They have a permanent truck at Ope! Brewery so I decided to get the Birria plate which after tax was about $14. I planned to split it with my partner so not a bad price for two people! Everything was good, the Birria meat had no fat or anything creepy and had great flavor. The green and red salsas do have a kick! The rice maybe had a garlic flavor? Anyway, very tasty and I'd get that again. They were almost out of beans but I asked him to scrape up what he could lol so the pic may not be the normal portion. Looking at other review pics, my beans were definitely dry so he really gave me the last he had as requested! You build your own tacos which I actually liked because I added the bean and rice sides into the taco. I received 4 corn tortillas and not 8 to double up like other pics showed but one was enough and they didn't break. Only one person was working the truck and had to take the orders and cook because their QR code wasn't allowing people to place orders. It was just ok. It's a quick service concept. You order at a kiosk and you have a text sent to you when it's ready. It's pretty pricey for the portion sizes. My hubby opted for two ala carte red tacos and rice for around $10. Entrees are 15 and up. The birtia bowl was basically soup with beans and rice. It would have been better with consume on the side. We came here to do a restaurant review so I ordered a few things. Initially I was confused on if I ordered inside or at the truck, but we were informed that we would order at the kiosks inside and they pick up at the window. At least during my time there, there is no table service. We sat outside where a lovely cat stared at me until I was done eating. LOL. I tried a red taco, an empanada, the quesitaco and the keto taco. The questitaco was my favorite with the melted cheese at the bottom of the tortilla. The beef and chicken are both pretty solid and I really enjoyed the salsa. You can get consumme on the side for an extra charge, but the meat held a lot of liquid so you probably don't need it. If I am back in the area and craving a taco, I won't hesitate to come back. read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy, service was fast and friendly and the food was great! I wanted to try each of the tacos so did the keto taco, the hard taco, the quesitaco and the red taco, two chicken and two beef...and they were all terrific, hard to tell which one I liked best, maybe the quesitaco. Will not be back. stopped here for a quick lunch with my wife and it was fast, but the quesadillas were extremely greasy with barely any meat, the salsa verde was so tiny, and the rice was beyond disgusting. This is a hidden south side gem. You would never expect this to be in a pseudo large farm like lot. The location and layout is what makes this place unique. The food is decent, but in my opinion has kind of gone backwards in recent times. The prices are reasonable, but have also gone up. This place did not disappoint! My husband suggested we stop in for some taco on Taco Tuesday and it was delicious! We stopped in the dining area and we were able to order from a kiosk. There were a couple kiosks to order from so you didn't feel too bad taking your time deciding what to get. We got some chips and salsa and cheese, chicken taco Tuesday special, and a chicken burrito combo. The burrito was massive filled with delicious rice and beans and juicy chicken. The tacos came with a generous helping of cilantro and onions and some moderately spicy salsa and the same juicy chicken. Yum! The cheese with the chips is your standard nacho cheese so we mixed it with some salsa to make it more of a queso. The restaurant/dining are was clean and had someone wiping down tables as people left. There was also a digital board showing which order number was ready, helpful if you couldn't hear them, and you also received a text when it was ready. This is some of the best taco truck food in the MKE area in my opinion. Combine Mexican food with great beer and you win every time! They are located at Ope! Brewery in West Allis and kick out some really good Mexican food including killer tacos filled with birria of your choice. Personally I'm a fan of the Quesitacos with the Carne Asada but get there early because they usually run out of the Carne Asada. I' also a big fan of their Quesadilla with just about any one of the ingredients but usually lean towards the beef birria. Get extra napkins because it's any messy as it is good. read more

Then a guy finally came out and we asked if we could sit and order at the bar but nope; you have to use the online ordering system, then they bring it out. Very fast food vibe. It was NOT busy at all and the staff never came back out to ask how the food was. While my steak taco was alright, my birria chicken quesadilla was god awful. SUPER SALTY. This place only gets 3 stars, and it would have been less but my boyfriend's meal was good. We have high standards for Mexican food especially after living in Chicago and eating in the Pilsen neighborhood. ~$50 worth of food at this place is not worth it. Wow. Delicious. I tried the beef birria quesi taco, the beef birria quesadilla gringo, and the consome. All of it was so good! The salsa verde was perfectly spicy and fresh, but I'll definitely order extra next time. The quesadilla and taco were full of meat and cheese - did not disappoint. My takeaway order was so well packaged that my soup was still super warm when I got it home! There is plenty of parking here and plenty of signs inside and outside that tell you where to go and what to do. This is so appreciated! If you want birria tacos, Chuchos is your place to go! I went with a friend to figure out who had the best consume in the city. Chuchos Red Tacos won by a landslide. We ordered flour and corn tortilla birria tacos to go. They were amazing, but here's the tip, order the consume soup too! This isn't really a soup...this is the consume and birria meat...so much meat, in fact, that they provide you with tortillas and taco fixings. We also ordered margaritas. I like these margs. They lean towards the sour end of the marg spectrum, which is what I prefer. While we were waiting for our order we took our margs next door to the AMAZING green house and spent way too much money on new plant babies all while sipping our salty sour margs. The food was quickly made, it was hot, fresh, and SOOOO DELCIOUS. Please try it. It's really something. And if you aren't a hot head like me, these tacos are mild/medium in heat, so they're good for everyone! read more

Stopped by Chuchos Red Tacos on a Saturday night and I really like what they turned this place into. They have a few tables and booths to eat from the food truck, latin music playing and a bar to order drinks. It's a self service restaurant, there isn't any servers you go order your food and drinks and pick it up yourself. They have great unique dishes that I haven't seen in other restaurants yet like quesabirria tacos or birria ramen! Only negative comment I have to say (and it's the reason why I'm doing 3 stars) is because we ordered our food through the online menu, and the waiting time to get our food was over one hour and that's including our appetizers like chips and salsa as well. I went recently to try the birria nachos. They were good but my only complaint is that the chips got soggy very quickly because of the birria juice. Overall they were delicious but there was no crunch to the chips less than halfway through the meal. I felt like I had to eat them fast. I'd definitely be back but maybe I would get steak nachos instead. Ona positive note, my group didn't have to wait long for our meal and I did have an empanada as well and that was awesome. First visit tonight. Ordering process was easy. You can order at the window or on the CashDrop app. I ordered the Taco Dorado on corn tortilla, a Taco Dorado on flour tortilla, and Birria Ramen! I chose beef birria for all three, and the beef was very tender and delicious! The Dorado style tacos are crispy tortillas, which I recommend, but the flour tortilla does not hold up as well as the corn when dipped into the consomme'. The ramen with beef birria is rich and just awesome, overall! I can't wait to try the other menu items! BTW, Chuy's goes by Chucho's now due to copyright infringement, so their social media has been changed to Chucho's Red Tacos, even though the name on the truck still shows Chuy's for now.
