Bottom line: This Starbucks location in Parkside Towne Center is pretty nice. Usual food/beverage offerings as per any Starbucks. I like the updated interior with a handy order update board to keep track of your app order. Good amount of inside/outside seating with decent availability of power outlets available inside. Good service encountered as well. The Deets: I've had occasion to use this Starbucks over in Parkside Towne Center a few times here and there, mainly around the holiday/winter time lately. It is a very nice one inside and out, with plenty of seating outside and inside of course as well as the necessary drive thru. It appears to be newly redecorated within the last year from what I see in recent visits. I liked the seating from prior decor including bar seating and high top tables but it was pretty dark and dim inside with varnished wood in appearance most places. The most recent decor is much brighter and upbeat appearance but they did unfortunately lose the bar seating and high top tables from the past. There is now still a good amount of seating with power access available to most but not all seats. I do like the communal table in the middle that seats 6-8 people (of which I am noticing I missed getting a pic of it) that has power access as well, nice for work if needed. I really like the new addition of an order status board so you can see if your particular Sbux app order is in Received/In Progress/Ready status. As far as coffee/beverages/food, there are the standard offerings as would be expected from this franchise, with no complaints so far. Service has been good on my encounters thus far as well. I like this Starbucks location and wish it was a bit closer, but do enjoy it when in the Parkside Cary area. read more

I arrived at 6:50 PM. This store location was unclean -- floors were dirty, tables were dirty. The staff never greeted me and barely looked up to notice when I walked in. I originally came to redeem my birthday reward, but since the store was so dirty and the staff showed no warmth or acknowledgment, I changed my mind. The first thing I did upon entering was head to the restroom, only to see a sign that said, "Restroom for customers only." So after leaving the restroom, I purchased a Marshmallow Dream Bar -- not because I wanted it, but only because of the sign. This is a fine Starbucks with a few caveats. There's a big group table right in front of the entrance, hurting the feng shui. It's dimly lit, making reading books an issue. Often the trashcans overflow and the restrooms' toilet paper goes neglected. But that's it. Otherwise, the baristas are cheerful and they get the jobs done. I almost always order an iced tall quad in a hot cup. Everywhere I go that order is gotten wrong now and again. So I won't bash them for that. It must be me. Morning during the week is okay... people goofing on the weekends and laughing in your face and it's not enjoyable. Unprofessional, culturally offensive accents through the ordering speaker, didn't have change so technically I over paid for my drink, they never entered the order so had to re-order at the window... they originally handed me the wrong drink, when I told them it was the wrong drink they asked for my name (which they never took) and said "what accent was your order taken in, and did they say matey?" Like what? How old are you? And how much do they pay you to not work? I get having fun at work, but when it is at the expense of a borderline offensive customer interaction it's not a pleasant experience. Let's face it, Starbucks has grown a lot over the last twenty years and they've kind of become the "McDonalds" of the modern era coffeehouse. That being said, I really enjoyed my visit at this location. This is a brand new location in the Parkside Towne Center shopping center across from the Field & Stream store. The locations is decorated very nicely in dark "coffee" tones that provides a relaxing venue. We stopped in the other day to kill some time before our movie started and I was pleased with the service and the drink. The staff was very courteous and especially helpful with the tea selection. All the folks behind the counter while not overly chatty, was friendly and expedient at serving up a grande hot tea and Chai latte. The Chai latte was one of the best I have had in ages at a Starbucks. The was also a large round table with charging stations for today's portable electronics - A very nice place that I will visit again. read more

Makes me sad to write this being a former partner and all but I've enjoyed going to this location less and less over the past several months. This location is very convenient, including a drive through. It's easy to get in and out of and the line has never been too bad. I only have used the drive through because it's so fast. Service is prompt and accurate. The only thing I've noticed is inconsistency in what you're given in the drive through. I usually order the same thing and I rarely get a napkin with my food and usually don't get the little coffee cup plug for the lid of my coffee, without asking. Today I got both and it highlighted the great service I got from Audrey (I think that was her name? Maybe Aubrey). Ok, I gotta say, I am not sure why they have a starbucks in the Harris Teeter, one 200 yards away in the Target, and then a stand alone store across the street at 1015 Parkside Main St. I should have just gone to the one on parkside, but my son wanted a pepperminty specialty coffee that they had been advertising and we were just leaving Teeter... Anyway, the machine was not clean yet, and had to go through the cleaning cycle, which took forever. The barista kept apologizing, which was nice (in an annoying way), and it literally took like 10 minutes to go through the cycle. This store has a 100 sanitation score!! So awesome, I rarely see this from a Starbucks. There are several other stores in the area but this one is really my favorite. I've seen some of the bad reviews this store has gotten but I would have to disagree! From my experiences that is. They always make my drinks right and if anything ever goes wrong, the baristas are always willing to ask questions and help resolve the situation at hand. The baristas are also really friendly and try to get to know your name/make conversation with you while you wait for your drinks. The store's best feature may be their drive thru. They are significantly faster than some other Starbucks when you order/pick up your mobile order through the drive thru. But if you plan on staying for a while to get some work done, the atmosphere is very welcoming and sometimes they will even offer drink or pastry samples to everyone sitting in the cafe! I love that. My go-to drinks are pretty simple: a venti blonde iced caramel macchiato w coconut milk/extra caramel drizzle and the venti iced 5-scoop matcha green tea latte w coconut milk. Light ice in both, always. Their seasonal Frappuccinos are so good too if you can take the sweetness/calories. I would recommend the caramel ribbon crunch before they disappear for the summer! read more

