The best caramel macchiato I've ever had! The employee was helpful and patient, and helped me pick out the perfect blend of beans! Definitely will be a regular stop when I'm in the area. I appreciated the friendly service. Clean and great location too!

What a gem of a place! So cute inside, though looks very uninteresting from the outside. I think I passed by the place many many times without realizing it was a coffee shop. They roast their own coffee, and have lots of interesting flovors. Interestingly, my whole group ended up just enjoying their dark roast - the national avenue - over all the other flavored kind, but it was quite good. Their latte was also spot on, and hit the spot. Barista/cashier was very friendly and helped us through our coffee selection process very patiently. Totally coming back! If you're not sure why it's called 1848, ask the server! You'll learn an interesting fact about Wisconsin.

Just an issue with the cup - otherwise the Brazilian choco-nut basic pour take-out coffee was delicious and warming on this breezy, sunny, cooler day.

I was really looking forward to trying out this coffee shop, but it wasn't that great. In all honesty, my chai latte was delicious, but I probably won't return here. 1848 Coffee is a quaint little shop, but the lack of seating could be a problem during peak hours. The decor was cute and fit with the whole Wisconsin theme, but it was a little chilly in there. They also have a gender-neutral bathroom, which is great. Moreover, you probably won't have any trouble finding parking - the lot is pretty large. One thing that was a bit confusing was their lack of food. There were some prepackaged snacks, but the pastry case was totally empty. I was hoping to grab a little something to eat (considering the fact that other review photos featured some nice looking pastries), but I was really disappointed. 1848 Coffee is pretty much the only independent coffee shop in this area, so if you'd like to support a small business, I'd give it a try. Otherwise, you're better off making the trip to Waukesha and trying out one of the better coffee shops over there.

Definitely a cute little spot. I really enjoyed the atmosphere that was both family friendly or a perfect spot to bring a good book. I ordered an ice Carmel latte and it was okay. I was not blown away by flavor, and it was a little sweater than I prefer compared to other Carmel lattes I've had elsewhere. The service was friendly and efficient and I had my drink within a minute or two of ordering on a slow Saturday morning. Would definitely stop by again as I'd much prefer coming here than a large chain restaurant.

Great coffee! But it would be fantastic if they knew how to steam milk properly! Both times I've gotten a latte, it's had no foam at all.

Ok it's about time this food truck gets it's own page on Yelp because they have been in this spot…read morefor a while now. I found this truck after finding my regular truck gone on a Sunday while I was craving full blown nachos so I stopped by and ordered the steak nachos. I ordered the steak nachos with steak, lettuce, tomato's, onion, cilantro, cheese, jalapeños and sour cream. I always add cilantro and onion in my Mexican food because they just brings Mexican food to the next level. Just look at my pictures of how f#cking delicious these nachos are and they don't skimp because they completely fill the container. Sadly to say that they dethroned my king of nachos that I had for many years all by my chance stop by because my king was gone. Sadly I really should explore more of the massive menu for a Mexican food truck but the nachos are so delicious with the chips, steak, veggies, cheese and sour cream drizzle makes it very hard. On a side note I ordered my steak nachos not realizing my wallet anemic on cash so I said stop and cancel my order because I have to go to a ATM and I will be right back. To my surprise my ATM was just down the street and when I returned to replace my order the woman handed my my steak nachos, the fact that the woman completely trusted me to return and made my order with the potential of not returning was some great service. 99.9 % of pay first food what evers would never cook your food if you didn't pay first. As you may not know I don't hand out a 5 star rating like candy like other Yelpers and only if a business really impressed me and the woman's service got her that rare Steve 5th star review. The woman had no idea that a Steve stop by and trusting me to return would get the business a home page and the rare 5th star even though it's a food truck, I don't discriminate with my reviews.

Large smoker/BBQ on hand, wide awning to protect from sun and rain, perimeter marked with cones for safety of patrons in the parking lot at Menards. Unfortunately the service and food will keep me from coming back. The BBQ was all dependent on the sauce, but it really wasn't that good at all compared to other BBQ places around the city. Plus I felt sick after eating my food so that also soured my experience. Other people seem to love this place, maybe I caught them on a bad day. The staff were very short in responses, they were bickering in back and I just wanted to go.

