Zephyr, a new coffee shop (conveniently right next door to my apartment complex) soft-launched just 9 days ago. We stopped by on a Sunday around 11AM--they were pretty empty, but given their recent launch, understandable. Service was great--barista was friendly and conversational. I didn't see any seasonal drinks offered, so I got my usual, an iced americano with oat milk. The Americano was okay--it was well-made, and with an appropriate amount of ice, but the espresso itself was not my favorite (though on par with many of the local coffee shops). The interior design was pretty minimal, and I think lacking in a strong identity, which (imo) is an important part of a coffee shop. Plain white walls, plastic white chairs, and a Christmas tree in the corner (with some Christmas trim around the counter) all came across as a bit bland & empty. However, I loved the section near the front of the store, where there were a few leather chairs & two really interesting hexagonal coffee tables pushed together (picture attached). I think if they were to cultivate a stronger personality (and maybe offer some more unique seasonal drinks--always a plus!), that would do a lot to differentiate this place from others & convince me that I should come here to get my daily caffeine fix. Overall, though, I'm glad to have a coffee shop within walking distance of my apartment, and the service was fantastic. Excited to see what this coffee shop becomes as it matures!

Delicious Turkish coffee and an almond croissant.

I needed a place to work today and found this lovely little spot for coffee, pastries and WiFi.

**This review is for the new location in RTP**…read more I absolutely love this shop for coworking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. And they have a variety of drinks and food. For drinks you can choose from coffee, tea, matcha, milkshakes, or smoothies. For food, you can choose from bagels, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, or pastries. I enjoyed the sunshine hunter bagel and the e sunshine daydream smoothie. My smoothie was delicious and made fresh, but that bagel was everything! The staff was Beth friendly and helpful as it was my first time there. I'd absolutely return in the future.

It's located a couple of doors down from Sprouts grocery store. There's plenty of seating and it's a cute place. I loved it immediately. They have an extensive beverage menu to include smoothies, coffee, hot chocolate, as well as several food options. Their waffles & bagel sandwiches seem to be their big hits! They also have baked goods, many from Ninth Street bakery. I ordered The Elvis Bagel sandwich (Peanut Butter, Bananas, Bacon & Honey) and a hot Brown Sugar Latte. Both were sooo good, made perfectly. I also ordered a pumpkin muffin to go (it's from Ninth Street bakery) and ate it the next day. It was absolutely the best muffin. I'll be back soon.

Love the vibes when you come in- it's a very hang-out friendly, sit-down and talk, can sit around and read with some background noise kind of vibe. They do have I think 1-2 small tables in the back! Really love the staff here, they gave really great recs and are so incredibly personable. I'm not kidding when I say that Bean Flower is constantly on my mind. It was Lunar New Year time around when me and my friend came! They gave us the CUTEST red envelopes with our order with a Bean Flower sticker. Absolutely in love- y'all come get your boba and desserts! We got their Thai tea and assam milk tea this time- I'm definitely coming back for their desserts to try next time too! I wish I had more money to buy all the art they had as well.

The typical diner will probably prefer a regular cup of ice cream, but if you want to try something new this has a mix of flavors and textures but is certainly sweet and satisfying as a dessert. Although this is true of most Asian desserts, I appreciated that they specifically note that their gelatinous ingredients are not gelatin but instead have plant-based origins, which is important for many special dietary needs. I did not have room for a beverage, but I expect they would have been able to offer something good.

It looks like a small neighborhood spot, but the moment you walk through the doors, you're immediately welcomed by a charming bakery counter filled with fresh pastries, coffee, and sandwiches. Then, as you make your way to the restaurant in the back, the entire experience transforms into something truly special. The ambiance is absolutely stunning--warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. I honestly spent half the meal just taking it all in because every detail was beautiful. Now, let's talk about the food... phenomenal doesn't even begin to describe it. Everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Our brunch came out surprisingly fast without sacrificing quality, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure guests had a great experience. You could tell there was pride in both the food and the hospitality. If you're anywhere near Durham, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're stopping in for coffee and a pastry, grabbing a sandwich, or sitting down for brunch, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back, and this has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Five stars isn't enough--this place deserves 100.
