They're all very friendly when I come and totally remember my drink and Richy is always so positive and full of energy that he makes my day every time I see him in the Drive-Thru! I visited Starbucks in North Highlands, CA [4981 Watt Ave] on Thursday, 05/07/26, around 1:30 PM. My visit was primarily focused on finding a place to do work remotely. The inside of the establishment was clean and inviting. The internet provided a fast, swift connection to be productive the entire time. There were charging outlets available under the seats to plug phones and laptops; super fantastic (not all Starbucks locations offer this). The music playing was truly relaxing and not too distracting. The cool air conditioning was a huge bonus, because it was a brutally hot day outdoors. I decided to get a cup of complimentary water with ice. It was essential to stay hydrated, especially on a hot day. What stood out, most importantly, was the Starbucks employees. All of the staff members seemed so warmhearted with every single guest, including me. Great Starbucks location! I will be returning when I find myself again in this area. read more

This is my go to Starbucks. It's sad that most of the original kids are gone. They had my orders down to a simple hello it's Thumper and they made my drinks exquisitely. The new batch are trying hard and are really good kids. I'm bummed the mini library is gone it made sitting inside fun. But what can you do they can't really throw out the homeless or tweekers who disrespect the establishment. They are all not bad just a couple and they don't bother the customers. People sometimes can be rude and hard on the crew but I've never seen them be anything but professional and respectful. read more

I would have to say that this is one of the best Starbucks locations I have ever visited. I start work early in the morning so I always need some coffee, and this particular location is the closest one to my place. The morning team here is tremendous. They are always happy to help you with whatever you need even though they are always busy. The customer service deserves more than 5 stars for sure. The parking lot is huge so even if you are hauling a trailer behind you. You can always park there and get some coffee, But I wouldn't suggest going there with a trailer past 8 am because the parking lot will be pretty much full. The interior is well maintained and clean. They have recently done their remodeling inside so it looks pretty legit. Restrooms are clean and also well maintained. This place is nice if you want to come here and do your college homework or just work on your computer. I would highly recommend visiting this place. read more

The employees aren't that bad, I've been to their drive through and they're usually kind. When you're inside it isn't that bad, but oh.my.god. THE DRINKS. I ordered a Mango Dragonfruit with Lemonade today, tell me why it was 60% ice?! I just finished it- because it's not like I'm returning a drink. But most of what I was drinking was ice. I just dumped out a bunch of ice and the drink was barely filled. Such a scam, like any other Starbucks, it's overpriced. But this one is specifically bad, I've been to two other Starbucks in my area and none of them put so much ice in them. I want a drink, not ice. I have been to this SB's many times and I always order the same drink. Vente iced black and white aka tuxedo mocha no whip no ice and filled. Filled means to add milk so the cup is filled most locations don't charge extra for this but this store always charges 30 cents extra even though I delete the included whipped cream. This morning I ordered my drink but without the "fill". So a vente ice mocha no whip. The cashier said $5.45 , I said what? She said it is on promotion this week and it is $5.45. I'm confused a vente ice mocha is $4.95 I didn't add anything yet they want to charge me .50 cents extra! I asked the cashier why it would cost more and she just gave me a blank stare and said that's the price that comes up when She pushed the button. I told her I was tired of being over charged at this location cancelled my drink and left. Everytime we have came here we got bad vibes. Ill tell the story from the beginning. Made an online order. They forgot the straw and most important fault in the matter for me is they ruined my part of the order giving me a bacon wrap instead of a veggie wrap under the name of Brook. Everything else in the bag had a sticker with the proper name. I got to my place to eat to find this out. I called after eating my meal which I never eat pork but I was really hungry and did not plan to go back there again. I called to see if they would be understanding but there was no understanding. The manager rudely was speaking over me and making me repeat myself when all I said is I think that a reimbursement for MY part of the order was ruined. She said she could offer me a complementary entree and could not replace the veggie bites which I put inside of my wrap. Maybe she was saying this because I ate it idk but I fee like shit from eating the pork as I am typing this now. I finally just was like ma'am I think it be justified just for you to reimburse me for my part of the order. At this part of the conversation I was furious because she was denying me of my obligational right as a customer that cashed out. She proceeded to tell me "oh your cussing at me". I just said fuck it with any of there shitty services she was offering and said I will go to Yelp. I ordered a Black Iced Tea Lemonade and it was horrible.. It tasted like burnt coffee.. I spoke with Autumn the "Associate Manager" who told me sometimes the Barista mixes up coffee and tea because they are both dark colored liquids.. Really.. The job is to make drinks and you failed miserably..I requested a gift card to use immediately at the Starbucks at Madison and I-80 as they are the best Baristas and have great customer service.. Autumn tried to only offer another replacement drink and I said "No Thanks". My friend and I have allergies and can not have milk. I found the first drink not at all what I ordered and had to go in for it to be corrected. Once at my destination I found that the second drink, even though stated on sticker for a milk alternative, definitely had regular milk. The redo of 1st drink didn't taste good and seemed rushed. Went in for bday drink. Apparently I didn't have my birthday on app, so that was an issue. I added it and showed ID showing my DOB. Mary the manager rudely says "well it takes 24 hours to show ur birthday on app". Mike, who took my order, was very engaging and efficient. I also really appreciated him confirming that the Starbucks recipe does have water in the Chai latte. I've started coming to this Starbucks location more because it's conveniently located almost at the halfway point on my drive to work. Fun Fact: It's also the only Starbucks location on that side of Watt Avenue. There are three other Starbucks locations on Watt, but they are all on the other side of the street. Also, only one other has a drive thru. I have used the drive thru at this location about 2-3 times now and it moves at a good speed when they are busy in the mornings so I never have to wait too terribly long. There is also a large parking lot (they are located in a small shopping center next to Panda Express, Pizza Hut and some Wing place) to park in if you want to go inside. I have ordered a Grande Iced Peach Green Tea (no lemonade), a Grande Iced Mango Black Tea (no lemonade), a Grande Skinny Caramel Frappuccino (for a coworker) and a Grande Two Pump Iced Mocha (no whip) and everything has come out correctly with no mistakes. All the baristas working the drive thru have been friendly as well so no complaints there either. I will definitely keep coming back to this location because it's convenient and they always get my drinks made correctly. read more

