Birria Plate, 4 corn taco shells, meat, beans, rice, salsas and onion/cilantro.
Amber L.

They have a permanent truck at Ope! Brewery so I decided to get the Birria plate which after tax was about $14. I planned to split it with my partner so not a bad price for two people! Everything was good, the Birria meat had no fat or anything creepy and had great flavor. The green and red salsas do have a kick! The rice maybe had a garlic flavor? Anyway, very tasty and I'd get that again. They were almost out of beans but I asked him to scrape up what he could lol so the pic may not be the normal portion. Looking at other review pics, my beans were definitely dry so he really gave me the last he had as requested! You build your own tacos which I actually liked because I added the bean and rice sides into the taco. I received 4 corn tortillas and not 8 to double up like other pics showed but one was enough and they didn't break. Only one person was working the truck and had to take the orders and cook because their QR code wasn't allowing people to place orders. Unfortunate for them but hopefully that's a glitch that's not common.

Chucho's is my new favorite taco spot in the area. I visited this location for the first time this summer and recently ordered a party size platter of their classic red tacos for a game night. They don't disappoint. This location also has cool spaces that you can rent out for various occasions.

It was just ok. It's a quick service concept. You order at a kiosk and you have a text sent to you when it's ready. It's pretty pricey for the portion sizes. My hubby opted for two ala carte red tacos and rice for around $10. Entrees are 15 and up. The birtia bowl was basically soup with beans and rice. It would have been better with consume on the side. Like a rice bowl. Our bill was almost $40 for food truck style food. Not really big portions.

We stopped at Ope Brewing for an afternoon of socializing and needed some sustenance! We were excited to find Chucho's was a semi-permanent fixture. You can order via QR code or on a dedicated screen inside Ope! Menu has traditional Mexican fare and some American classics! I thought prices were reasonable for the portions and everything was cooked up pretty quickly. We had the beef birria quesadilla, which was a star! Tons of cheese, flavorful beef, and a big, crunchy tortilla exterior. I would absolutely order again!

This place hits the SPOT for some awesome birria tacos and delicious drinks! I got their mangonada/chamoyada drink and their red taco combo with a side of consome and it was so delicious! We got there during a weekday lunch and it wasn't busy at all so we got our food fast! Will come again!

We came here to do a restaurant review so I ordered a few things. Initially I was confused on if I ordered inside or at the truck, but we were informed that we would order at the kiosks inside and they pick up at the window. At least during my time there, there is no table service. We sat outside where a lovely cat stared at me until I was done eating. LOL. I tried a red taco, an empanada, the quesitaco and the keto taco. The questitaco was my favorite with the melted cheese at the bottom of the tortilla. The beef and chicken are both pretty solid and I really enjoyed the salsa. You can get consumme on the side for an extra charge, but the meat held a lot of liquid so you probably don't need it. If I am back in the area and craving a taco, I won't hesitate to come back.

Top to bottom - hard taco, Quesitaco, Red Taco and Keto Taco.

Came on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy, service was fast and friendly and the food was great! I wanted to try each of the tacos so did the keto taco, the hard taco, the quesitaco and the red taco, two chicken and two beef...and they were all terrific, hard to tell which one I liked best, maybe the quesitaco. My friend got the birria plate and that might be worth trying next time, he lived it and it was a ton of food. Will definitely be back, sad I don't live closer.

quesitaco * plate

I had a job interview down the street from here and had time to kill. I was immediately drawn to the menu, I didn't know what to pick. This the quesitaco * plate...I got beef birria it was so good!!! You walk in and the lady at the bar was very nice, lots of people in and out for take out orders. Reasonably priced, the inside was clean, food came out quick and hot.

This place did not disappoint! My husband suggested we stop in for some taco on Taco Tuesday and it was delicious! We stopped in the dining area and we were able to order from a kiosk. There were a couple kiosks to order from so you didn't feel too bad taking your time deciding what to get. We got some chips and salsa and cheese, chicken taco Tuesday special, and a chicken burrito combo. The burrito was massive filled with delicious rice and beans and juicy chicken. The tacos came with a generous helping of cilantro and onions and some moderately spicy salsa and the same juicy chicken. Yum! The cheese with the chips is your standard nacho cheese so we mixed it with some salsa to make it more of a queso. The restaurant/dining are was clean and had someone wiping down tables as people left. There was also a digital board showing which order number was ready, helpful if you couldn't hear them, and you also received a text when it was ready. Overall, great place to grab some mexican food, we'll be back to try the birria and more!

This has been on the list for a while to try. Im more of a street taco person but wanted to try birria after reading these reviews. I've only had birria twice before and I will say these were definitely amazing. I wouldn't say I'm the best job, but if you like birria you won't be disappointed. They loaded each taco with plenty of meat, and the consume was very flavorful. Enough to take home and use later.

Empanada

Literally the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I think about the quesitacos at least once a week. 10/10. The empanada was soooooo amazing too, especially with the garlic sauce. We got the guava and Jamaica aqua Fresca and they were both heavenly. My favorite restaurant in Milwaukee.

The inside of the restaurant was super cool it was decorated. I went there for dining week and got…read morethe guacamole and queso appetizers, Argentinian Steak taco, Al Pastor taco, and Crispy Shrimp taco. It came with the Mexican Rice and Cowboy Beans and churros for dessert. I also got the Rudy's classic margarita. We didn't see the waitress too much but they might've been busy or maybe she was the only one on staff. She was super nice though and got all of our orders correct. When we asked to split the checks at the end, it was sort of odd that they divided everything evenly, including drinks and put 1/4 of each drink on each check. The guacamole was nice and fresh and came with little tortilla strips on top which I took off to dip the tortilla chips in. The queso was nice, salty, and well seasoned. The Margarita was delicious, well blended, just strong enough and a nice size. As far as tacos, The Argentinian steak taco was definitely my favorite. The meat was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. The El Pastor was also very flavorful and the avo vinaigrette that came on it paired well with the dish. The shrimp on the crispy shrimp taco were big and flavorful, just a little on the dry side. The rice and beans were pretty standard, nothing super special or memorable. The churros came out warm, nice crunch on the outside and soft in the middle. The white dipping sauce reminded me of cereal and the darker one was a chocolate with almost a mole sauce type taste. Super fun place and I would definitely come back!

First time at Vagabond, went Thursday evening pre-theatre with a group of 9…read more The vibe is street taco patio meets airstream, with menus featuring photos of Jimi Hendrix and Taylor Swift. They specialize in elevated street tacos and small plates. Tuesdays have $2 tacos and Thursdays have $3 tacos, and the kitchen stays open later than most, midnight Tuesday through Thursday and 1:30am Friday and Saturday. They had space for our group, but could only split the bill two ways, and gratuity was automatically added for groups of 6 or more. I was the first to arrive and was asked to wait at the bar since they couldn't seat us until everyone in the party was there. I ordered the Hibiscus Lime Margarita. It was refreshing, and I would order it again. Our table had multiple baskets of chips and salsa, and I added a bowl of queso fundido (chihuahua cheese, pepper jack cheese, corn salsa, paprika, and cilantro). My end of the table went through it quickly. For my meal I had two tacos, the Gringo Pollo (part of the Thursday special) and the Tuna Poke. Both came with items removed at my request and were tasty. Service was quick, and Oliver was friendly. Prices are reasonable, though a bit higher than I'd prefer. This would be an occasional fun spot for me, not my go-to taco place.
