I stopped in here to get my pre-race coffee before running the Flying Pig Marathon. It was located near the corner of Walnut St and 6th St. Thankfully, it was open at 5 am, just early enough for me to enjoy some coffee before the race. This was one of the bigger Starbucks with plenty of seating inside. I assume it's a rather thankless job, but the employees working at that hour were all very nice and friendly. I have been in Starbucks multiple times, but I have never been treated as poorly as I was in this Starbucks my experience I mean it was horrible a lady which is like a worker. She at me. She had green glasses and she just yelled at me. It was horrible. The food is like all right like it's not amazing but it's not horrible. I just think very ambience I mean it's all right. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna say it's amazing. I'm not gonna say it's horrible, but I just I can't believe this lady with like green glasses. She was like Asian and short and fat. She was just so disrespectful and I know she's acting all joyful, but she yelled at me and I cannot believe it and she was just being so sassy. She was being disrespectful. She was just very rude and I am very hurt. I will not be coming back to this location ever because that lady just ruined my whole time there she was so disrespectful. I cannot believe the amount of disrespect because I mean, she was just very sassy with me and I think she was just being a little bit racist because that was just annoying and very sad for me personally, I have my feelings hurt and I would like an apology because this is just horrible you know and I cannot believe what happened this lady was. She was just so mean to me she gave me the nastiest look and I mean I was with a buddy of mine you know so anyway she was like mean and she was just being very very sassy because like it's just like the way she'd like talked and honestly, I cannot believe this. I cannot believe it. I am just my feelings are very hurt and I am very upset upset if I could give it zero stars, I really would. We had a friend's birthday brunch here last Sunday and Trenton made the experience amazing! He catered to all of our needs. Great place!

Do not ever go to this Starbucks. I went to this Starbucks when I was visiting Cincinnati and always ordered the same drink then one day, this manager Shelby rang me and wants to upcharge for the same drink i always ordered for the past decade. On top of that, Shelby went out of her way from the register to tell the other baristas to made my drink the 'right' way. If they want to do it the 'right' way, then the baristas should've worn hairnet and gloves when handling with food and drinks. Mind you, i always ordered the same drink whether i was in Cincinnati or California where i currently reside. Everywhere I go, i always made sure i ordered the same drink and this store always give me the hardest time. Don't go to this Starbucks. There's a better coffee shop that gives you better service than this store. read more

Convenient location. Typical Starbucks items done in a typical fashion. The place wasn't very clean and there was a small fly in the pastries case 3 mornings in a row. Seemed to be living there. The 3 others in my group require morning coffee, but didn't order any food. I just joined them because I don't drink coffee. I would not recommend ordering your coffee from this Starbucks location. The baristas aren't friendly especially their manager Shelby. Shelby went out of her way to tell the barista to make the drink i have ordered for the past decade the "right" way & wanting to upcharge me for the same drink. Mind you, i always ordered the same drink no matter which Starbucks I am at & they always charge me the same price. If Shelby wants to do things the "right" way, how about making the baristas wear hairnets and gloves when handling food because i know for a fact that you are supposed to wear hairnets + gloves when it comes to handling food / drink. There's a better Starbucks that you can order your coffee from. This location is HORRIBLE. If i can give 0 stars, i would. And plus i thought Starbucks customer service had one of the best where their baristas don't argue back but not at this location especially their manager SHELBY! Very rude. Came in to pick up a Uber eats order . I waited patiently where food pick up is and no one said one word to me. I politely asked if my order was ready after waiting for ten minutes for an employee to tell me she was working on it. Once she actually looked in the bag she realized the order was ready she handed me the bag didn't bother apologizing or anything. read more

Had my worse Starbucks experience today. I asked them to add milk to my tea, as I have been doing for the past 10 years when I go to Starbucks. The manager of store gave me little bit of milk. When I asked her to add more, she said I will charge u around 3 $ extra if you would like to add more than 4 ounces of milk. read more

