I've always enjoyed this Starbucks location, especially considering how many other stores in this strip mall have closed over the years. It's nice to see this one still going strong. On my most recent visit, I tried the protein add in for my drink and was pleasantly surprised. It was actually pretty good and something I'd order again. The seating area is on the smaller side and more narrow than open, and while you can usually find a small table, it doesn't feel especially cozy or private. Overall, this is a solid in and out stop for a quick coffee, but not really a place I'd choose to sit and hang out for a while. read more

I love Starbucks. I'm that typical person that spends too much and loves their macchiatos iced (even though some believe this to only be a hot beverage). I have ordered probably over 50 coconut mocha macchiatos (I have a problem ). I have always enjoyed each and every one until I visited THIS Starbucks. I ordered my usual and instead I received what tasted like a grande iced latte with regular milk! Normally, I would accept the mistake and move on, but I'm lactose intolerant and had a craving for my usual drink. I politely told the barista that this did not taste like a typical macchiato and stated that since I'm lactose intolerant I would appreciate if this could be remade with coconut milk. He was rude and told me I didn't know what I was talking about and refused to remake my drink. I'd also like to add he took an eternity to make it as well. I definitely will not be going back to this Starbucks for a while and I recommend you should go to other locations as well. I'm sure being a barista can be stressful and I respect what they do, but especially when there were only three other customers there was no excuse for this attitude and mistake. read more

First of all, I feel bad for the people working here. I could never do what they do, and they are probably working their hands raw. Kudos to the baristas who bust their butt every day despite rude people. We were in a hurry for a coffee and stopped in for what we thought was going to be a hot second. We waited patiently and it ended up taking 30 minutes to get our drinks. It was a busy Saturday and we should have probably known better, but a warning to anyone else looking for a quick cup of Joe, this place is not it. I go to a couple of Starbucks in the area. My favorite is the Marimont location and this one. The service is extra fast and the staff is friendly. I like the location that it is in, easy parking and next to alot of shopping which makes it very convenient. Coffee is always great. I always get soy latte and occasionally frappaccinos. I usually stick to my k-cups but sometimes you really need to "treat yo self" before tackling the work day ahead. On those mornings, I head to this Starbucks location and I must say that they handle their high traffic volume relatively well. I'm usually in and out by 5 minutes and I don't go to this location when it's slow. It's really busy with lots of online orders and seemingly long lines. But don't fret, lines go fast and you'll get your fix of caffeine dressed up in a holiday cup in no time! PARKING is the biggest enemy at this location. I did not have a good experience at this Starbucks. I ordered a "sugar-free hazelnut latte with soy" only to be served a skinny hazelnut. I politely asked the barista if the latte had soy milk in it and she gave me a nasty look and explained what a skinny latte contained. I just placed the latte on the counter and explained that at no point did I order a "skinny" option. Went in around noon on Saturday, it was pretty busy. From the time I walked in until the time I left with my drink, it took almost 15 minutes. There were 4 girls working, but for some reason, only 2 of them were actually "working". At one point, the girl at the register asked one of the 2 girls in the back to help because they were behind 9 orders. The girls looked at her, then went back to texting on their phones in the back. This is possibly the slowest Starbucks in Cincinnati. The staff knows nothing about working together as a team, and they demonstrate their in efficiency often...particularly during busy times. Drinks are lost and not made while the staff plods along, checking their phones and watching each other work. There are better Starbucks in town and much better places for coffee. Try the Starbucks in the Kroger around the corner. read more

This Starbucks is perfectly situated in the middle of my work and church. On days that I have an hour to kill between work and my bible study, I always stop by to catch up emails, reading, etc. The baristas are helpful and the drinks are always correct. A great note about this location: they always have plenty of ceramic mugs available for those (like myself) who prefer to drink their coffee out of a real cup, not a paper one. A far better Starbucks than Hyde Park, if for nothing else than ease of parking. The coffee drinks are standard to great, depending on your barrista, and rarely is there too much of a wait. Also, there are numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance, also unlike Hyde Park, you wont get nearly run over trying to get to them. read more

Help me, I'm perplexed! I have been ordering the same drink for a long time and have never encountered confusion over this order until coming to the Starbucks in Hyde Park Plaza. When I placed my drink order, a tall iced coffee, unsweetened and with soy, I was told they haven't had iced coffee on their menu for a couple of years. Wait a minute, what!? This is my go to beverage, at least once a week I treat myself to this delicious drink and now you tell me it doesn't exist? The middle aged and handsome barista figured out that I wanted an Americana although I have seen my exact drink most recently on the menu board at another location. As Consistent a brand that Starbucks is, I found this experience a bit puzzeling and am stunned that this lack of training is an issue at all. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks!!! The employees are always super friendly, which is what I love about it. They've only messed up my order once in the countless number of times I've been there and they happily fixed it for me. The only downside is how small it is.
