    Cherry Cordial Cold Brew

I was on the search for some good coffee while visiting my grandparents in Cincinnati. I'm spoiled by a local coffee shop on every corner in Sacramento, but they're a bit harder to find here. Luckily, while exploring the Findlay Market Square area we passed by Deeper Roots Coffee and immediately stopped in. It has a small front area where you order with a table up front and then they had a back area as well as an outdoor area that was open for seating. I could see it getting congested up front during peak coffee time, but if customers are awae and courteous they can take a spot at the table or head to the back while they wait. The coffee is ethically sourced and they have a variety of options available. When I visit a coffee shop I like to try a specialty drink, it's always a fun treat. I got the Cherry Cordial Cold Brew ($5) and it was delicious. I'd definitely stop by again!

Really cute coffee shop and a great place to get some work done! We had an iced coffee and a Honey Bear. The Honey Bear was delicious and I would highly recommend getting it hot!

This is such a great coffee stop, very chill and quiet! My friends and I popped in on a Sunday morning and got our drinks so quickly! I got the honey bear latte, one friend got drip, and another pour over. The pour over device is really cool and we were impressed how quickly it was served. Baristas were nice and make great drinks!

Chill vibes. Nice folks. Delicious coffee! First time here. Loved the cozy and chill vibes. The folks behind the counter were super nice and helpful. My Honey Bear latte was delicious. Not too sweet, and the milk and coffee were super smooth.

Ordered the iced honey bear latte and was yummy. Not too bitter and not too sweet. Had a cute vibe from the inside as well and cute seating outside around the corner.

The shop is like its coffee: bigger - and better - than it appears. The shop itself extends further into the back with well-kept bathrooms and a nice sitting area indoors for one-on-one chats. Right outside the shop is more seating of the same ilk with equally great background. The spots are even sweeter once you get their coffee. I tried their honey flavored latte, and it did not disappoint. If I could have had multiple, I would have. The sweetness in the drink was fresh. The coffee wasn't bitter. Divine, tbh. Then, the service was equally as divine. The baristas were so polite and ensured they had my drink order correct. Def recommend!

    Iced. Yum!

The fun part about a new city is discovering its treasures. The smartest way to do that is consulting Yelp. That's exactly what guided me here. Yep, another fabulous coffee stop. This city has a bunch. Good for me, that means more options. The folks at DRC know their beans and can answer most every coffee question thinkable. They are super friendly, too. Since my initial visit, I've talked to my coffee expert friends and family to try and come up questions to really stump these folks. No luck after 3 attempts. Don't mistake that for arrogance. They're just that knowledgeable about their products. I see it's quite popular to grab Deeper Roots on the way into the Findlay market. We now stop just on a whim or when sidelined due to a bad ice storm. Now, it's a well known fact that I'm a sucker for good Ethiopian brew. Theirs is very smooth and very addicting. The flavour stands on its own so much so, that you wouldn't dream to add anything to it. Sip and savor. I wish they had more seating and more parking. We just have to deal with the circumstances and persevere. It's worth the inconvenience. 02/22

Yummy!! Nice treat. Smooth coffee not bitter. Nice staff and love their drink menu. Fun and interesting combination of flavors. Nice staff who were very patient with my requests. I appreciate that and it's important to know they care not only about coffee but customers. Honey Bee Latte is their best drink. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad we did! It was amazing. The shop is quite small and bustling on a Sunday morning. The baked goods are displayed mouthwateringly behind glass, nicely labeled. I do not think it would be possible to leave with just one item -- so many delicious-looking sweet and savory options, and so well crafted. We choose a pecan sticky bun (the last one in the case - ha! Sorry, people behind us, you didn't get to experience that caramelly flavor with the salt flake zings!), a s'mores morning bun (the delicate chocolate filling didn't over power and the whipped creamy topping were perfect) an apricot shortbread cookie (literally melts in your mouth!), and a kimchi danish (not me - my daughter picked that one and loved it). They were all superb, worth having a conversation about! We also had drinks - iced vanilla latte and a seasonal apple cider with cold foam -- also very tasty. There were a couple of tables inside, a couple outside. It's a popular place so consider yourself lucky if you snag a spot. We took ours to go, walking past a line of folks waiting their turn to drool at the glass. We ordered inside, got our pastries boxed up, then went outside to wait for our drinks to be delivered by the barista through a handy sidewalk-facing window.
