When I pre ordered my drink I was told the wait time was 14-19 minute. However, I got my drink 25 min after the 19 minute wait time. So it took me over 40 minutes to receive my drink and the drink tasted off. Staff was decent but the real problem was that they were under staffed. There were only three employees working, no manager in sight. As an employee that currently works in food service this is more of a management problem rather than employee. Overall, I hope next time I visit I hope that things are running smoother. read more

Well, where do I begin? The rudest staff and worst customer service ever (by the females that work there - not sure if they are managers or what- there is one really nice guy there though feel sorry for him). Place is dirty (napkins empty, counters by napkins always dirty) Had a terrible experience several months ago with a newer female manager who made my drink wrong but insisted that it was the way the drink was supposed to be made. I nicely said I've ordered this same drink for the past couple years and it was never this empty, never once. It was an $8 drink and when I said it's normally a bit fuller idk if it normally has more milk or ice or something? (it was literally only to the bottom line of the cup!) she rudely said "well THIS is how it's supposed to be made!! So if it's not like this then MY workers are doing it wrong and I'm going to have to have a talk with them!!!" I asked if I could have a little more milk at a least and she said "nope the best I can do and I really even shouldn't to this would be to add a little more ice" So I said that's it. Not going here again. And I didn't for over 6 months Was out shopping the other day and needed some caffeine. I decided to give it a try again. Same woman was working in there different barista made my drink.. this was my $8 drink (pic) used stars for the cold foam. It was literally only up to the second line! I asked politely if I could get a little more ice (knowing they'd never give me milk) and she scoffed and threw some ice in. This time sealed the deal for me. This is the first time I've been in a 'Bucks where the young employee was able to help order something I was unfamiliar with. I was getting something for two 16 year olds and myself. I had never heard of a "Dragonfruit Whatever the rest of the name is" but this fellow explained it to me and even talked me into getting one for myself. I had trouble with the other thing and I'm still not quite sure what it was but I got it right with his help AND they were going to close in minutes. I would find this a better experience if only this and other Starbucks didn't waste so much plastic. This place has the kind of lids that don't require straws and yet they still serve the drinks up with plastic straws. read more

The Starbucks is very poorly run and even on a slow day the way times are ridiculous. However, this morning I ordered a latte and after 20 minutes went to the register where I was told to expect a 40 minute wait for my coffee. I got a refund and in doing so the manager came over and I complained that I had not been warned about the unusual delay. The Starbucks on 83 has the WORST baristas anywhere, it is as if they all missed the class on preparing coffee which is the very essence of a barista. Unbelievable!! Never had this horrible experience. I have been ordering this drink for years. Actual time was 35min! Unfortunately this is the closest Starbucks to my house. The wait is always 15+ mins even though it never seems to be busy. And even after the wait the drinks are sub par at best. On top of long wait and poor product quality the staff are also rude. My wife and I were happy to find this Starbucks on our drive between Milwaukee and Madison. We found Milwaukee to be a cold, unfriendly, and rude place (in restaurants, hotels, etc). So it was nice to be in a place where the staff were polite and professional. The store was clean as well (including the bathrooms). We don't know anything about Delafield but its obviously a nicer part of Wisconsin, People were clean, well dressed and had a normal body size. So this is really an oasis of civility in Wisconsin. Friendly, without being overbearing, this group can work through a busy line in no-time! My wife drinks her latte with soy milk. You can burn soy milk very easily and I've been to shops where the coffee is great, but they always burn the milk. Never happened here. The Bad It's Starbucks coffee. It's going to be really strong and somewhat over-roasted. Just because they make it well here, does not change that fact. I think that Pike Place is what I'll be drinking in Hell... maybe alternating between Sumatra and Pikes. Seriously, there is a point when smokey flavor becomes "take the beans out before they get that really friggin burnt color!" The Ugly Well kids, if you went back in time and told your grandparents that you would be paying $4 for a cup of Joe, they would probably think you were a bit simple.