This Starbucks could do better. The girl at the POS or register made it clear she was unhappy to exist and she messed up our order in more than one way. We ordered five drinks. A venti green tea creme frap with no whip A venti emperors cloud A venti serious strawberry with almond milk A venti ultra caramel A venti pike They forgot to give us our emperors cloud and when we went back for it did not give us a stopper so when we were driving the 200°F drink spilled and burned the holder. They also did not make the serious strawberry with almond milk. The person who ordered it is allergic to milk and passes out if they consume it. So as you can imagine that is a serious problem. There is a policy at starbucks that requires the baristas to read back the order to prevent this. I am extremely disappointed. Do better, your simple mistake or not caring about a small thing like almond milk rather than whole can cause allergic reactions. It isnt always just someone being particular. This use to be my favorite Starbucks. I would stop there every morning before work. Well I haven't been for a little while and my husband & I stop this morning to get a drinks. Our drinks were nasty, the caramel frappuccino had no caramel. The customer service was horrible. I was the only customer in there & got no acknowledgement from the 4-6 employees in there for the 5 minutes I was waiting for our drink that I did mobile order on. Finally when I walked out I said "Have a nice day" and got one of them to mumble it back. Be aware! If you place an order through the mobile app they might force you to join the drive thru line to get your order! After placing my order this morning, I went to pick it up and they refused to open the doors or give me my order. They said I had to go through the drive thru (which had a huge line) to get my order! I freaking love Starbucks but this has been one of the worst locations out there. Their card reader is never working and the staff is incredibly rude. Two days in a row now I have gone into this establishment and the first time I ordered a hot beverage and got it cold. Not in a cold cup. Just cold. And when I confronted them about the drink they said I should have ordered it hot. They literally gave me the exact opposite of what I asked for. Then today I went in and asked for one size and got, again the exact opposite. I ask for hot and I get cold. I ask for the largest size and get the smallest. On top of that. I don't know what type of management training these people have but it is never okay to yell at your employees for any reason. Especially in front of customers. If you have been to Starbucks, which pretty much everyone has, you know what to expect. What sets this Starbucks out from others is the service. Michelle in particular. She reminds me of the baristas at Dutch Bros! She is always friendly, chipper, helpful and she makes a great coffee! I come in here every Thursday before my evening class at the McClellan satellite campus. Michelle always greets me with a smile. She tends to make everyone that works in this Starbucks friendlier. She also makes some of the best lattes I have had at Starbucks. A lot of times people just pour some milk into the coffee, she actually takes some time to add the froth, which is what makes for a good latte. As the semester is coming to an end, I must admit, I will miss my Thursday evening ritual of stopping in for a cup of joe! read more
