Got my favorite hot beverage, London Fog (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam) in a mug. I normally get their Pistachio Cardamom Scone but decided to try the Matcha Scone. The scone was good, but not great. The texture leans more towards a muffin (bready) and not the more dense, dry texture that you get with their other scones. Overall, a very good experience. Since then I've grown, I've taken responsibility for my uninspired ordering and can now confidently say--they have some of the best coffee shop breakfast bites around. What should you order? Their strawberry avocado toast. Strawberries on avocado? I'm unsure, you may be muttering. Please do yourself a favor, stop muttering, and just order the dang toast. It's goat cheese sprinkled, balsamic reduction drizzled, and quite simply some of the best avocado toast I've had the pleasure of consuming. What else? The baked oatmeal with berries. Warm, comforting, and adorned with fresh berries--it's the stuff winter dreams are made of. I love during the holidays they have some fun holiday lattes (s/o to the jingle bells latte) and I've also recently ordered and enjoyed their tangerine mocha (citrus-y delight!). A few more staff would have been helpful as the tables filled up, and by 6:15, people were waiting outside to get a table. The age group of diners is varied, and everyone seemed to be very satisfied. We ordered the Bruschetta and the Salmon with Lemon Risotto, both of them prepared very well. The food tasted very fresh, and the presentation was lovely. I also ordered the Bolognese because I love a good dish of it. This one did not disappoint. However, the meat pieces were small pea-sized bits of beef, which tasted good, but looked a bit odd. I would like to know why, but I was too busy enjoying the dish. It is my birthday and so I was offered either a free cocktail or a dessert. I love a good treat so the flourless cake was my choice. It was a very nice birthday present. I really look forward to our next visit. The menu has lots of options I want to try.

There were enough in that one bowl to make a cake! Everything was delicious. My one criticism was that they do not have mugs for the hot beverages. The espresso drinks are good, but the regular coffee can be a little bitter in the afternoon.