Today is National Coffee Day at Starbucks!! For every lb of coffee you buy, they will donate 1 coffee rust resistant tree to a coffee farmer! Tyler helped me pick out a medium roast, Kenya, which is both juicy and complex. She even ground the beans for me. She is so nice and extremely helpful with a great smile. Newlin is an amazing barista that truly knows his coffee! Come today around 1 pm, he is giving out sampling's of the new Guatemala Huehuetenango and you've got to hear the story about the region it comes from! Great place to sit and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee! It has ample seating and the background music is easy listening, at its best! read more

This is a very well run Starbucks! The drinks are always good, tables and restroom are fairly clean, fast/free WIFI, outdoor seating to catch some rays and the baristas are always friendly, can you believe it?! (Ok, maybe with the exception of one girl who seems bipolar), but no need to name names here! :) This place has become my "office". It's really a nice atmosphere to hunker down and get some work done. I spend hours at a time here and it's always been great. I highly recommend this location! read more

I'm really glad they decided to open a Starbucks at this location. In the past, I had to drive all the way to the one off of High House Road and NC 55. The location is really conveniently located since there are a lot of houses and apartments nearby. When I'm here, I usually either order the Peach Green Tea Lemonade or a slice of the banana nut bread. They can heat it up for you which makes it so much better since it becomes really soft and moist afterwards. Inside, there are plenty of tables for studying or casual conversation as well as a few high ones as well with bar stools. Free wifi is provided by Google so you're covered there. I've been there many times in the past and customer service has always been on point. All the employees are awesome and friendly. read more

The reason I don't like the Starbucks at Page Road and Davis Dr is they don't have enough table or outlets! For many Starbucks, you can even get a table, let alone a table next to outlet! Today April 18 at 2:55 during the coronavirus shut down, I went to this location they were about to closedown, the kind gentleman allowed me to be the last customer. Upon stopping at the drive-through menu to give my order no one acknowledged me. I sat a couple of minutes giving the cashier time to complete the order that was in front of me. After a while I yelled into the mic "can you please acknowledge me" no one answered. I once again said hello I'm here. It was at that moment they shut down the mic and lights. I proceeded to the drive-through window and saw 3 employees standing there cleaning up I tried to explain that I was the last person and could they please take my order. They stated they closed the register. This was at 3:02. The person in charge was very condescending by getting annoyed and pointed to a sign at the window. I was very surprised because I thought they would acknowledge me earlier or say they couldn't take my order before I approached the window . The person in charge very rudely wave me off not even once look at me directly in my face or even open up the window to apologize to say anything. Where is customer service during this you time of crisis. where is humanity or even being polite. They need to acknowledge that their business is in jeopardy. We won't be in this crises forever and the public will remember. This crew needs to be aware of customer service goes beyond saying no. So everyone will know this store closes at 3 o'clock sharp. So if you are in the line close to 3 the will not serve you. This Yelp says they are open until nine. I put in a formal complaint because Of the manner in which I was treated. I did a corporate complaint. The representative on the phone was very apologetic and explain they do not do business that way and will handle the situation. I would advise everyone do not go to this location until it is resolved by making the customer aware they will close down even if you are in line at the menu. I feel it should have been handled differently. If you have experienced the same treatment please call corporate to do a corporate complaint. This store needs to realize good customer service is as good as the people working for the company. If that happens go to Panera across the street. read more

Waited almost 35 minutes for an order today inside the store that never came. They just kept taking orders yet were behind beyond belief. The girl running the store was busy being catty with other employee and didn't actually seem to help at all. The bubbly guy who works the window was trying to help in and out and one poor girl making coffees for everyone. This place is my go to spot and I spent so much time and money here and the service use to be dynamite and it has flown down a hill and today was the final straw. Truly poor service. I have been going here for about 7 years off and on and the past few years it's just gone downhill. I understand the bulk of their business comes through drive thru but it's just ridiculous to order a small black coffee and have to wait 15 minutes or longer because of their system of doing things. The last time in was the final time for me, after asking about my order I was told I would have to wait as others were in front of me, now the inside of the store where I ordered was vacant of customers so they put off my simple order that requires 30 seconds to accommodate for over 15 minutes and I get this type of response? This happened in the past very frequently but at least they attempted to be apologetic but not this time, instead a mostly rude response from a barista and her manager that day ( I am guessing he was a manager cause otherwise he shouldn't be saying anything). I walked out after paying and never receiving what I ordered. I mean if Starbucks is going to charge $3 for a small coffee than at least provide good service. read more

It's a method that more closely controls the water temp & pressure, time and type of coffee roast used to brew an exquisite cup of coffee. They change the beans often as its used with small-lot reserve coffees. A new experience awaits depending on the frequency of your visits. I loved coming here. Especially being new to the area I loved how nice some of the employees are. I usually pre order for convenience. I have a 35 minute commute and this is the only Starbucks on the way to my work. Today, I wasn't able to pre order as early as I usually do due to some cell phone issues. I still placed a mobile order for pick up in the drive thru. Just about 3 minutes before I pulled in and told the lady at the speaker about my order. I pull up to the window and she starts complaining how I should've ordered earlier, because due to their high volume, i'm pretty much inconveniencing them. What I find funny is, I could've just ordered in the drive thru and made you make my drinks in a minute but I at least gave the heads up and she went on about it but the point was not being understood because I just think it's laziness. She made the excuse about being high volume and things are opening up again but Starbucks never closed. If anything they should've adapted to the drive thru line. I don't think you should tell customers how to order their stuff? Or complain that I came there too quickly and didn't wait an extra 3 minutes to head into line? It's literally the same thing as if i went inside to order or came unannounced to the drive thru. And my drinks were pretty much done by the time she started complaining! I don't think she should face any customers. Next time i'll be sure to get her name because it was rude how she came off to me. I used to work at starbucks and that was just not the culture back then. It's not professional. The job is fast paced. You should adapt. Everyone else there has been super friendly.