This is the best Starbucks in the downtown area. The service is extraordinary, and the baristas remember your name after only a few visits. This is also the fastest starbucks I have ever been to. It is not uncommon for the line to be out the door, but it's unusual to have to wait more than 5 minutes to place your order, and it's not much longer before you have your drink, food, etc. All this, and if you're a regular they will carry on a conversation while making the drinks (don't worry, the quality is excellent too). This place is conveniently located downtown and the lady who prepared my double espresso machiatto really tried to do her best. This location is great. The espresso is always bad. Bitter or sour. Awful. Only drink in emergency. I am not a fan of Starbucks as a whole. I had never had a proper barista-quality coffee of any kind at any location. Killing the coffee with overly sweet combinations, tons of flavoured syrups and whipped cream on top is a crime. The coffee itself is bad, but it makes no difference when you pour lots of sugar and milk in it. This is not a place for coffee lovers, but rather for fancy sweet lattes fans. The success of Starbucks in USA and Europe constantly amazes me. How come this place serving overpriced caffeine slurry and defrosted slices of cakes is omnipresent at every corner? i always ask for them to shake my drink and they respond with "we always shake the drinks" and then when i don't ask it's never shaked.

Not a huge Starbuck's drinker but I do find myself at this location pretty regularly as I work in an attached building. I felt compelled to review this location because I have seen the best service here out of any Starbuck's I've ever been to. They can literally move hundreds of people through the line efficiently every single morning. In addition the ENTIRE staff can recognize the regulars. And there is a huge pool of regulars at this location. When I'm standing in line it seems like the staff knows 2 out of every 3 people through the door and they remember his or her name AND order. For friendly, fast, and genuine service, you can't beat this location. read more

I am a regular customer here at this location and I had a Terrible uncomfortable experience. I get the same thing everyday. As I paid and walked to the side to wait I seen the girl who took my order(red and black hair black dark eyebrows) whisper something to the person making the drinks. (Girl in skirt and glasses) 10 minutes later I asked what was wrong because people who came in after me were getting their drinks before me quickly, and the girl started acting funny and rude for no reason so I knew they were up to no good cuss why would they get mad. She made my wrong size coffee after that and argued/lied about what size I paid for (the screen said Venti/large) and I get the same thing everyday. I Was very grateful for the gentleman who was working their though because he seen the sketchiness going on and gave me a free coffee card. I don't know what was going on or what the problem was but they were whispering to each other and purposely took long on my coffee. Very unprofessional and made me super uncomfortable.. This location seriously has some great Barista's working here. All very friendly and will always remember you. Because it is downtown, do expect a long line during the weekdays in the mornings. They are very fast though so the line moves quickly. Probably one of the fastest lines I've experienced at a Starbucks. read more

I don't mind the long waits during the morning rush. More often than not the service is friendly and the team is pretty great. I met the worst barista this afternoon. Extremely slow and clearly did not want to be there. I ordered my drink online and showed up to it not ready which is no big deal. So I watch her make my drink. I ordered a venti black iced tea with no sugar, light ice and no additional water (meaning it is just the brewed iced tea). The girl reads the print out online label, grabs the container of tea that was almost empty, poured it into the measuring cup (it got about an inch up the cup) she ran out. Shrugs her shoulders turns and fills it 3/4 of the way with water then fills it to the top with ice. Pours it in my venti cup turns and calls my name. Realizes I'm standing right there. I look at her and say I saw u read the online print out label and ignore it I was standing here the whole time. She exhales with a shrug/moan and looks at me like how dare I catch her screwing up my drink and turns away with the drink. Told her she could keep it and that I would be back to speak to the manager. The morning crew here is amazing! But I'm never coming back for afternoon service. read more

My very favorite downtown Starbucks - and yes, there is a difference - The employees at this location are always really friendly and helpful and the lines are usually shorter. They also have a Clover machine which makes fantastic coffee and is a great option for those who don't enjoy Starbucks Pike Place (ie me). I like to order one of the Clover coffees with steamed soy milk, and they never up charge me for the soy. read more

Starbuck's on Walnut...please get your act together...you had what appeared to be five people working today at 9:18am but only one working the register and one making drinks...two stocking and a third looked to be in the back...you had a line 10 people deep and six people waiting for hot drinks...after waiting much longer than necessary for a drip coffee your cream and milk containers were empty...the only redeeming part was the two 5/3 managers sharing all the office drama while waiting in line...really a conversation that should be in private...as usual the coffee was hot, the coffee was tasty, the service was slow and not personable... read more

This Starbucks seems to have gone through a change of management. They used to be clean, friendly and efficient. However, now the place is dirty, in disarray and the staff is very rude. I go in to get my daily pike place and have to ask for the skim milk because they never have it out. I proceed to ask them for it and get a rude look from the barista. Perhaps if they took more time to keep the place organized and clean it would make their lives easier. read more