I ordered a half rack of ribs and a brisket sandwich. The brisket sandwich was on special for $6 and the menu board said it was 1/3 pound. I was given a portion cup so I could get my own barbecue sauce from the three options hanging on the side of the trailer (sweet, tangy, and sweet and spicy). I didn't care for the tangy at all when I tried it so I went with the sweet because I thought that would go better on the sandwich than sweet and spicy. I don't know if I would pay more than $6 for the same sandwich when it's not on special because the price was the only thing special about it. For the price, though, it was adequate. The half rack of ribs was $15 and I don't believe that was a special price for this week. Compared to other barbecue food trucks it's maybe a better value because the ribs were pretty loaded with fall off the bone meat. I did not like the barbecue sauce that the ribs were swimming in, though. I'm more of a smokey barbeque kind of person and the sauce was nowhere near smokey. It would have been preferable to just have ribs with a rub on them and get another portion cup to dip my choice of sauce on instead of having no choice in the sauce. Given that Wisconsin is currently a hotspot for COVID-19, I found it to be completely irresponsible that all four people in that small trailer were maskless. I don't frankly care if you don't want to wear one or aren't afraid of getting COVID-19 yourself, wear one for your customers sake. It's maybe one thing if you're in a large building and can easily spread yourselves out, but that's not exactly possible in a food truck. The carelessness alone makes me not want to stop again.

There is a core menu and on Fridays they add different items, see my menu pictures. This truck is six days new so it just opened and be patient because everything is cooked to order people. I have been craving a Philly cheesesteak for weeks now so I stopped by for one and the guy threw in free frys, how cool is that. There is an outdoor patio with seating next to the truck so you can eat on the spot on nice days. The ambiance is chill food truck with an open patio connected to a neighborhood bar. The Philly cheesesteak looked good with onions and peppers and creamy/ thick cheese sauce which is my favorite cheese on a Philly cheesesteak with grilled peppers and onions. The hoagie roll was fresh and soft. The chopped steak could have been seasoned a little bit was my only issue but it was good because it's how I like a Philly cheesesteak because creamy/thick cheese sauce is few and far between. I have been to thousands of restaurants in my life and I have never seen frys this style at all. They are seasoned frys but thin like super thick potato chips and not conventional frys. They were super crunchy and seasoned nicely. What gets this truck 4 stars is the unique changing menu from the core menu, the cheese used on the Philly cheesesteak and free frys on my first visit.

Earlier this week I stopped at a Janesville Steak n Shake that on a previous visit I really encountered from most corporate FF burger vendors. In fact the first three bites in that particular hamburger was delicious. But on or near the next few I came upon pink ground beef and the rest was a concern for whether to continue or to toss it to the crows along the roadway. I endured, said some Hail Marys that I didn't find an eColi bacterial infection, and told myself SnS was not going to be my next burger stop. Last night when I arrived at the store I was doing some work on the scent of that food truck was enticing. Watching a steady pace of activity from the locals furthered my interests. I was not let down. A very well proportioned sandwich was what I received. I went for a simple and basic cheese burger. Not wanting to have too many ingredients I limited it to pickle slice, onion, and tomato. Still it was large. Later after I had been done for an hour and was washing my hands before heading home I saw that my burger had still dribbled and drained my shirt. Happened to be a shirt I've been very fond of for years. Expecting a good burger and receiving an altogether leveled up version made it so much more worthwhile. The young guy, chef, I'll use that word, it's certainly well above the burger flipper guy at any McBurger shop. A nice decor on the rig, a kitchen that looked both well maintained while also being mid service is a solid plus. In recent years I've largely avoided burgers. No where near a fully committed no burgers policy, but this place will make it harder to keep driving next time I'm passing by.

The place is clean and well organized and I was greeted by the owner with a friendly smile. After a little conversation, I decided to go with 'the deuce' (2 meats and sides). I chose the tri-tip and pulled pork, greens and potato salad. Also the banana pudding! None of this disappointed in any way. stud Tri-tip was smokey and moist, the pulled pork just right, very little sauce needed. I tried some out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised how well it complimented the meat. The sides were fresh and seasoned quite well. Lastly, the banana pudding was delicious. Nothing about this meal disappointed. If you like brisket, go with the tri-tip! Easy transition and it is the best of both worlds for brisket (mostly lean with some marbling). Definitely will be coming back to try everything else on the menu! This is a must if you like good BBQ!
