I only go to this Starbucks location when absolutely needed because their customer service is so horrible. Today I online ordered a grande pike roast with 7 pumps of vanilla and 3/4 extra splash of cream. I go in to get my order, no one says hi or asks me if I need help. I find my drink and just before I get in my car, I check the cup and there was no cream. I go back inside and tell The Lady I ordered cream but there isn't any in it. She says "oh over there we have cream and powdered cinnamon" - I say okay and go put my own cream in. Wtf is a mobile order good for if the store doesn't do the order correctly? What if I got in my car and drive to my location without checking my drink? Make it make sense. I will continue to go to other locations by me. This location only caters to certain people and it's obvious and been obvious by their horrible customer service! read more

I made my way in earlier this morning to collect my free reuseable holiday cup. There were 3 other people in front of me but both registers were open. It didn't take very long to order, but the wait to receive my drink was about 15 minutes. I tried to remain patient since I knew they were slammed with their usual morning crowd and a few extras wanting to get their hands on the holiday cup. It was a bit frustrating to see one of the workers make someone else's drink who ordered after me though. My tall caramel brûlée was a perfect way to start off my morning. I was bummed that they served my drink in my res useable cup. Many of my friends went today and were given their drinks in a regular cup and then the reusable cup. That was a bit strange. Today my mother actually surprised me and dropped off breakfast to me from this location, a bacon, gouda & egg breakfast sandwich my go-to on an artisan roll mm so good! To drink I tried a tall strawberry acai refreshers for the first time and wow it was delicious and it's lightly caffeinated too which was a nice pick me up to get me started for the day. Did I mention it also has fresh cut up strawberries in it? Yum so fresh! I would definitely recommend coming to this location and it's conveniently located by several shops so you can get some other shopping done while your there as well! read more

I just moved to the area. This was a meet up spot between me and my non-profit vender's in the exchange of some merchandise for some of our upcoming shows. This is not my usual cafe so I wasn't sure if service and efficiency would live up to the gold standard at my local cafe in Gold River. But service was excellent! Stephen in particular made my drink to perfection. As I sipped my drink before heading out, I couldn't help but notice how friendly (sweet but not chatty) Stephen was as he very efficiently made drinks, called them out and smiled at customers as he handed them their orders. This is my go-to Starbucks as it's near my workplace. LOVE IT! I've always received consistency in mine and my coworkers drinks and only once out of at least 25 or more visits did we receive a wrong drink. Even at that, they fixed the drink with a smile. I went to get a coffee here and had to use the bathroom very bad and wanted the code to get in before I ordered and the lady said it's for paying customers only I then said I was gonna get a coffee just needed to use the bathroom really quick and she said sorry you have to purchase your coffee first. The lady who took my order kept glancing down at my service dog for no reason, and once she was done with my order she said "We don't allow dogs in the restaurant so I'll tell them to deliver it outside" she clearly had a leash wrap on saying she was working, but even if she didn't, ADA law states you don't have to vest service dogs or put any identifying factors on them. once I told her it was a service dog she said "oh is it?" As if she didn't believe it, b u t okay. There's two questions a business can ask a handler. "Is that a service dog?" AND"what task does it perform?", do that instead of assuming a real service dog is a pet. also my drink tastes bad, it tasted way better when I got it at different locations. read more

I'm here pretty often and generally, this is a good location. Occasionally the drinks are not made quite the way we want, but they are pretty good about straightening things out right away. There are often longish lines here so bring your patience, especially when customers can't figure out what the hell they want. They employees are nice here, although they seem to be short-staffed a bit more often than they should be, but that's not their fault. It's a pretty safe choice for a Starbucks! read more

I have been going here for years as part of a Bel Air - Starbucks run. There is always someone on their computer, or a couple each other's company. It seems like a popular choice for people finishing or prepping for their workouts. The barristas are super nice. The service is quick- at least in the mornings. The prices are typical Starbucks. Their WiFi is also fast. If you get there early enough on a Sunday (around 8am) there is a group of older gentlemen and their classic cars. It is also nice drop off point for toy drives or school supply drives. Also the first Sunday in December it is around the half-way mark of the California International Marathon. Buy a drink and your cowbell and go cheer those runners and walkers on. This place epitomizes Carmichael, low key, no need for makeup or to dress to impress, it is a comfortable place to chillax. read more

I'm surprised this place doesn't have a perfect five stars tbh. If the original Starbucks founders came into this location, they would be proud. I've gone here countless times and they always have AMAZING customer service and high quality drinks. I feel like I'm not even at a Starbucks when I'm here, it's more like a local coffee shop vibe. I can't remember the names of all the great baristas, but Stephen, Faith, and Brandy come to mind first. Stopped in at the Starbucks in the Bel Air Center on Manzanita to get another 2 bags of chocolate covered espresso beans. I had gotten 2 bags 2-3 weeks ago, and 4 or 5 at a time gives me just the quick energy I need when I hit a slump. I didn't see any so I asked, and was told they were out at that time. I said " ok, I'll check back in a few days". I then asked if I could use the bathroom, and was told it was only for customers and I had to buy something to be able to use the bathroom. I told the woman. "but I came in to buy something, and you were out of what I came in to buy". She was so indifferent. She said"I'm sorry, but it's only for customers, and you have to buy something". I'm 70, on a water pill, and was running errands, and apparently I would have had to buy something I didn't want because they were out of what I did want. The sign listed the manager as "Christine", along with the number, which I tried calling twice. No answer and no voice mail option. I was so disappointed. When I was there before, the ladies behind the counter were so very nice and friendly. I had a wonderful, friendly chat with 2 of them. They weren't there yesterday, 4/21/23. Too bad for this location, but I won't use this Starbucks in the future. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks and the manager really makes sure everything is on point. But the new worker Chloe has really not lived up to the standards the other workers here have demonstrated. The baristas in here are very knowledgeable and friendly. I consistently get great tasting teas and smoothies in here and they have a nice size store so there is plenty of different kind of seating. Comfy chairs and bar height tables and stools and regular tables also outside seating as well. Its conveniently located if you need to pick up something from grocery store or pick up dinner there are several options of fast food in the parking lot, a few banks and an Ace and Dollar store. They are open a little later than other ones around here too so thats nice as well. read more

I came for an informal business meeting. Right off the bat the main problem with this location is the parking...or lack of it!!! I think they have 7 or 8 spaces at most! And there isn't anywhere else you can park and walk over to this place. Its right on the busy corner of Manzanita & Madison. Great for a drive thru but lousy for an informal business meeting! So the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, the staff were nice, and Hey its a Starbucks; you already know what you're getting. I really was frustrated about the parking. Dang, I just realized my previous review of this Starbucks was out of date. My compliments still stand: The drinks are consistently good; the staff is consistently friendly and know the regulars and their drinks; the store is clean and well stocked; plus it has ample seating (including comfy chairs) and tables, both inside and out. Like all Starbucks these days, this one also offers free Wi-Fi. You don't even need to worry about getting a temporary password from the cashier. Just hop online. There's also a goodly number of outlets for plugging in - and no one hounds you if you spend lots of time there. (Be courteous, though, and do get refills at least. They're only 50 cents, anyway.) Food-wise, they're full stocked too with assorted pastries and sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and in-between snacks. In terms of ambiance, there's generally music playing but it's not overly loud or distracting, in case you want to get some work done or chat. Additionally, there's a shelf with some books and games for entertaining the young and the bored. So yeah, not all Starbucks are created equally: Some are for rushing in to grab a quick coffee; others are well suited for comfortably hanging out. This is the latter. read more
