Service is friendly, and the establishment is what you want a good Mexican restaurant to look like. The TV playing '90s Mexican music videos was a nice bonus. This is the best Mexican food in Milwaukee, the closest thing to it, and probably still falling short would be Atotonilco in Chicago. The place was pretty empty when we stopped in for dinner, but there were a lot of people picking up orders. I was starving and didn't want to wait another 40 minutes to eat so we dined in. Ordered ALL the things to replace those calories I worked so hard to burn at the gym. We got the carne asada fries to share, and then I had three steak street tacos and my husband ordered ... some pork tacos I believe. While we waited, we chatted with the staff and they were really nice. Learned a little about the place. We were given a little basket of chichirones while we waited. Then the fries came out. I think this is where we made our mistake! It was so much food. I thought it was going to be at least half the size. By the time our tacos came out I was almost full. We still finished all the food though because it was so delicious. Word to the wise, make sure those eyes aren't bigger than your stomach.

The music was a bit dramatic, but if there were more people maybe it would have been more subtle. For a Mexican place the prices were much higher than normal. It was a little strange - right as we were about to leave they started removing everything instead of waiting one more minute; we had been there for a while. -Enmolada very good.
