some office work here while enjoying my potato croquette!!

I like how clean and managed this branch was. Several tables to sit at, more for 1-2 people but there was a couple of 4-seater tables and a lot of seats to sit at outside. Parking wasn't too bad, but you can enter only from the right. I think this spot is a good place to study, there's nice and relaxing music playing at a good volume but I think that you need to make sure your devices are fully charged because there are no outlets here. Overall a solid place to do work because of the AC especially on a hot day and the vanilla ice blended drink I got was very creamy and at the right texture and thickness!! It was nice to come here for the first time and definitely will be in my radar if I'm in the area. To use the bathroom, you need a code. In a location with an ever-shifting number of street people who may occasionally cause grief, all condiments are kept behind the counter, which needles the personal customization experience a touch (though it's understandable). Coffee here (which I always get iced) is robustly flavored without being bitter. Though I'm not the kind of aficionado others may claim to be, even I can appreciate this Java is far better than what's being served at Starbucks. However, food items are lagging far behind. The Cheddar & Jalapeño Croissant, previously pretty well-packed with cheese and peppers and sporting a goodly hit of heat, has been revamped and replaced by a dry, very mass-produced crescent with hardly any cheese or peppers, and no spice; really, barely any flavor at all, spicy or not. Other breakfast items on display failed to ignite much of a spark in me, and their version of a McMuffin looked especially unappealing in its display case packaging. So, the food is a bit of a bust, but the coffee is top notch, and the cafe areas are comfortable and well lit. Add in the free WiFi, and this is a good place to relax, chat with friends, watch a game or do some work. Maybe just sneak in a cruller from Winchell's across the street to go with your cup of Joe.

Walking into the coffee shop, it was clean and pretty modern, walking through the patio area first to get to the inside. The setup is nice but it's small and can get crowded fast! The people at the front register were great. They were super helpful and even joked around with my son as he was ordering. We decided to go with the bacon breakfast burrito, the turkey sandwich, the pog juice and a strawberry lemonade. The food was good and they called our name in a reasonable time so the wait wasn't bad.
